The apartment was spacious with lots of natural light and a large outdoor patio with a traditional portuguese BBQ. It had everything we needed, a full kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine, lots of dishes, pans, cutlery if you wanted to prepare a meal. It was very close to the beautiful beach that extended for km's in both directions and a boardwalk through the dunes that went all the way to Manta Rota, great for a walk or bike ride. Altura is very quiet in April and all of the restaurants are not open, however Tavira, Monte Gordo and Santo Antonio are a short bus, train, or Uber ride away for more choices and nightlife ( we rode our bikes to Monte Gordo and Santo Antonio) All in all a thoroughly relaxing holiday in a place that quickly felt like home.
