Elk Island Getaway! Rustic Cabin. Where peace and nature awaits you!

12 X24ft Primitive, rustic Cabin with an amazing view of the pond and all the beautiful birds. The sky is amazing, sit on the porch and watch the fish jump and birds soar by. This a place to get back to the basics and relax.

Even though this cabin is pretty private it is located on a campsite in our private campground, with a shared porta potty.

It has no electricity or running water (water jug and manual pump)- rustic living! Its the perfect place to relax, decompress and spend quality time with a loved one, away from modern day distractions.

Keep in mind to bring along your linens and camping gear.
We supply 5 gallon jug of water and manual pump, frying pan, spatula, kettle, coffee press, BBQ, BBQ utensils, and propane.

We offer an outdoors picnic table and firepit so our guest can enjoy a campfire with smores.

We have a propane indoor vented heater as our heat supply. but NO electricity.

STARS!! This is the perfect location for star gazing and even catching the northern lights and a meteor shower. Bring along your star chart or download your star guide app to find constellations, planets, satellites and more.

We have trails you can walk on our 40 acres of land.

We are 8mins(10.5km) away from the entrance of Elk Island Park and the Ukrainian Village for nature and cultural explorers. Elk Island is a refuge for bison, elk, and more than 250 bird species. It's a great place to do some kayaking or to go for a hike or have a relaxing picnic.

The cabin is located on a small campsite (hipcamp) we run on our back 40 acres.
We cant wait to host you!!

The cabin is the perfect getaway from the city, never want to leave! Everything has been well thought out from the mowed grounds, fresh eggs, easy to use generator and the littletouches like hot chocolate, games to play and candles - it was the perfect uncamping experience for us who like a comfortable mattress!

5/5 – A Peaceful Rustic Getaway!My partner and I spent three nights in the rustic cabin and overall had a wonderful stay! The property is absolutely beautiful—well maintained, peaceful, and full of charm. The cabin itself was spotless and cozy, with a gorgeous view of the pond. We really appreciated the quiet, especially on our first night when we had the whole place to ourselves—it was the perfect chance to unplug and unwind.We loved walking the trails and taking in the sounds of nature. The provided amenities like the firepit, picnic table, and even the generator rental made our stay comfortable while still feeling like a true getaway. Also, for anyone wondering—the shared porta potty was extremely clean and surprisingly fresh, which was a big bonus!The only small downside was that on our last night, someone staying on the private property owned by the hosts was playing loud music and partying for most of the day, which carried clearly to the cabin and disrupted the peaceful atmosphere a bit. Still, this was a minor issue in what was otherwise a lovely and memorable experience.We would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a rustic, nature-filled escape from the noise of everyday life.

We have a 40 acre property with a small private campground on it. This year we decided to add a cabin to one of our sites. You can see the sites and cabin on hipcamp. We have planted almost every tree on this property as it use to be a cattle farm. We decided to share our little piece of heaven with everyone else.
