Stayed in Dewentwater Cottage, part of Graythwaite How in Far Sawrey.
Accommodation was slightly smaller than we thought, We had 3 adults though, one with walking issues and it was good for what we needed. Very clean, and tidy, everything worked well in the kitchen. TV was limited, but wifi worked well. Shower was very small (and we are a tad overweight), but water pressure very good and plenty of hot water so again for holiday let you dont need much. Lovely little patio with views as well to Estwaite water. Bedrooms were small again, and beds were a little soft for us with back issues, but nothing wrong with them really.
Wonderful location, quiet with only small country lanes to get there so its a slow drive, was easy to find. But local pub in village, with National Trust Hill Top and B&B/hotels that serve food as well. Short drive to Hawkshead and easy to get to Coniston and Windermere. We went to Grasmere, Hawkshead, steam train and Windermere boat ride, which are easily accessible. Hawkshead has a Coop and so does Coniston, lots of little cafes a short drive out. Joeys Cafe at Claife Viewing station is lovely and friendly. Didnt know it was vegan til we got there, but the Vegan Sausage rolls were surprising nice, even though I really wanted meat!
More importantly, we had 2 dogs, great for them, with patio and a field behind and lots of country lanes for walks (didnt let them off lead though)
