We enjoyed staying at this property for a week in August. We were able to bring our dog and our fishing boat. Having a private dock was very convenient and the fish were biting all week! The cabin is cute and in a good location. There was plenty of room in the cabin and the deck and grill were nice amenities to have.

A nice getaway spot

Communication with Leola was easy and fast. The cabin was very comfy. It was definitely a nice and relaxing spot. I'd definitely come back again.

Wonderful lake vacation

We had a very nice time on Sullivan Lake. The cabin was comfortable, the location was perfect. We kayaked and fished from the dock daily. We enjoyed the wildlife: loon family, eagle and more.

Truly magical. Sullivan lake is such a deep and clean lake, it is hard to beat in general. The cabin itself was very private. We loved morning coffee on the patio and the huge screened in porch was fabulous when it was raining or the mosquitoes were out. The bedrooms were large and the kitchen had a ton of space and was stocked with anything you would use to cook. It is a cabin and has some rustic-ness but the photos were accurate. Communication was phenomenal and very quick to respond. Highly recommend.

Cute and well appointed cabin

We loved our stay, the cabin was clean and well kept, a quintessential, vintage, up north Minnesota cabin. We didn’t spend much time there, mostly just to sleep, but found it comfortable and well stocked with just about anything you could possibly need. The view from the deck and porch is so lovely as well. Would recommend.

needs some cleaning

The lake was beautiful and the outside of house was wonderful. The deck and 3 seasoned porch were very nice. I did have some concerns. In the cupboards and drawers of the kitchen there was mouse droppings. I cleaned the drawers where the utensils were and the other items we were using and sanitized the stuff we were using to eat off of. I understand that cabins like this can have mouse problems but I personally don't want to eat off of plates that mice have ran across. I also had a hard time trying to figure out how to heat the cabin. They did have some heat and cooling in the windows of the bedrooms but the electric base board in the main parts of the cabin did not work. They did have some electric heaters but they did not give off much heat so when we got up in the morning the cabin was the same temperature as the outside. I never saw droppings on the counters once we got there nor did I see mice but there is a real possibility that there is a nest somewhere.

From the owner: Hi Barb, we are happy that you enjoyed the beautiful lake and cabin, and hope you were able to enjoy your visit despite the cooler weekend weather. - We want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, and we take the cleanliness of our properties very seriously. Our cleaner does a stellar job as you can see by the wonderful past reviews we have received. However, we have since re-cleaned the cabin and re-cleaned the kitchen cabinets, the drawers, the dishes, and the utensils to be sure everything is fresh and guest-ready - The cabin is seasonal and we do not have central heat, nor is it in the listing. We do provide space heaters for the bedrooms, and there is a fireplace to heat the main room and kitchen areas. We experienced unusually cold temperatures during your visit. - We wish you had reached out during your stay, as we would’ve gladly sent someone over to assist right away. - We are very proactive and treat for pests so that they do not become an issue.We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
