Embark on a family vacation filled with wonder, excitement, and relaxation. This pet-friendly 3BR/2BA home is situated in the heart of nature's splendor, designed with families in mind. Pick from numerous nearby trails for morning hikes through serene forests, followed by a short drive to Lake Tahoe, then spend evenings by the fireplace — every moment promises to be filled with joy and lasting memories.

This home has comfortable sleeping and dining for a family of 6, including children. This applies 24/7.

Recently remodeled, this South Lake Tahoe retreat features beautiful hardwood floors and stylish furnishings. The heart of the home is a fully updated kitchen equipped with modern stainless steel appliances, grey quartz countertops, and all the essentials needed to prepare delightful meals. The living area, anchored by a stunning 55" TV set above a stone gas fireplace, offers a cozy gathering space for families to unwind and enjoy movies or warm conversations.

Outside, the wrap-around deck makes it easy to embrace the tranquil beauty of South Lake Tahoe — ideal for al fresco dining or simply soaking in the serene surroundings. The deck wraps around the house and has a Gas BBQ. There is also a backyard.

Located near numerous hiking trails with a short drive to Lake Tahoe beaches, Heavenly Ski Resort, and local shops and restaurants.

Pets: 1-2 dogs allowed w/ pre-approval, additional fee required. No other animals allowed. Bring a crate if you plan to leave a dog unattended. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or in/on beds. Any barking or behavior that bothers neighbors is not allowed. You will be responsible for extra cleaning charges for hair on furniture, pet stains, dog droppings, and any damage caused by dog(s).

The home was very clean. The tub in master bath made the shower unusable for us older folks. Everyone used the guest shower. Home does back onto pioneer trail which is a main thorough fare so very noisy. We used the front patio and there were nice rocking chairs.

The house was super clean and recently renovated. The beds and linens were very comfortable. We experienced a blizzard while there and the rental company checked in often and was very responsive to all correspondence. We can’t wait to visit the area and rent this property again.

Father's Day week trip

My family and I had a great stay at the "Bear Cub cabin"! The rooms were well appointed, bathrooms were very nice, and the kitchen was an awesome feature that everyone loved. There was a full compliment of cooking utensils and dinnerware that was much appreciated.

beautiful home. super spacious inside and out. the kids had so much fun in the backyard playing in the freshly fallen snow. forts were built, snow fights were won and lost with nothing but laughter from everyone. we even built a slide big enough for adults to sled down. the house was so clean, plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, bath supplies...the makeup wipes were a nice touch. beds were so comfy. we all cannot wait to come back to this home next winter! our host, Pamela, was super responsive! super professional. very friendly.

Holiday escape

We were in town visiting family in the neighborhood and were so happy to have a clean and updated space to act as a space of reprieve from the chaos of family fun. The amentities were all updated and clean and felt ready to make ourselves at home comfortably. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking to visit the Lake Tahoe area.

The home was perfectly sized for our 4-night snow trip and was only a 10min drive to Heavenly’s CA Lodge. The living room was spacious and the large TV made movie night even better. Plenty of space for more people but we just wanted some luxury before heading back to work! There is also access to the deck/outside in every room!

Great experience with outstanding communication from vacation property manager. Only major side effect was the air of the heater was extremely drying. Still experiencing side effects from the heater. This isn’t to blame the property at all. May need a cleaning of the vents. The communication was great as we checked to see if they had humidifiers which they did and they sent those over immediately. Clean house. Great neighborhood. Would stay again

Nice and relaxing vacation rental!

Everything was ready when we arrived at 4:00! We had asked for an hour earlier checkin since we had been traveling since 5:00 am, but that is never allowed! The property looked like the photos except the yard! The back yard needs TLC as it was not an inviting space to relax in outside! The rest of the property was very, clean, recently redecorated and owners left a start up of coffee and great snacks! Also if it had been hot I’m not sure how cool the house would have been, but we were blessed with crisp, cool weather. The neighborhood was perfect for walking. We enjoyed our stay!

Spring weekend getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I and our two tween children stayed here with our small dog. The amenities were very nice. Beds were very comfortable. We had fun with the puzzles. And they provided what was needed for shoveling the snow off the walkways and deck. We were there at the end of March/early April so there wasn’t much snow. The location is great. Very close to restaurants etc. The refrigerator door opens into the kitchen which just made it a little awkward. I was tempted to switch the door to open the other way as it’s an easy fix.Our only very minor complaint was that the street behind the house is very loud. We would stay here again.

We really enjoyed the cabin, comfortable, great location, can be a bit noisy due to major street vacinity, but with good insulation, we did not have an issue. House was very clean, nice bedding and comfy mattresses. Kitchen was well stocked, and organized and had all the essentials and more.TV did not have extra speaker, therefore the volume at max on TV internal speaker was very low and hard to hear.The backyard was great, fenced, which is plus. We enjoyed dinner outside and use of BBQ. We Wished there was a small fire pit to enjoy in the evenings.We had our service dog with us, and she enjoyed her stay immensely; provided bags, bowls and other pet accessories was a plus. The house supports EV cars, so its wonderful to have one to charge a car. Property is located in a nice, friendly and clean neighborhood. We would love to stay here again in the future.
