Thank you for your feedback. We do have our communication with you on record, and when you checked in, there were no issues reported and everything was described as great. Regarding the ants, an infestation of the nature described would normally be noticeable at check-in rather than suddenly appearing the following day after 11:00 a.m. Regardless, as soon as you notified us, we took immediate action and provided ant traps and treatment. You were staying with two dogs, so we cannot determine what, if anything, may have been spilled or left behind that could have attracted ants. Unfortunately, we were not provided access to inspect and verify the issue during your stay. Your stay was for seven days, yet we were not notified of any ongoing ant problem after the initial communication, which limited our opportunity to investigate and address the matter further. Following your checkout, our housekeeping team inspected the cottage and did not find any ants. Regarding the second bedroom bed, comfort and mattress preferences can vary from guest to guest, so this is ultimately a matter of personal preference. We take guest concerns seriously and always make every effort to address issues promptly when they are brought to our attention.
