Genesteld in de Poconos, op slechts 4,8 km van afrit 87 van de PA-turnpike, kunt u de stekker uit het stopcontact halen en genieten van de rust en stilte van de natuur, maar toch genieten van alle dichtstbijzijnde attracties! Het huis ligt op slechts enkele minuten van Lake Harmony (Jack Frost / Big Boulder) De gemeenschap heeft veel te bieden voor zomeractiviteiten met directe toegang tot zijn eigen grote prachtige meer Towamensing, dat ook een zwembad en strand heeft!

Thank you for the wonderful time and for sharing you beautiful Chalet with us. My husband and I had a great week away together. The Chalet is so peaceful! We really enjoyed seeing the area, especially the town of Jim Thorpe. I also have to give a shout out to The Flying Spur for the beautiful and relaxing horseback trail ride. Which we topped off with a visit to King Kone for the best ice cream! Your Chalet has a great location for so much to see combined with such a comfortable and relaxing place to "get away from it all"! Thank you again for such an enjoyable experience! Bill & Teri

The house was very welcoming and cozy along with being very clean. The kitchen provided everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. We did not have the opportunity to make use of any outdoor amenities left me the hot tub or grill due to the rainy weather from the nor’easter. Communication with the host was excellent. She answered all our questions quickly. We would recommend renting this chalet. In fact we are considering booking it again in the future

This home was so beautiful and comfortable. We were a group of 3 couples. All 6 of us had a wonderful time. We loved the hot tub, and the game room with pool table, and basketball game too! What a great set up with plenty of room for all of us. Everything from the bedrooms, and kitchen to the bathrooms were clean and welcoming. Very close to the town of Jim Thorpe where we spent all day Sunday. And, we also had wildlife visitors 5 wild turkey’s went strolling through the backyard along with a few white tailed deer. The host Angela is very nice and communication was great. I highly recommend this rental. And I plan on returning in the future. Thank you very much for having us.

This chalet was beautiful, clean and so peacefully quiet. We were refreshed by the environment. The deer were fun to watch walk through the forested areas. Area conveniences were close but far enough to keep our stay location quiet. Worth the trip for us..... all the way from Oklahoma!

This home was clean, cozy and accurate to the photos. The kitchen had everything we needed and the fireplace in the living area was a nice touch. Master bedroom was spacious and private and the game room downstairs was perfect for our group of adults. A couple of things to note - house rules include bringing the trash to a separate location in the community at the end of your stay with a 50 penalty if you leave it in the house. Also bring your own blow dryer and soaps for the shower.

Thank you so much for your review. So happy you enjoyed your stay at the chalet. Trash passes are supplied by the HOA to keep the community clean and safe. In our eight years of renting the place there have been a handful of renters that have not used the passes and left the trash outside upon departure. When it’s time to clean the house and flip it for our next renters, the trash has already been attacked by critters, including bears. It’s a disaster for the person that’s there to clean the inside the house. We had to put something in place to prevent this from happening. Thanks for understanding.

We had a wonderful time at the house and really enjoyed the hot tub, layout and cleanliness of the home. The one thing I recommend is to bring your own soap - shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, dish soap, dishwasher tabs and hand soap. I shouldn't have assumed they'd be there, so we had to go drive 10-15 mins to stock up. All was in working order - hot tub, jetted tub, appliances and fireplace. There is a fire pit there, but renters are not allowed to use it. You may also want to bring more bath towels. I would definitely rent again but will bring more stuff with me.

Thanks for your review! In our welcome guide and on our VRBO page we specify the things we provide which are dish soap, dishwasher detergent and hand soap which were all there for your visit. The dishwasher tabs are in a small basket near the kitchen sink. As far as the other things you mentioned, we have never offered them in our 9 years of renting. When I’m traveling to a house (not a hotel) I don’t expect the hosts to supply body wash and lotion etc. These days everyone has different sensitivities so we figure it’s best to bring your own. Overall, a good trip. The host was actually overseas at the time, so there was a time delay in communication. But she did a great job of following up with us as soon as possible.The house was clean. Loved the vaulted ceiling and the second-floor loft space. It was great for reading! Beds were comfortable. Small yard, but the beach/playground was just a few minutes away. The area is very nice. No safety issues in the neighborhood or the home. Be aware, it is not wheelchair accessible. There are steps up to the deck/porch as well as to the basement and upper floor.We did have several maintenance issues. The dishwasher quit working early in our trip. Then, we found out their maintenance man was on vacation as well. We had 7 people on the trip, so we never book a place without a dishwasher - we don't want to spend our vacation washing dishes. The fact no one was available to repair it was disappointing, to say the least. There are also multiple burned-out lights. I don't remember the exact number, but at least half of the ceiling lights were burned out. So were multiple lights in the kitchen area. Seems like that should have been noticed by someone prior to our arrival.Those things are *not* reasons to stay away. It would have been a no-doubt 5-star location otherwise. We would probably go back there again. It is a great place for a relaxed vacation. As a bonus, we saw a Momma Bear and 3 little cubs on the side of the yard one afternoon. It was so cool!! :-)

This was our second stay, and we've been happy with everything both times. It was warmer this year so we got to spend a day at the lake with the kids, they had a blast. The water is so clear, and the beach was clean and not crowded. We also did some short, kid-friendly hikes in Hickory Run: Boulder Field and Hawk Falls. This is a great place for families.

Fantastic Family Getaway

The Chalet is exactly as advertised and more! The hosts thought of everything a family would need from a fully-stocked kitchen to luxurious towel sets for all guests. The kids enjoyed the games, going to the pool and lake while also exploring other local trails and attractions. Thanks, Chris & Angela, for being so responsive and providing us with a great home away from home!

Piced this place as a home base for my hubby and I. We’ve never been to the area before and this was a perfect location. The house itself is big enough if you have a larger party to not feel cramped. We didn’t use the basement but the pool table and basketball net would be fun for kids and adults. This was more of an excursion weekend so we also didn’t cook so I can’t speak on pots/pans (didn’t even look for them). Fridge was nice and large so you can fill it for a larger party. We did use the hot tub which is a nice addition. If you do use it and like the water hotter than 90, just understand it does take time to heat up. Would return and recommend this place.

Great for Families

Even though we hit a cold week in August, there was plenty to do. Hiking in Hickory Run State Park and a train ride in Jim Thorpe were both hits with the kids. The house was clean and cozy, with everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Lovely Home

the home was comfortable and beautifully decorated, very simple with plenty of room to easily store our belongings. kitchen was fully stocked with coffee maker, microwave and plenty of dinnerware and pots and pans. would stay here again....location is excellent and very peaceful and quiet.

For as long as Ang has known Chris, he always talked about having a mountain house someday. They both grew up skiing and spending winters in the area so it was a no-brainer that Albrightsville was the perfect place to purchase! We hope you enjoy the house as much as we do as we have already created so many happy memories there! We hope you do too!

Wat deze accommodatie uniek maakt

We fell in love with this place the moment it popped up on Zillow back in 2016. We were looking for a 2nd home and this one spoke to us immediately. We love the open floor plan, the natural lighting and just the whole vibe. The basement is a huge bonus as most of the houses in that area do not have one. We love that it has privacy but also close to all the attractions that Albrightsville has to offer!
