Private Paradise
The pictures don't do the bay justice! The privacy is fantastic; it feels secluded and quite impressive. For nature lovers especially, the naturalized areas are really gorgeous but also separated from the swimming area so you get a great sandy little beach but also good wildlife spotting. We loved the small touches for families! There was a stepping stool inside, a bin of toy trucks and squirters outside, and plenty of toys for the grownups like a SUP and two kayaks. A practical note- there were fans for every room (including three in the small bunkie) and the AC was good. For those who have read reviews about swimming and weeds, I'm a very picky swimmer but the shallow beach water was fairly clear and the tall water weeds do pickup but only past the end of the main dock and even that only lasts for a span of a few meters (a "highway" for fish in the lake!), and was easy to swim through to deeper, clearer swimming. Very manageable, we were pleasantly surprised!Note that you will need to pack out your garbage. We didn't leave room in the car and although there are helpful instructions for visiting the local dump, it's hours can be tricky. No fussy closing instructions though, as a tradeoff.
