Mooie Lakefront vakantiehuis.

Wij zijn gevestigd aan de achterkant van onze baai op het westen voor de beste uitzicht op de prachtige zonsondergangen over de Smokey Mountains. Vijf slaapkamers (drie koninginnen, vier tweelingen) en drie volle baden. Kleuren-tv in den boven en beneden een woonkamer met kabel, videorecorder / DVD. Hart grenen vloeren beneden.

De keuken is volledig ingericht en voorzien van veel bergruimte. Er zijn 2 ijsmakers, één in de koelkast en een in de natte bar. De eettafel biedt plaats aan 8-12 personen. Er is extra eetruimte in de keuken eiland, op een speeltafel, en op de veranda.

We zijn het laatste huis op de weg, waardoor u privacy en een ruime parkeerplaats. Geniet van prachtige uitzichten tijdens de vergadering of een diner op het grote oever van het meer dek. Er is een gas grill voor uw gemak. Drie sets van de glazen deuren open voor het dek van de woonkamer bieden een prachtig uitzicht op het meer en Rumblin 'Bald Mountain uit de beneden woon- en eetkamer.

Het boothuis heeft nog een groot dek, trappen naar beneden naar een waden gebied en stappen tot aan het dak te springen. Kajaks beschikbaar voor huurders gebruik. Onze baai rustig en perfect om te zwemmen of drijven.

De vuurplaats is geweldig voor de herfst / winter of koele zomer nachten. De berg achter de vuurplaats is bebost en aan het eind van de weg, waardoor het huis een eigen gevoel en veel ruimte voor jonge ontdekkers.

Lokale activiteiten zijn onder andere zwemmen, skiën, varen, vissen, de rivier kanoën en slangen, golf, putt putt, tennis, wandelen, wandelen, fietsen, paardrijden, uit eten gaan ... noem maar op!

Communication with the host was great, pre-trip and during our stay. The view of the mountain was fabulous. Even though the lake was still drained 30 feet for hurricane cleanup and recovery, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The open floor plan is nice. Especially with the bedroom level having its own lounging area. The grocery store is only 10 minutes away. Restaurants even closer.

Great stay

Wonderful vacation for an extended family in beautiful lake lure cove, clean water, fish, and much to do for children and adults of all ages. The house was also lovely. Nothing could be better!

Beautiful cove

We had a great stay in Hummingbird Cove. It was beautiful and peaceful and the house was perfect for our group.

Great Vacation on Lake Lure

We loved our stay at this Lake Lure property! It was such a charming home with everything we needed. We loved the privacy of being at the end of the cove. The view of the lake and mountains was wonderful. We had adequate parking and it was great to walk right into the house with no one xtra steps for my elderly mom. Loved our stay!

We loved the house!! Accommodated our family just great! Although we were there during Helene & had to cut our way out, Mrs Martha was the best host! We plan to go back another family vacation to her house once Lake Lure is cleaned & back open!!

Cozy, relaxing, and fun spot for family stay

With this being our second stay at Martha's home, we definitely enjoy it! With plenty of space indoors, on the deck, on the dock, and in the water, our extended family had a great time and felt very much at home. With Verizon service nearly nonexistent and very spotty internet at the house, it was mostly an unplugged week for us which is wonderful for a family vacation.

Perfect Lake Weekend

This house was extremely cozy and offered gorgeous views of the lake! The property provided all the things needed for a lovely weekend in, including plenty of fire wood, a fully equipped kitchen, and several kayaks. While this was our first time at the property, we hope it won't be our last!

Great location!

Great location! We had a group of nine including kids, teenagers and adults. The weather was relatively cool, excellent location by the lake, perfect for parking and a giant fire pit! Lake house was also close to a couple of great hiking trails. Would like to go back when it’s a little bit warmer so that we can enjoy the lake more!

Astonishing views!

Lake Lure is a must in anyone's travel, but the cabin was what gave us the most memories!. Spacious and quaint is the best way to describe. We had 3 families stay and none of us felt crowded or on top of each other. I recommend to anyone looking and would definitely stay again. Thank you to our host for all the memories we made and the extra hospitality we received.

Wonderful!

The house is roomy, clean, well maintained, beautifully furnished and comfortable. There is a great view of the lake and mountains, access to swimming right in the front yard and even a fire pit for s'mores! Our hosts couldn't have been more accomodating and I recommend this vacation home for any family members from infants to senoirs!

Great COVID respite

The location was great with ample cooking utensils and storage. Due to COVID-19, we did not leave the property and were well equipped to stay there. We didn’t need to interact with anyone and we’re pleased with the property and lake.

Lake Lure Family Vacation

Our family had a great time at this property. It’s a nice lake house with a great deck, comfortable living room and well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the kayaks, water slide, fire pit and ice maker! As mentioned in other reviews, the roads leading to the house are winding and narrow but we never had any trouble getting places. Overall a great vacation.

Fun Family Get Away!

Our family had a fun weekend at Lake Lure! The view was beautiful from the house and we all enjoyed kayaking and swimming from the private dock. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. We enjoyed visiting Chimney rock and the town. Not ideal you if you have trouble with steps. It was nice to be able to relax in such a beautiful place.

Third Time

We spent a week at this property for the third time. Need I say more? It is perfect for our family vacation. So much to do and to see. And the house has everything anyone could want. The owners are very accommodating. I highly recommend this rental.

Another great time

This was our second year in a row at this house and again had a great time. The deck and dock are great and that is after all, why we’ve come to Lake Lure. Martha is always prompt and extremely helpful if ever a question arises. I’m sure we’ll be back!

Another wonderful week

My family rented this property in 2018 and we rented it again this summer. We thought it was perfect for us both times. Two remodeled upstairs bathrooms were a nice surprise. Once again we all hated to leave. We will return!

Great stay

We had a wonderful trip the house had plenty of room for all 9 of us. The puzzles toys and board games were a great surprise for the kids. The owner was extremely easy to work with, very responsive to questions. House was well stocked. Wish they hadnt been working on the lake and we could have taken the canoe out or fished, but not the owners fault. We still enjoyed the view and peacefully atmosphere!!

Wonderful home right on the water

We loved this lake house and had a great vacation there. The house was immaculate when we arrived. Every morning we had coffee on the deck overlooking the lake with a beautiful mountain. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. Kayaks, canoe, and lake swimming kept us busy. Short drive to grocery store and hiking. Owner was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend.

Nice house on the water

We really enjoyed our time. The house was clean, had all the pans and utensils needed for cooking, a nice fire pit, and a great view of the water from the back deck. We were there in the early spring, so not many people were staying in the other nearby houses, and it was quiet. We used the two kayaks to get out on the water. A well stocked grocery store is about 15 minutes away.

Fun-filled Restorative Week at the Lake

Our family of 3 generations had a fantastic time staying on Hummingbird Cove, and yes, we even saw many hummingbirds! The house is very comfortable, kitchen is stocked with all of the fishes and utensils we might have needed (and our family loves to cook!). We swam, fished, paddle boarded and kayaked off the dock in the quiet cove every day. We also rented a pontoon boat from the local boating company for a couple of days which was fun and convenient for exploring out further on the lake and swimming in other coves. Views are spectacular from the deck. We hope to return soon!!

Extended family time in paradise

Cannot day enough good things about our stay. House was great for all from grands to babies as was the access to the lake. Home well equipped for cooking. Clean and comfortable and welcoming. Lots of shade from tree canopy. Plenty of comfy outdoor furniture. Kayaks and life preservers available. Grilled out most nights. Fire pit fun for all. Can’t wait for next summer to return! Owners lovely to communicate with.
