We fell in love with this beautifully decorated historic home with gorgeous views, and after our week there we hated to leave, wishing we could have stayed longer to enjoy both the peaceful setting as well as the convenience of an amazingly short drive to Annapolis, Baltimore, and DC. Picture perfect vacation location!

Unbelievable property, great owners and a wonderful experience. Had a beautiful time here at the farm. Really helped my family as we transitioned back to the states from Germany. The whole property has such an amazing vibe to it, brings so much serenity. My kids loved the place, from hanging out with the chickens, to spending time with the kids, to the friendly cats on the property and views of the horses. It’s perfect.Ferris and his wife were very accommodating and even went the extra mile multiple times to make sure my family was taken care of. Couldn’t have been a better stay, on a farm with a house on a hill. I will recommend to my family members when they come in town, but fear they won’t want to leave it.

Peaceful and serene

Our stay at this rental was very peaceful and serene. Location is beautiful and rental was clean. You will not regret your stay at the Abbington.

Clean and very comfortable home. Enjoyed reading about the history of the main part of the house. Beautiful grounds with trees, shrubs, flowers. Birdwatchers paradise. Enjoyed watching the horses in nearby fields.

Exquisite and adorable.

This is an excellent rental. Quaint and yet finely finished. It was exceptionally decorated and kept. I highly recommend this comfortable and fine vacation rental

Must stay here!!!

This was an amazing place to stay!!! We were warmly welcomed as we arrived and the place was clean and ready. The next morning our daughter was able to feed the horses with freshly cut carrots! We were given wonderful recommendations for high tea and places to eat!!! Definitely stay here, because we will be back on our next trip.

Lovely Home

We enjoyed our stay at Abbington very much. We came to visit our daughter who is in the Air Force and currently stationed at Fort Meade. This beautiful home was conveniently located to the Base and BWI airport. Aaron & Angela were attentive and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Staying at Abbington for USNA commissioning week was a great decision for our family. It provided a calmness and the perfect recharge between the week’s events. We enjoyed several lovely meals on the very peaceful front porch with the view of horses and an expanse of God’s beautiful creation. A tremendous thank YOU from the DiPaolo family and blessings to the lovely Buehlars. You made a special week all the more memorable.

Magical Getaway

We do VRBOs often and this was the best place we have ever stayed. The house was established in 1843 and the charm and character were delightful. The house was very clean and nicely furnished. The beds were very comfortable. We spent many hours on the 3 porches. We really enjoyed the country setting and the tons of restaurants and shopping only 2 miles away. We took evening strolls and drank our morning coffee on the huge deck. The owners are amazing people and we enjoyed getting to know them. We are a family of 4 and we stayed 2 weeks. This VRBO was the perfect mix of privacy and making new friends. This place is a must stay.

We didn’t want to leave!

We had the best time at Abbington! The house was pristine when we arrived and so beautifully decorated. The house had everything we needed and so many towels- a real bonus for our crew! The owners and family are so lovely and we enjoyed getting to know them. The property is heavenly! Morning coffee on the front porch was our favorite and our girls loved swinging on the swing, running in the front yard, and spotting the geese and horses. The location was perfect for us and great for kids! Close to stores and restaurants and a shorty trip to DC and Baltimore. We were so sad to leave but look forward to visiting again! Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Sufficient place for short stay

This property was clean and located on a quiet setting. I would recommend this place for no more than a few days. If you plan on utilizing the property, this place is not ideal. The owners reside on the property. We felt restricted to our wing and felt like we were being watched the whole time. Our stay was not relaxing because the owner repeatedly emailed us because we had one person over the maximum persons, which happened to be a child. The owner used such words as ‘violated’ and ‘tracking’.

Fantastic Retreat

We were visiting our son at the Naval Academy. It was about a 25 minute drive in. The home was LOVELY and cozy. The surrounding area of the home was peaceful and beautiful. My favorite was the stock of bathroom towels and wash clothes in case we needed it, which we did. They had the shower stocked with soap, shampoo and conditioner. The beds were comfortable, home was very clean, air conditioner worked great. Kitchen is small, but very useable. We made a full pasta dinner with homemade sauce and made breakfast every day. It was very private and you would never know someone else was on the property. We stayed 4 days and overall, it was fantastic.

Up en downs

Our stay was very interesting. The house was beautiful. The environmetn was green, lots of birds and wide. Gave you een feeling of space. The owners are attent and reacted quickly on a request from us. After a view days we were commanded not to smoke on the entire property. We were unaware this was not allowed, because usually the non smoking policy concerns the inside of the house. The way we were addressed, did not make us happy and we decided to ask for a converation the next day, about the style of conversation. Happely the owner came by himself the next day and we had a good conversation. There was a better understanding after this. The rest of our stay was quiet in harmony and we had a great time with our family and friends. The coffee machine was great. The kitchen was not wel equiped and the stove was not horizontal, so it was a kind of struggle to cook. I used spoons to level the cooking pots. We were happy with the internet, television, washing machine and dryer.

Coby, It was a pleasure to meet you all and talk to you throughout your stay. We're sorry that your experience wasn't the very best. We do advertise the property as a no smoking property and we confirmed that VRBO listed it as such when you booked your stay. After we confirmed that information was accurate for your booking we then contacted you through the VRBO Chat a number of times over the following few days. Due not receiving a response from any of those chats/emails, we then had to speak to you directly. Thank you for understanding the policy when we presented it to you at that time and abiding by the policy thereafter. As you know from our conversation, parts of the home are almost 400 years old. She's a rare gem that we feel obligated to take care of for future generations and for those who visit currently. We just can't allow smoking on the property due to the high risk of fire, our insurance demands, and the sensitivity some of our guests have to smoke. We're sorry that the advertised policy impacted your stay negatively. We enjoyed getting to know you all despite this issue and wish you the best! - The Buehler's

Country stay with suburban convenience

This was such a lovely location where we felt far away in the country rolling hills. Yet just 2 min around the corner was all the convenience of Panera and grocery stores! We loved being so close to our family, and also able to entertain friends on the patio. Also, I was traveling with my older mother and having the bedroom on the first floor was perfect with minimal steps.

Beautiful Views and Gorgeous Surroundings

What an absolutely perfect stay. Situated in the rolling hills of the Maryland countryside, we couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and beautiful place to spend the better part of a week. Aaron and Angela are wonderful hosts and outfitted our beautiful apartment with everything we could possibly need. We'll definitely be back!

Excellent place! Would definitely stay again.

Check-in was easy, just park and enter your code to enter. This place has everything you need and more when staying away from home. Good water pressure, lots of hot water, soft close toilet seats, plenty of towels, extra blankets, bathtub and shower combo, multiple coffee options). We couldn't have asked for a more comfortable stay on our trip. And it's so conveniently located to shops (Target is just a short drive away) and food (so many great places to eat). The house was quiet and watching the horses graze was peaceful. We would definitely stay here again instead of staying in DC.
