Thank you for your feedback and for allowing us the opportunity to address your concerns. I am sorry to hear you had concerns about your stay, but I must address some inaccuracies in your review. We take great pride in maintaining high standards at our vacation rental, and we work hard to ensure our guests have a positive experience as noted by over 50 five-star reviews left on various social media platforms. I’ve reviewed our records and spoken with our cleaning and maintenance teams, and their reports do not align with the issues you've mentioned. I’m truly sorry to hear about your experience with the pillows during your stay. We take cleanliness very seriously. Upon further investigation, it became evident that the pillows in question did not belong in the Sand Dollar F10 condo. All of the remaining 12 pillows that were in the condo for your use are labeled with bold black Sharpie marker F10. Additionally, all remaining 12 pillows are in the highest quality zippered pillow protectors (to protect against all contaminants as well as bed bugs, dust mites and other undesirables). I am confident that you found this all to be true when you investigated for yourself the quality of the pillows. It is not uncommon for guests to travel with their own pillows from home. In this instance, it is obvious a previous guest left behind their pillows. Regrettably, it was overlooked by housekeeping and not identified as not belonging to the condo’s large rotation of bed pillows. For that, I am sorry. Thank you for your feedback regarding the air conditioning during your stay. I’m sorry to hear that you found it wasn’t cold enough, and I understand how important a comfortable temperature is for an enjoyable stay. We strive to provide a pleasant environment for all our guests, and I regret that we didn’t meet your expectations in this instance. Upon reviewing the air conditioning system with the leading local service company (Taverez) I want to assure you that it is functioning optimally and does not need any necessary adjustments or repairs. As you stated you have traveled to Bonaire many times. That said you should have been aware that air conditioning on Bonaire is not central air conditioning like in the United States. Your stay was during the hottest months of the year. Taverez and my Property Manager both explained that in a large, two-story space with vaulted ceilings, the air conditioning system can cool the area but cannot function as central air. It’s challenging to fully cool the two-story condo because the cool air tends to rise through the stairwell. To help with this issue, we provided several fans to improve air circulation. You reported to the Property Manager that the air conditioning in the bedrooms was cold and adequate. Those spaces are much smaller and confined making a split air conditioning work much more effectively. Additionally, all three air conditioning units are maintained (filters cleaned, gases checked for proper levels, hoses inspected etc.) every six months. The last service was completed on all three units in June 2024 (a few weeks before your arrival). I understand that you found the living room furniture to be dated. I want to point out that the furniture was shown in the photos you viewed before booking, and you mentioned multiple times how excited you were to stay in F10. With the exception of the end table and sofa base (sofa cushions were replaced) all furnishings are new and/or updated. You also confirmed with my Property Manager that the photos accurately represent the condo and its contents. On Bonaire, where space for trash is limited, it's crucial to be environmentally conscious. Instead of replacing furnishings, it's better to update and maintain them. Once again as a return visitor I would think you should be hyper aware of this. I'm unsure where the disconnect might be. I understand that it must have been frustrating to have been without internet access. However, I believe it’s unfair to be dissatisfied with the Wi-Fi issue when you chose to wait before informing me. I was notified that the issue was due to a plug not being connected, which is something that could have been resolved quickly. If you had contacted the property manager sooner, we could have addressed the problem right away. Instead, you chose to wait several days and reached out to the Property Manager, even though you were asked multiple times in the paperwork and signage around the condo to contact me directly. Again I’m sorry to hear that your stay didn’t fully meet your expectations, despite the partial refund we provided for the air conditioning. Based on your feedback, it sounds like a full-service hotel might better suit your needs in the future. They offer amenities and services that might align more closely with what you’re looking for.
