Directly across from Powell Beach, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom. Luxury Carriage Home.

Built new in 2016, our home is a 30 second walk to the beach. Our detached carriage house features primary bedroom with King bed & 5pc semi-ensuite. Second bedroom (bunkhouse) sleeps FIVE with ensuite. Private patio, perfect for lingering summer evenings to enjoy local wines & fine foods. A very short stroll to the Beach, tennis courts, children's playground & safe biking for the littles. Park your boat safely onsite, a boat launch is just down the block.
Here, you can enjoy warm summer evening conversations on the patio after a day at one of the beaches. Staying a few steps from this family oriented beach is amazing, the locals know. Sunrise paddleboarding is incredibly uplifting, as are late evening swims and beach walks anytime. Biking is easy here, the routes can take you along the water, stopping at 7 different beaches. A more challenging route is the Gran Fondo along orchards, vineyards & farms. Of course there are golf courses, our favorite is to enjoy an evening at the 9 hole executive Sumac Ridge wrapped up with a burger and beer.
Summerland is known for its "secrets & surprises". Did you know that Summerland has more beaches than it does hotels & motels combined? That's why our town stays quiet for traffic and crowds. Lots of fun enjoying the wineries of Bottleneck Drive or, again, if you want some crowds, we enjoy the Naramata Bench and Golden Mile areas of Oliver.
A morning run can take you along the water for over 7 kilometers return. A morning walk along the creek to Sunoka Beach for a cool dip is wonderful, and a walk up to the gardens of the Pacific Agri Food complex above Sunoka offers incredible views and from here, you can gaze down into the Trout Creek Canyon with its incredible Trestle. At some point you WILL be able to very faintly hear the distant Steam Train whistle passing over that trestle, it is a beautiful sound. You can readily bike to the trestle from here, or take the family to enjoy an ice cream cone at Summerland Sweets, by the trestle. Another family favorite.

We had a lovely stay at Patrick & Arlene’s carriage house. More spacious than the photos suggest, the accommodation is of great quality, clean and worked really well for our family of two adults, two teens. Communication was great and many thoughtful, above and beyond touches which were much appreciated. You can see the lake from the kitchen window and it was a 45 min drive to Apex Mountain for downhill and can highly recommend the 1hr drive to Nickel Plate Nordic Centre. We would definitely return to stay again and would recommend the accommodation to others.

Clean and well laid out carriage house. kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. Quiet neighbour hood was perfect for the kids to ride bikes and go to the beach. Highly recommend, will return if works out in future.

The moment we stepped on the property, we knew it was the perfect place. You could see the lake ,park your car in a secure area and walk into a beautifully clean home. The supplies were well thought out. The air-conditioning was fabulous. Extremely quiet location, location, location, location very comfortable for a couple in their 60s and 70s. so central to everything we pedal our bikes and paddle our kayaks right from the carriage house summerland was only a few minutes drive away love it and would love to stay again. our hosts were respectful of our privacy yet there if you need them. thank you very much Rick and Michelle.

Great Home Base!

Comfortable place to sleep and make a family meal. Comfortable beds and very well equipped kitchen. Close to swimming and activities.

The house is recently renovated, clean, bright and spacious! It has everything to enjoy vacation, the kitchen is packed with hardware and appliances, the beds are comfortable, all rooms have air conditioners, there is a nice outside dining area. Location cannot be better, it’s just near the beach, which is very convenient for a family with kids. The hosts, Patrick and Arlene, are very helpful and responsive. We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely come again.

Superb Summerland

Great space and location. Incredibly clean and well furnished. Bright and open but very quiet. The patio space is excellent.. Great bathrooms. Close to the beach and just minutes from both Summerland and Penticton. Only downside was the non-functioning wifi.

Beautiful place!

This was an amazing rental property!! Beautiful and clean and so well stocked. We were staying because our place was being renovated, but as a holiday spot this would be fantastic. It is so close to the lake and there is such a nice entertaining area in the yard. Check in was easy and our hosts were great. You should book early for this one!

Fabulous stay - high quality and great location

We had a great stay at Patrick and Arlene's cabin. The facilities are even better than the pictures show. Everything has been built and designed very well, with a very high quality components used throughout, which really shows. We spent almost two weeks in the Canadian Rockies, and this few days in Summerland was easily the nicest accommodation we rented. Great location close to a quiet beach on the lake, and park for kids. Lovely quiet neighbourhood. Absolutely nothing not to like!

Perfect family get away spot

The location was a very short walk to the beach, very quiet area in terms of traffic and even the beach wasn’t too busy even on the weekends. The house had everything you needed and a nice patio/backyard area. 10/10 would stay again.

Patrick & Arlene were wonderful, gracious hosts and their carriage home was exactly as described. The home was very spacious for our family of 4, clean, comfortable and welcoming. We had a lovely vacation and are looking forward to returning to this little slice of heaven one day soon.

Perfect spot by the lake

Patrick & Arlene are the loveliest hosts and we got to stop by and chat with them a couple of times during our visit. Everything was set up perfectly and the place unbelievably well furnished and stocked. The kitchen has everything you could need, there's a big outdoor space with patio furniture and a BBQ attached to a gas mainline, and you're quite literally a short walk across a small park to get to the lake. I stayed with three other friends and we were so comfortable – we'll definitely be back! Everything was easy breezy. Thanks again for such a great visit!
