I will be posting pictures a little bit later, but I would be embarrassed to rent this out. Your pictures that you show are very very inaccurate. This is rundown. It was dirty and we are sorely disappointed. I will send pictures later and this needs to be adjusted and others need to know about this false advertising.

We’re sorry to hear that you left feeling so disappointed with the home. We take concerns about cleanliness and the condition of our properties seriously, so we were surprised to read this after your stay, as no concerns or issues were reported to our team while you were at the property. Had we known you were unhappy with the condition of the home, we would have appreciated the opportunity to inspect the concerns you described and address anything that needed attention during your stay. Our team is available to help when issues arise, but unfortunately, we can’t correct something we aren’t made aware of. We also take the suggestion that the property was falsely advertised seriously. We work to represent our homes accurately, so guests know what to expect when booking. We would be happy to review any photos you provide alongside our property records and listing to better understand your concerns. We’re sorry this home did not meet your expectations and wish we had been given the opportunity to help while you were here.

Great location!

Great time and cozy house. Very charming. I was disappointed about not having a washer dryer but the laundromat across the street is great and clean. Parking was not a problem this time of the year.

Charming

This beach house is charming… a bit older, but spacious, easy to access and perfect for our trip. We couldn’t get maintainence out one day, but we left the next… the first day we needed them they were super fast.

Kelly, thank you for bringing this to our attention and we are incredibly sorry about the sheets in the pull-out bed that must've just been overlooked unfortunately. We do hope that despite this, your stay was still exceptional. We hope to host you again in the future.

Great location!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a cute little cottage in a very good location. A little old, but call it character, and decently clean. The only drawback is no garage to speak of, so we preferred to park on the street. Like all rental, this could use some updating. I was extremely impressed with the Burr White staff anf their competency and friendliness.

Love Shack Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was everything our family needed, great location!A few things to improve on: Clean better, update amenities and could have used a baby gate. We had a 2-year-old, and it was quite the challenge being a corner house on a busy street and had to stack chairs to block patio opening.But.... for the price point, it worked out our stay was most excellent.

We enjoy looking for the out of the ordinary. The cottage was a perfect location for all we did; exploring the palo verde peninsula, Hollywood, seeing Rod Stewart at the Hollywood Bowl, finding the original House on Haunted Hill, la brea tarpits, Prterson automobile museum, Griffith park, crystal cove, strolling on Newport Beach, Charlie’s chili, balboa island, the piers. Most beings ended in wonderful sunsets and enjoying the afternoon sand and surf.

100yr old beauty

This piece of history was so quaint. Felt like stepping back in time with the light fixture yet amenities for the modern day. We walked everywhere. The location is perfect for all of the amazing spots Newport offers. Don’t forget to Bring your own towels for the beach. Burr white was so wonderful and professional and answered the phone with all my questions. We will be back for sure!

Awesome Location

The Burr White Realty Staff were an absolute pleasure to work with - they were flexible with us when we had to switch our travel dates due to having a sick kid. The location of this rental was hard to beat as there was everything you need within walking distance, even a grocery store! We also had a parking spot right in front of the garage which was so convenient.

Great little house for my husband and my vacation to Newport Beach.

Walking distance to beach, shopping, restaurants, including 24 hour doughnuts, grocery store. Great sun room and front porch to sit on. There is some road noise, but you’re at the beach 😊 As the management company will tell you, pay attention to the street signs and street sweeping days, they are all different.

Quaint and lovely beach house

We Loved our stay!! If you are looking for modern this is not the place for you. We LOVED the quaint feel and cozy atmosphere of this 1930's beach house. It has lots of room, is super close to the beach, and was a wonderful stay!! All our needs were met, and we will stay again.

Very close to the beach.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We found Burr White highly responsive to input and sensitive to the needs of vacationers, justifying our decision to reserve through a local-based agency rather than fee-ridden, non-local, and non-responsive VRBO and AirBnB. I have every confidence that Burr White listens, and it is in that spirit that I recommend this property.

Super charming historic house in a great location!

We loved staying here and would definitely come back again! Not sure if it had been booked in a while though, because did not appear to have been recently cleaned or at least not cleaned thoroughly and was very stuffy when we arrived. Nothing that would keep us from staying again though. It is in a great location near grocery shopping, beach, boardwalk and the pier.

Perfect location, old school beach house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you are looking for a place that is walking distance from everything you could possibly need and want at the beach, this is the place. Door to shore is about 1000 steps. Grocery store and restaurants - even fewer. Newport Pier - easy 10 minute walk. For the place itself - if you are looking for a place to put stuff and sleep between trips to the beach, bike rides along the promenade, and bars and restaurants, then this is your place. If you are looking for a comfy home to go along with all of that, then here are a few things to know.1. It’s a lively beach community on W. Balboa Blvd. They have good windows that help cut down noise. On weekends it can be busy with both cars and people walking along the side of the house. 2. This place does not have designated parking. It says “garage”, but this garage would at best fit a Mini Cooper and you’d still have to be super skinny to get in and out of car. The garage faces W. Balboa so backing in is difficult. If you drive here, find a good parking spot on the street, then walk or get a taxi/Lyft/Uber to your destinations outside of the beach. Caveat-there are days when you have to move your car for street sweeping or you get a ticket (happened to me twice). There are signs and you can move your car before 8:30 and avoid a ticket. 3. The house has a nice living room and a great sunroom. The rooms are small and beds are hard. Also, the bedding is basic and you have to put on the sheets yourself. Towels are thin. Homes I’ve rented before, the beds are made and they have much thicker towels. Kitchen has plugs in 1 location and appliances need to be switched to use.4. The house has no beach items like towels or chairs. You have to rent them through a linen agency at an additional charge. The homes I’ve rented before in the area have had all beach stuff included.5. Reminder: there is no laundry at the house. There is a laundry mat across street.

Brian&Julie's summer beach vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was great... wish I'd gotten to enjoy it more... on a day excursion to catalina, Julie suffered an accident that put her in the hospital for a week. We'd only been in the rental 3-days of our scheduled week stay at that point.
