Hands down the best vantage point in town — the kind of panoramic scene that makes you stop mid-step, whisper “wow,” and immediately start taking photos like you’re trying to win National Geographic.Morning coffee on the deck? Unreal. Sunset? Spiritual experience. Night sky? You’ll swear you can see the Milky Way doing a little dance.Now… stepping inside the home is a totally different vibe.The best way I can describe it: the moment you walk in, it feels like grandma is about to offer you a Werther’s Original and ask if you’re “eating enough.” There’s a charming, cozy nostalgia to it… but also a strong “grandpa hasn’t updated a thing since 1997” energy.A few things clearly need some refreshing:some fixtures feel datedparts of the place show their agea couple updates would take this from retro to mountain lux real quickThat said — it’s clean and comfortable. If you can laugh a little and appreciate a place with personality, you’ll enjoy it.Bottom line:Come for the views. Stay for the peace. Wonderful cabin for making family memories

Cabin had nice bedrooms, with three bathrooms. Largest bedroom upstairs with a loft. No door for privacy but has your own space. One bedroom main floor which is convenient for older people or those with issues with stairs. 2 bedrooms downstairs with shared bath. Game room is wonderful with comfy couch. Lots of towels in every room. Some suggestions for improvement: TV main floor would be nice Batteries in all remotes Additional Wii games Clean grill

Mountain Home

There was plenty of space for the entire extended family. We enjoyed ourselves and were comfortable but it is an older home. The home was surface clean but if you look behind the doors there was a layer of dirt. We decided not to look behind the doors. Ha! The owners should consider updating the bedding. The bedspreads were old and the sheets were hard. Making this change would probably push this home to 5 stars. Overall it was a lovely stay and the location was perfect. We also loved the patio and the view!!

Dodson double decker stay

Our family gathering at Dodson was an amazing experience. Everything was in order, and we lacked nothing in this home. Very spacious and comfortable, not to mention spectacular views from our balcony. We will definitely be back.

Great weekend getaway!!!

This cabin has a great Mountain View!!! We loved that it had king beds in all of the rooms, everything that we needed in the kitchen and had a great grill for outdoor cooking. We would definitely stay here again.

This property was in a good location with beautiful views and had great space for all 9 of our family members. It was very clean, but needed some minor improvements, including fixing a sliding door in living room, a small leak on dishwasher and the dryers did not dry clothes well. However, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend and stay there again without hesitation. The house was well insulated.... while we were there we had over 20 inches of snow and temps in the low teens, but the house was always warm and cozy. You won’t be disappointed here!

Needs major repair

The cabin was clean and spacious but needs TLC. Most critical is the decks that are literally rotting away. Lots of nails and large splinters all over. Several posts were loose as well. We had children there and were concerned anytime they walked outside. The BBQ bottom was falling off and the propane tanks had rust all over them. We would not stay again.
