DO NOT STAY HERE, DO NOT BOOK WITH VRBO
This place was a complete disappointment. We did not stay one night, though we paid for five. We have not been reimbursed by the host/VRBO.
I should have thought to research VRBO before booking. Their bad reviews are true. They are impossible to deal with. Constant lies and runaround.
The property was not as advertised. The caption read beautifully renovated. This was an old reno. The pictures had obviously been filtered or were taken at the time of the reno.
We were immediately struck with a foul odor upon entering. After 10 minutes of being in the space my husband felt physically ill.
Rodent droppings polluted the garage and kitchen drawers. The walls throughout were completely filthy and beat up. Very noticeable from the entry right on up to the top floor.
The kitchen was not stocked as indicated in the pictures. The stovetop and oven were filthy, the floor, the coffee pot, and again, gross walls.
The bedding was dirty, sheets covered in hair of all types. The pillows old and worn. The master bathroom shower was moldy.
I could not have stayed here had I disinfected the entire space myself (which no one should have to do) as the smell was overpowering. This was not a healthy environment, and we were not willing to risk our health for a place to stay.
We submitted photos of the issues as requested by VRBO, which the host denied were of his property. Unfortunately, we were unable to capture the stench with a photo.
Horrible experience. Will never use or recommend VRBO.
