Great place to stay

Perfect for Solo Traveler

This property is in an upscale, quiet neighborhood close to all the attractions in New Orleans. It's easy to drive however, I took an Uber most times because I didn't want to deal with parking. It was perfect for me as a solo traveler. I would definitely stay again.

Lovely studio with a full kitchen. Across the River in Algiers, but easy to get into the city.

Home away from Home

We spent a wonderful week in this lovely unit. They had everything we would ever need, and Angela responded to questions within minutes. The neighborhood is beautiful, and we always felt very secure. I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to come back.

“A piece of cake!”

We were in town for my Aunt’s 90th Birthday Bash. I brought everything I needed to make a big cake for her big celebration. Angela’s place was the setup for baking and enjoying our stay. It felt so private and much safer than staying in the French Quarter. Even though Angela claims she isn’t a “baker”, she was so helpful, friendly and easily contacted. The location is the best! My 90 year old aunt lives in Algiers. Growing up, when our family visited her, we always took the Algiers Ferry when we wanted to go to the French Quarter. We rarely drove across the bridge and paid for French Quarter parking, Taking the Ferry was, and still is, the way we like to get there and it is so convenient to Angela’s place. Grocery stores, shopping centers and wonderful restaurants are close by too!

Great Property!!

Enjoy the stay! My only recommendation would be a place or wall hook to hang clothes. We were there for Mardi Gras and were attending balls and didn’t really have anywhere to hang out formal gowns and tuxedos.

Gorgeous Retreat from the Busy City Hustle and Bustle

Wow!!! I wish I could rate this property higher than five stars. The property is situated about 10-12 minutes from downtown New Orleans, dependent upon traffic. There are two ferry options to carry you across the Mississippi River, also. These ferries run every 30 minutes, give or take. Upon pulling up at the property, I was amazed! This was a GORGEOUS home situated in a very nice residential neighborhood, away from all the noise and hustle associated with downtown New Orleans. The owners were superbly nice, also! I was delighted to pull up and see not one, but two New Orleans police vehicles in the driveway. While most of the inhabitants of New Orleans were extremely friendly, cities will be cities and have an element of danger to them, and staying at this home made us feel super safe. The property is as described and shown, and then some! It was gorgeous inside (kind of jealous!). Everything inside was clean, crisp and wonderful. The host, Angela, was super responsive to any questions and did take the time to check in after a day or two, but never “bothered”. The studio is situated in the back of the property, but save from running into one of the owners a couple of times in the driveway, you would have never known there was anyone there but you. The privacy factor was superb. The bed, my God, the bed. Man it is comfortable! All of the linens were nice, the decor, appliances, etc. You can tell that the host really takes pride in offering a superb getaway spot for someone. I was utterly delighted with every aspect of this stay, and so will you be. Do not overlook this property!

Comfortable and Safe Accommodations

We really enjoyed renting this guest house for five nights while visiting the New Orleans area. The unit was as pictured, very clean and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. While distance-wise we were not too far from the excitement of New Orleans, the traffic getting across the bridge was not ideal. We took the ferry twice from Algiers and it was such a great alternative for daytime travel. Parking was free along the street and the ferry took us right into the French Quarter with no worries of traffic or parking. Because I was with my teen daughter, we were usually home before dark so the ferry hours worked for us. The only downside was the limited number of restaurants close to the rental. The first night was extremely stormy so we did not want to venture out, and the only delivery service we could find was pizza. All other nights, however, we enjoyed dinner either in the Garden District or French Quarter.

Quiet And Safe

Me and 2 friends stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. It's about 20 minutes from Bourbon street but between the 3 of us the Uber wasn't bad. It was a nice and safe place for 3 girls when we were ready for a break from downtown. I'd say if you are visiting New Orleans but don't feel you need to be extrmely close to Bourbon this is your place. Snacks and water were there when we checked in and Angela even was kind enough to let us check in a little early to drop off bags before exploring.
