Seascape Peninsula Bach

Relax in this compact, modern, 2022 built & furnished tiny bach. With a wrap around deck, there's always a spot in the sun/shade, breeze/calm for your deck chair.
The rear has a panorama over the rolling farmland adjoining the Carrington Estate Golf Course & towards the sand dunes at Karikari beach, to Rangaunu harbour as far as Cape Reinga on clear days.
The front has a large garden & distant views of Tokerau Beach in Doubtless Bay, Olive Groves, countryside. Tokerau Beach is 1.2km walk/drive.
The Seascape Peninsula Bach is sited on the tranquil Karikari Peninsula in the rural Far North of New Zealand. It's so freeing when the surf can be smelt, heard & seen most of the time while there. Designed with outdoor living in mind... for hot summer nights in a large spacious garden. It's lovely how close it is to take a walk, boogie board, swim, kayak or surf at multiple beaches with azure waters & soft white sandy beaches. Doorbell camera to assist you with arrival and departure.

Beautiful location

Beautiful view and great location. The bach is small, good for two people, would be a squeeze in bad weather with more but the all round deck makes it feel very spacious in good weather.

Birthday getaway

We really enjoyed our stay up in whatuwhiwhi, it was a last minute trip up for my partner's birthday weekend. The Bach had everything we needed and was in such a good spot near to so many surrounding beaches. Super easy contact with the hosts and nice tidy little cabin to stay in. Thanks for having us.

Great location! Karikari Peninsula is a must visit when travelling through Northland.

This Bach is great value for its price. Cosy with a great view north of the Karikari Peninsula. Only a 10 minute drive to Maitai Bay. 3 minutes to Carrington Winery and Golf Course. A great location! Launch to northern beaches, Cape Reinga, and Te Paki Sand Dunes.

Perfect place for our stay. The weather was terrible but didnt dent our fanstastic weekend. Easy walking distance to superette and tavern. Nice views. The owner went out of their way to get an item we left behind back to us. Very much appreciated!

Terrible

The property would’ve been ok, no actual drive a bit hard with a boat and didn’t get the code prior to arrival waited over an hour had no response had to cancel and find something else. Customer service couldn’t help at all.

Would not recommend this guest to any other host. This guest cancelled on the day of check-in, without any prior warning & demanded a refund. Our listing clearly states that we are contactable 5pm-10am NZGMT and we contacted them as soon as our business hours were open. They could have asked us if they could bring a boat and we would have advised them accordingly, as we do have experience & a skipper licence, however they didn't. They could have asked us if it would be OK to bring extra guests as it's important to know the truth so that if there are any emergencies the correct amount of guests can be evacuated or rescued. Which this guest chose to attempt to breach our property rules & NZ law. VRBO have always been good communicators & helpful to us as hosts, as far as we can tell, they didn't attempt to cancel their booking through them at all. This guest had said that they loved our place on the phone & claimed to be really happy that we gave them a full refund even though their cancellation period had ended. Then, in contrast to that gave a one star "terrible" review. If any other hosts read this, you might as well cancel this guest prior to their arrival.
