Summary:
Located outside of the hustle and bustle of Whitby, Robins Den is a quaint, dog friendly holiday home which sleeps four guests. Just a short 5-minute drive from the town centre, you’ll be able to enjoy the bright lights of Whitby easily during your stay. The perfect retreat for couples or families, Robins Den has an open plan kitchen, living and dining area, two bedrooms, a family bathroom and a yard area outside.
The Space:
Robins Den has a light and homely feel throughout. On the ground floor, you’re welcomed into an open plan kitchen, living and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances so you can make the most of your self-catering stay in Whitby. There is also a breakfast bar with stools and a cosy dining area where you can enjoy a morning coffee or a home cooked meal. A lovely spot to retreat to, the living area includes two comfy sofas and a flat screen TV.
Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll find two bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom features a comfy double bed and a sloped ceiling with a skylight window. Ideal for little ones, the second bedroom is a twin. Both rooms have premium bedding and crisp bed linens to ensure you have the best night sleep possible.
The family bathroom has a shower in shower, WC and basin.
There is a small, enclosed yard area at the front of the property with a table and seating.
Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
There is free on site parking for one vehicle. Additional parking may be available on street near the grass but this is on a first come, first served basis.
The Neighborhood:
Set on the West side of Whitby outside of the hustle and bustle, Robins Den provides the best of both worlds. Just a short 5-minute drive will bring you to the town centre where you can explore cosy pubs, fun arcades and delicious restaurants. Take a stroll along the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff beach and try some local fish and chips.
Over the bridge, you’ll find yourself on the East bank which is full of narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.
Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
Getting Around:
Whitby train station is just a short 5-minute drive away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
