Strong smell of damp & mould - blood on sheets - left after one night
Although property owner overall helpful they don't answer their phone but do call you back. Except 5 days after leaving we are still awaiting return of a substantial security deposit and they are not returning our calls or emails.And they promised to return deposit soon as we left...
Travel Nest - the company we booked through, basically say, it's our problem. They appear to accept no responsibility for what they advertise. Seems that they do no checks on the property to check.
Issues - Overwhelming smell of mould and damp and seemingly bad drains made us feel nauseous, - blood on sheets of 3 beds, so couldn't use bring ourselves to use them - Brown spots on side of toilet roll - Nowhere to hang clothes - Someone else's hair grips on kitchen floor - lino in one place in kitchen = a trip hazzard - person upstairs walked around all night on creaky floorboards - Large used mattress leant against sitting room wall - spiders everywhere in all rooms -could not close a window as open for mains wire; so cold and wet get in - no plug in bathroom basin - Outside front door had rubbish on the floor - Advertised parking outside not available so had to park outside neighbouring property. Apparently that was owned by same person but not good when you first arrive to be uncertain if will get fined/ towed away etc. Good points- Owner was contactable but not once left flat. Large T. V. but not usable as no log in.
