Great Location to watch the Blue Angels

Beautiful spacious condo. Resort was wonderful. Great indoor and outdoor pools! We were able to watch the Blue Angels from the beach without the heavy crowd. We will be returning.

Wonderful experience

We had the best experience. The condo was perfect, the beds were so comfortable even the pull out couch that my son slept on was comfortable. We had a beautiful view and we’re able to watch the Blue Angels fly!

Great views and clean unit

Portofino is well run and we barely left the resort over 5 days. Instacart delivers to the unit door, and we spent our days around the pools and beach. Would highly recommend the resort to anyone, and this unit in particular. Great value!

Great place to stay.

The service is top notch. I had a problem with our stove and text them on Sunday night and to my surprise the answered me back within the hour. Someone was there the next morning to fix our issue. The resort is the best place to be in Pensacola.

Great Florida vacation condo!

It was just myself and my 15 yr old twin boys, but there was room for a much bigger family to be comfortable. The views from the floor to ceiling windows and the balcony were beautiful. We felt very much at home. Beds were very comfortable. Everything we wanted to do outside was a short easy walk. We loved our state here and we're sad when it was time to go. We will definitely book this condo again next time.

It's a two bedroom (1 queen and 2 twins) with an office nook that has a bed in it (perfect for our 10 year old), and a pullout couch. There are 3.5 bathrooms, full laundry, fully stocked kitchen, and an electric grill on the deck. Everything you need! Nice place!!

Short stay at Portofino Island

Portofino Island is a great property with a great location on Pensacola Beach. It is just close enough to the shops and restaurants, but far enough away from all the traffic and noise. The resort has all the amenities that one could want. The condo was nice enough, but needs a refresh because it is outdated. The cleanliness of the condo was not the best, we found dirty wet towels in the chest of drawers. The selling point however was the view of the inter-coastal water way.....simply amazing. I would stay in this condo again just for the comfortable king bed and the views. Nevertheless, a big downside is having to check out by 9:00 AM, that seems a lot unreasonable to me given check in is not until 4:00 PM.

Great resort

We love Portofino Island Resort! It is a great place to stay with the bay on one side and the ocean on the other side. We got the Adventure Package and it was worth it! We were able to use the jet skis, paddle boards, boogie boards, wibit, bikes, and kayaks. This condo was really nice. We have stayed in another condo at Portofino in the past and that condo had slightly nicer furniture and more closet space. We paid an extra 60 dollars to check out at noon, but it was not communicated to us that we had to notify the front desk. Our keys quit working, but thankfully our teenager was in the condo and let us in. The jacuzzi tub in the condo was not working, which was a bummer. It rained on Monday, but I had already made plans for us to go to the Naval Museum, which I highly recommend. We tried to watch a movie on Monday afternoon, but the TV in the living room wasn't working. The property manager did respond and came to the unit to show us how to use the TV, so that was nice. The TVs were very small and the main TV in the living room did not have the ability to stream Disney plus because it was too old. On a positive note, there were games in the cabinet for us to play.

Nice Pensacola vacation resort

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My sister and I stayed with our families in this unit last week. The property was as describe and pictures of the condo don't do it justice. I was concerned about the prospect of crossing the road to get to the beach, but since the condo is located in Tower 3 the walk isn't very far. Just make sure cars stop at the cross walk before heading across. The condo was neat and clean upon arrival; however, the ice maker in the freezer did not work so we had to purchase bags of ice every couple of days. There were some ice trays but we did not use them because the shelf in the freezer was unstable and the trays kept falling out and spilling on the floor. As a family we love spending time at the beach so we spent almost all our time in the gulf. I got up each morning and used spent an hour in the exercise center before going to the beach. Then we usually spent some time at the pool after leaving the beach. We didn't use all the amenities the resort had to offer, but it was nice to know we could rent scooters, paddle boards, or kayaks if we wanted something else to do. The condo and resort complex have a lot to offer and the positives greatly out weigh any negatives.

Overall Not Bad...

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was nice and the rooms were satisfactory. Perhaps more updates are needed, but overall it was home. As the towers have a lot of non-resident guests, things may go awry in the building. On the Friday night of our trip, the fire alarm went off at 12:30am. I proceeded to evacuate down the North Stair and as I approached floor 7, there was smoke and the lights were out. I was terrified and made my way down the tower. It turns out one of the units experienced a kitchen fire. I waited outside until we were cleared to reenter at 3:45am. Not once were we contacted by the property management or Gulf Blue Vacations to check on us or apologize for the inconvenience. Also, the alarm went off again on Sunday morning at 7am. No contact from anyone again. So, as the title suggests, the actual physical unit we stayed in was not bad, but the customer service at Gulf Blue and the Portofino could use some improvements. It seems like the customer follows an extensive set of rules so management can stay hands-off, but when they need to provide hands-on service, they are nowhere to be found.

This unit was excellent, the views of the bay at sunset are outstanding. Very Clean, resort staff were extremely friendly. Will definitely visit again.

Annual get away

Portofino Resort is a favorite of ours. This unit was comfortable and clean! The outside dining is a great way to take a break for lunch or relax at the end of the day with a delicious meal, cocktails and conversation.

Horrible Experience-Filthy!!

This was a horrible experience. I own the condo that is directly beside this condo, so we rented it for my daughter and son-in-law for us all to enjoy Thanksgiving together. I first called to see if we could check in early, and the person I spoke with stated she would contact the management to allow the early check-in...they never even called to give permission. When we finally got checked in, it was filthy. I wish I could provide pictures in the reason to provide proof of the epic fail. The bathtub filthy, mildew in certain places in the condo, the washer has several settings that no longer work, the kitchen was not properly stocked with dishes that are required, the ice maker did not work in the freezer, and I could go on and on. I not only think a discount should be given, but I would not recommend anyone renting this condo u til servers changes are made! Sherry White

Hello Sherry, thank you for your review. We do greatly apologize that the condo was not cleaned up to our Southern standard before your arrival. This does not happen often, but if it does we rask that guest alert us as soon as they are aware something seems unclean. Preferably within 24 hours. Had we been made aware of the unclean condition of the property, we would have had a housekeeper come by immediately to take care of any concerns. Unfortunately, we were not notified until six nights into your stay, that the property was not adequately cleaned. As soon as we were notified we sent a housekeeper by and they were denied entry to the condo by the guest. We would be happy to have you back again in the future in hopes of an improved experience. Family Time :)

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our first stay at Portofino Resort, and will definitely be coming back. The view from the 17th floor was wonderful. The condo was very nice & clean. Everyone was super nice. I have two suggestions - a dresser or some storage in the 'study' for those sleeping in there and the BBQ grill should be cleaned as part of the 'cleaning' fee, so its usable when needed.

We do have plans to purchase a dresser for the study, that is a very good suggestion, and I'm so sorry the grill wasn't cleaned - the housekeepers are required to do that as a part of every clean. Not ideal for families with children

The property and location were perfect. The actual condo was a bit of a disappointment. First, there were no games, or toys for children like I’ve found at many other locations I’ve stayed at. Very disappointed that there were no beach/pool towels. In terms of linens, one of the beds had brown stains, either blood or something of the sorts. Not enough pillows, for the accommodations. Perfect for two adults, but not for families. Of all the places I’ve stayed in the resort, I would not choose this one again.

Portofino is very nice.

The location is beautiful. The beaches are awesome. This resort is very expensive. Most things are extra charges and are not included with the cost of the stay so be prepared.
