Our stay at the portofino was wonderful. Everything was very clean. Mattresses are not the most comfortable but definitely not the worst. Would definitely stay here again!

Best getaway!

We celebrated our anniversary recently and rented this condo-It was perfect!! The modern design/decor, the view, the cleanliness, and the amenities were all top notch. We will definitely try to rent this condo again, thank you for sharing it with us!

Portofino Vacation

This Penthouse was awesome. Came here 18 years ago. It was awesome to get my own place this time with my own family! 5 Stars all around.

There were some minor problems with the property. The master shower didn’t work the first few days until we called and had it repaired; the other bathroom drain was clogged and drained very slow- these were repaired on Tuesday (after being there a few days and not being able to take baths anymore) the toaster didn’t work, the sink faucet has a water leak so this was also kinda a pain because we got water on us everytime we did dishes. The dryer also didn’t work well and would take about 2.5 hours to dry our towels. The floors also turned our feet black from walking barefoot in the condo. The resort is beautiful! The decor and furniture was also beautiful and the view was priceless. Overall I would for sure come back just some minor things that because hassles throughout the week but overall still satisfied.

Thank you for the review. We're glad Portofino Island Resort Penthouse 3-2102, the decor, furniture, and the view met your expectations and that you would consider returning. I apologize for the inconveniences you experienced. We were glad to get the master shower and the slow drain repaired on Tuesday after you reported them, and we regret the delay in resolving those items. We’ve scheduled maintenance to inspect and repair the leaking sink faucet and the dryer (possible replacement if needed), and housekeeping has been asked to replace the toaster and perform a deep clean of the floors. We will also reinforce our pre-arrival checklists and on-site response procedures so issues are addressed more quickly in the future. We appreciate the feedback and hope to host you again. An overall nice stay

Portofino is our favorite vacation spot! The amenities are amazing! The unit we usually stay in (which is 100% perfection) was not available, which is how we ended up selecting this one. Overall, we were happy with the unit. Its view is unbeatable. The living room and deck furniture were very comfortable. It was clean. It’s quiet. The management company was very quick to respond and fix issues that arose. The beds weren’t great. The sheets felt like tissue paper. The towels were very thin. I love to cook so the kitchen was lacking a lot in my opinion. When we vacation I want the unit to feel like home and not like we’re missing things. Overall it was a nice stay, but I wouldn’t choose this unit again because of the items above. I do think a large majority of people would be happy with it though.

Checking in at 9:15pm was a nightmare at this resort. I was told someone else was in my unit and that I could rent another room and fight to get my money back on the room I had already paid for! Apparently property management companies had changed hands and no one was notified of the changes so I was told “Sorry.” Mind you, I had rented the room only 2 days ago. Then receptionist tells me there is actually no one in my unit after doing some investigating. Then I get told the amenities form was not accessible and I had to sign this before they could have me gain access to my room. I asked if I could just sign it the next day and she said No that isn’t an option. By now I’m ready to scream and an hour later, I asked if the owner could be called to gain access. By the grace of God this nice lady answered and authorized the entry. Then I have to pay check in fees and amenity fees that were not disclosed in the ad. So now I’m really upset! Now for the good part. This unit is sweet and has incredible views. Had everything we needed in it. Master bed could be replaced if I’m being honest but all in all I would stay in this particular unit again, but after all the chaos at the desk I think I’ll just go elsewhere next time. Thanks again to the owner for letting us inyou literally saved us!
