Welcome to our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom vacation rental in Millbay. This serene space captures the true essence of a beach house complete with the ocean view and offers an authentic experience for anyone looking to experience the charm of Millbay. We are minutes away from Millbay Village where you can find groceries, dining, local shops, coffee shops, Brentwood Collage and more. Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, this is the perfect getaway for you.

Huckleberry Guest Retreat is the spacious top level of an ocean view home in Millbay. The newly updated space has a queen bed in the primary bedroom with a full ensuit bathroom and closet space. The second bedroom is also very spacious with a queen bed and closet space. The main bathroom is a full bathroom with bright natural lighting. The main living space is very open with ample seating to enjoy each other's company, watch a movie on the tv or brush up on your piano skills. Just off of the living room you will find the dining table for 4 and the entrance to the large patio and of course the ocean view!

The kitchen is fully loaded with a stovetop and oven, dishwasher, all cooking utensils, dishes and pantry essentials. Just behind the kitchen you will find the washer and dryer and small dedicated workspace.
Guests are welcome to use the entire top floor of the home and the large deck. Guests are also welcome to use the backyard space but please note that it is shared with the family. Please note that the fireplace is not to be used as it is not serviced regularly and firewood will not be provided. A heatpump is provided for heating during the cooler months

Quiet area, a little hard to find without a house number but we knew it had to be one of three, so overcame that. However it might have been different if it was a late arrival. Very nice location with essential shopping a couple of minutes away and gas stations (2) cheaper than Victoria fractionally further.VI is a big island and Mill Bay makes a good location to explore the south, but also to explore the centre. But trips to and north of Tofino are a stretch. We felt that Mill Bay gave good access to Victoria and enough to keep us busy for our stay.Space wise, light, bright, airy and the photo does it justice. My wife enjoyed the piano (and we enjoyed her playing it).The property is fairly well equipped and 3 is an ideal number. Plenty of room but you start running out of things like wine glasses with 4! Plenty of space for parking and easy access and entry (do the right thing and pull in to avoid obstructing access for the neighbouring property). Getting to know how some things work in the kitchen took a bit of trial and error.Very happy with our stay, the property, the location and the island.

Great location for Mill Bay, Cowichan Valley, Cobble Hill etc. Easy access with great communication. House is nice with all the amenities you would need. Nice view and plenty of bright space for 4 adults. There were a few minor things but the owner was very responsive and dealt with them. Would return.

We stayed 4 nights exploring the area & Victoria. The beach home is lovely & bright. A very relaxing spot to come back to after taking in the sites in Victoria & all the pretty surrounding areas. Zoe was great to communicate. The back deck & bbq was also nice to sit & relax. We hope to come back soon.

Great host and property

The property was beautiful and home was very clean. It was an extra perk having a pack and play and high chair provided by the host. Would absolutely stay here again. The host was very friendly and quick to respond to messages. Check in was simple and check out instructions quick and easy.

Wonderful family getaway!

We stayed for 4 nights during spring break with our 2 teenage children. It was amazing! The location is perfect for day trips to the Malahat Skywalk, Salt Spring island, Rathtrevor Beach and Goats on the Roof market. The house is clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We would absolutely stay here again!

Fantastic spot

This house is in the perfect location to explore the Cowichan Bay Area. It is located in picturesque Mill Bay. Close to grocery stores, pharmacies ,liquor stores, coffee shops, wineries, and restaurants. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen has all the utensils and appliances you would need to make your own food but there not any condiments, spices etc. The bathrooms are clean with soap at the sink. Found a bottle of shampoo under sink but there was no soap for shower(tub showers). I brought my own so wasn’t an issue. Laundry room had all you would need if a load needed washing. Living room was comfortable with 2 sofas and large TV above fireplace. Owner left helpful notes at the entrance for things to do, places to eat, how to log in to WiFi etc. We loved our stay here! Thank you!

The accommodation was in a nice area with near by access to a walk on the beach. A good place to stay if you have a car and want to do day trips. Very comfortable place to be if you are looking to unwind. 90 year old in our party had an easy time of getting around. Owners didn't try to pay off all of their mortgage with our rental fee - we really appreciated that! It was a five star holiday for our family.

We completely enjoyed our stay in lovely Mill Bay. It was about 40 minutes outside Victoria, but we enjoyed the drive to and from. You won’t regret staying at this property, it has everything you need. Thank you Zoe!

Quiet, Clean, and Serene

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The property was modern, quiet, and very clean. The lack of shutters and curtains, make the place very bright. You can see the sun rise from the balcony. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook a simple meal… salt/pepper/oil, pots/pans, utensils, as well as a mini crockpot. There is a outdoor bbq grill, but we didn’t use it. An extra roll of paper towel and a few more coffee creamers would have been nice, since we were staying 2 nights, but it was not a deal breaker.
