It truly is a gem, & we appreciate your comment on it being super clean, safe & offering spectacular views! I just stayed there for 2 weeks prior to you & enjoyed it immensely. We do outline in our Arrival Package that once you turn onto our street there may be a small barricade across; you can easily move it aside since you are a guest staying on the street. The reason it is there as you mentioned is due to the fact that you have to cross lively 5th Avenue which is a pedestrian only walkway so they don't want outside traffic going down there unless you are staying there or have business there. It is an easy process to get to other than the barricade. There are no other pedestrian only avenues other than 5th Avenue which is a landmark spot in its own right! So glad it worked out for you otherwise! We're so happy that you felt our staff were super pleasant & accommodating but most of all that you would recommend a stay to other guests. Thank you Kevin for the review! We do have an amazing staff & condo! As stated in our listing, we are next to a beach restaurant that plays music. The reality is that Playa del Carmen is a very lively fun town. Even if you stay off the beach you'll hear noise or music. At least here you have amazing ocean views in a beautiful oceanfront condo! I was told there was an approved wedding next door at INTI therefore the extra music on the weekend. As for the rooftop, there are of course sides built to protect guests from falling over; it's not glass surrounding the rooftop as per the photos, so of course if you're sitting you don't see the views. But they are there as well as on the large balcony! As for the loungers, I wasn't aware that they are no longer there. I checked with our manager & due to recent damange (very popular condo) they are being replaced. I did send you an email to check in on you & I didn't get any reply from you about the loungers missing nor did our manager, but my apologies of course for that. I always tell our guests to reach out to us if there's any issues so we can try to resolve them! I am glad overall that your stay was great. We do offer an amazing condo with hands on staff in the best complex on the beach that has beach service, no boats tied up in front & the beach isn't washed away. A lot of perks! The condo is well outfitted & as you say the ocean views are amazing. The rooftop is one of our guests favorite spots to hang out especially with a large group! It's so rare for us to not receive a positive review. :( We have 8 VRBO listings & receive fantastic reviews across the board & are awarded Premier Host year after year! We're truly sorry it wasn't the stay you anticipated. To be fair, we do note under Things We Can't Control in our listing that music is played daily into the evening from the adjacent beach club. (Very few hosts mention this in their listings; we aren't those people.) And you didn't mention any concerns prior to the stay or to our condo manager during your stay. :( The beach clubs stay within the hours they're allowed to play the music which we have no control over. I rent this condo myself for my family & we've never have any issues like you did. I guess we all have have different sensitivities to music & sound. (I'm staying in this condo next month & will note the music during our stay.) Most of our guests feel the pros of a stay at this complex far outweigh any cons. Frankly we find it hard to stay anyone else as we love it so much there! We appreciate that you pointed out the many things you did like such as 'the condo is nice & the staff are very helpful & friendly" & the condo is nicely equipped. We take great pride in our condos & our staff who've been with us a long time. And as you say the pool & views are really nice & the condo is close to both shopping & restaurants. (Truly is mere steps to 5th Avenue!) Happy to hear our drivers who I arranged for your airport transfer & tours were wonderful! We like to provide whatever services our guests need! We're sorry you found the mattress in the guest room hard. Mattresses can be subjective & personal. (My spouse & I have a difficult time agreeing on mattress choices!) The owner does routinely upgrades the mattresses & linens. Despite your disappointing review, we truly take every opportunity to rectify the issues that are within our control. We hope that anyone who reads this review takes the time to look at the outstanding reviews for all our VRBO listings to see that we truly offer memorable stays! This complex is one of the best on the beach due to our location, beach service, amenities & the fact we don't have boats tied up in front obstructing swimming like other complexes on the beach. Thank you for your review! So glad you enjoyed your stay. We just recently got the seaweed influx and hope it disappears as quickly as it arrived and I just got word that it has started to recede! Most of the time our beaches are beautiful and Playa is a great town for vacationing! Hopefully your next visit will be PERFECT!
