2100 vierkante voet van luxe in een blokhut gebouwd in 2016 met gouremt keuken, 2 master suites en een stapelbed kamer voor 4 personen. Er zijn 3 slaapkamers, 3 badkamers, een grote gastronomische keuken met alle voorzieningen, een grote eetkamer met een even grote tafel, een prachtig overdekt buitenterras met comfortabele schommelstoelen, een schommelbank met uitzicht op de bergen en een groot grasveld rondom het huis. Mooi, comfortabel nieuw huis met hoge plafonds, hardhouten vloeren, granieten aanrecht en een geweldig uitzicht. Er is een ligbad, lederen kapiteinsstoelen en een zeer comfortabele bank. Een miljoen dollar thuis met een miljoen dollar uitzicht. Dit is ons huis dat we willen delen met degenen die het waarderen. Behandel het als zodanig.

The house was beautiful and the location was perfect. It was out of town but not too far. We loved having coffee on the porch. We even saw the fox that was pictured in the photos.Katherine was a wonderful host. We would definitely stay here again!!!

The home itself is beautiful, clean, and in a great location. We truly enjoyed the property and its views. We made every effort to be respectful and left the home in excellent condition, including completing several extra cleaning tasks beyond the checkout list.Unfortunately, we never felt completely at ease during our stay. We received multiple messages during our visit, which we would have been fine with, but felt like the property was being closely monitored by neighbors, (including video recording us), which made it difficult to relax. We understand hosts want to protect their property, but the level of oversight detracted from what otherwise could have been an excellent stay.

Thank you for all the extra cleaning you did. I have checked my correspondence with you, and there were only 2 messages informing you of my neighbors complaining that your young adults were trespassing on private property. One of your young adults apparently was trying to ride his dirt bike down a private road to someone's house. Our subdivision is a very quiet private area. I didn't realize that I need to put in my VRBO description that dirt bikes are not allowed at my property. I am not in control of my neighbor's responses to your actions. But I do need to address them. As you say, our home and our views are pretty spectacular.

Wonderful!

This was the perfect location for our family as we hiked during the day and made delicious meals together at night. We enjoyed the expansive view of the Sawtooths as we sat on the porch or inside in the family room. The beds were so comfortable and the log home was so beautiful. We would love to stay again!

If you are lucky enough to book it

What an incredible home and property! This house was the highlight of our families trip to Idaho. The view!!! I’m really not sure how the owners ever leave. The view of the Sawtooth mountains from every window in the house was spectacular. The location is super convenient to hiking, lakes, and all the things to do in Stanley. And the porch was our spot for the evening after a day of exploring. We loved every detail of the hand built cabin and would absolutely love to be invited back.

Lovely log home in a spectacular area

We rented this house near Stanley Lake for a family retreat for about 9 days. It’s on a quiet gravel road just off the highway, and the view is stunning from the living room. The house about 4-5 miles from Stanley and about 4 miles from the lake. Don’t expect wifi or cell service except in town or at the cabin. The mosquitos were fierce but the land was green and beautiful. The house is lovely. I thought the kitchen was the best—the owner has high quality appliances and it’s stocked to the hilt with every cooking and baking item you could need. The house was spotless, beds comfortable and the overall vibe is upscale comfort—a great place to hang out with the family. I highly recommend it!

The house was amazing. It was very clean; the kitchen was well equipped; the views were spectacular; the house was close to the town that offered easy access to hiking, fishing, rafting, lake activities etc. the owners quickly responded to any questions we had. We will definitely return.

Little slice of paradise in the Sawtooths!

The pictures did not do this property justice. The home is located in the heart of the Sawtooth Mountains outside of Stanley, ID. If you’re looking for a spectacular view and a relaxing time, this is the place for you.

Beautiful cabin in the woods!

Our family enjoyed this cabin so much. It was quiet, cool and so relaxing; equipped with everything you need. It was our first time to Stanley and we all enjoyed the cabin time as much or more than all the nearby activities. Red Fish lake was also wonderful and only a very short drive away. We would love to stay here again and again.

Beautiful Cabin

Our family enjoyed our stay at this quaint cabin in Stanley! It feels much bigger than the pictures show. It has an amazing view and a lush green grass yard in both front, side, and back of the house! The only thing we would change is the arrangement of the bedrooms. The children’s bunk beds are the only bedroom on the bottom floor while the master and an additional adult bedroom is on the top floor. For adults who’s find stairs challenging, this arrangement might not fit. Our kids were excited to find two additional twin beds tucked away near the master bedroom! Overall, we had a wonderful time and would rent here again!

We are 70 years young and Katie grew up in Idaho and Tom is a native of California. We have 4 daughters and 9 grandchildren. We love our family get away house in the Sawtooth mountains where Katie spent all her summers as a child.

Waarom de eigenaar deze accommodatie gekozen heeft

We started building our home in 2015. We built it ourselves (we are a retired builder and a retired architectural designer) and we finished it in 2019. It is built with handcrafted 12" logs and has a king log in the center of the house that is approximately 24" wide. The main floor ceiling is white-washed knotty pine and the bedroom and bathroom doors and custom kitchen are all Knotty Alder. We spent many hours making every detail perfect. We are very proud of our beautiful home and hope you will enjoy it too.

Wat deze accommodatie uniek maakt

Our logs are handcrafted, in others words, the bark was removed from each log by hand. There are no vertical seams in our logs. Some of our logs are over 30 ft long. It's truly a unique cabin with porches on 3 sides. It was designed by Katie and built by Tom.
