Hallo! Welkom in Shell Cottage in prachtige Salvo op Hatteras Island. Bedankt voor je interesse. Wij bevinden zich op een rustige straat en op slechts 390 meter van de toegang tot het strand en op een paar minuten rijden naar het strand voor daggebruik aan de geluidszijde. Traditionele strandkast bungalow. Kom geniet van een gezellige en comfortabele vakantie! Deze klassieke strand bungalow is schoon, fris en comfortabel. Geweldig uitje voor een paar of een klein gezin, kite boarder en surfers. Geniet van een geweldige ontspannende tijd op ons prachtige strand, nooit druk met zijn gouden zand. Geniet van een geweldige dag surfen vissen of zonnebaden en kom 's nachts uit met je zaklampen en ga op zoek naar Ghost Crab Jumping. De wegen zijn stil en veilig om te fietsen of te fietsen naar het dagpark. Kom weg van de drukte van het leven. Ontspan op het dek 's nachts en bekijk de lucht vol sterren, zo dichtbij voelt u dat u ze kunt aanraken, of in de veranda, terwijl u geniet van uw barbecue uit de meegeleverde houtskoolgrill. Zwem, vis, surf of kiteboard, windsurf, kajak of paddleboard op de geluidszijde. Salvo daggebruik park is perfect voor een gezin met kleintjes waar het water is vlak en warm. Spoel in de buitendouche af! Winkel op loopafstand. Veel plaatsen om fietsen, planken, kajaks te huren, vistuig, vlakbij. Of u nu op zoek bent naar avontuur of gewoon op het strand wilt relaxen, werp uw zorgen opzij en kom genieten van een eenvoudige, leuke en ontspannende vakantie.

(Colony Dr. is een zeer rustige strandweg, geen verkeer behalve voor inwoners die wonen of op vakantie zijn in Hatteras Colony). De frequente bezoeken van de ijswagen zijn een pluspunt!

Everything we needed for a nice stay. Only complaint i have is the air conditioner wasn't working. Got very hot in house even with windows open. The owner did let us know it was out. We made it through it and made the most out of it. I would stay again cause we loved the quiet location.

A quiet oasis

We loved our time at the cozy cabin in Salvo. The host was informative and friendly answering all our questions before hand. The place was just as it was pictured and close to the beach. It was the perfect getaway for my family on our Spring Break! We can’t wait to come back to the Outer Banks!

The place is very cute and charming and great for a small family, however there was a strong smell of mildew in the kitchen for the duration of our trip and the charcoal was not usable given that there was a lot of rust on the grill. Overall I would recommend the place except for people with lung conditions and I would recommend that you do not plan on using the charcoal. The place would greatly benefit from a BBQ.

Lovely little cottage that is clean and well cared for. If you don’t need all the beeps and whistles of the large houses, this is the place for you. It has a full size stove, refrigerator, and stacking washer-dryer. Easy to do our dishes by hand as there is no dishwasher . Many nice touches. The screened in porch is a great place to read or chat. Was especially nice when the breezes came through. The outdoor shower was great and has plenty of pressure. The owner is quick to respond to messages.

Just as advertised!

Everything was just as advertised. The property was very clean, in a quiet neighborhood and a very short walk to the beach. If we are in the area again, we will see if the property is available .

A wonderful little cottage right by the beach! Check in is easy, the place was nice and clean, and there were little thoightful quirks that really made this place feel welcoming for us and our dog! There were beach chairs, extra dog bowls, even a doggy first aid kit in the bathroom! The ac unit broke down on us the first night but Traci was so kind and responsive. The late summer breeze kept the place just cool enough. Getting to the beach is super easy, its barely a block away. We went early in the day when it wasnt too busy. Expect the beach to pick up around 11am or so. But even so, there is soooo much beach, its easy to find a spot for you and your family. We loved the covered porch it was wonderful to sit out with our dog and enjoy the beach breeze. Overally great place to stay. I'd say best for a couple and their dog, or parents with 1-2 younger children and their dog.

Perfect place for a relaxing stay at the beach. Private, clean, close to the beach, and the perfect size for us as a couple. The location is wonderful, far from the crowds but close enough to stores, restaurants, and obx attractions. We loved it!

Great week.

We had a great time. The place was as advertised, a little smaller than I originally imagined but it does look like the pictures. Everything was clean. The only issue I could anticipate would be having to sleep with the doors open. As the AC does not have an access vent in the bedrooms or bathroom. If any of the doors are closed it immediately starts to get stuffy. Luckily it was just me and my wife so we did not mind leaving doors open, as we didn't have guest. So leaving doors open while showering or sleeping was not an issue. I would not recommend this place to peole who would need to keep doors closed while sleeping. It is perfect for a couple or small family.

Great quiet place to stay

This little cottage was a great place to stay. Well equipped to eat at home and not far from restaurants and stores. The owner was great at communicating and went above and beyond when we needed to adjust our stay. I highly recommend this place
