Ontsnappen uit de drukke zuidkust aan de rustige en ontspannen Crane - weg van alles! Geniet van de prachtige bries van de Atlantische Oceaan, terwijl zittend op uw terras luisteren naar de golven en het kijken naar het adembenemende uitzicht op de turquoise zee!

Kom en verblijf in de bovenste verdieping aan Mermaid Apartments, met uitzicht op de tropische tuinen met kokos en palmbomen. Geniet van de smaakvol ingericht en voorzien van 3 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers eenheid die gratis Wi-Fi heeft en is een 5 minuten lopen naar het beroemde strand Crane. Wij verhuren het appartement als een 1, 2 of 3 slaapkamers voor onze huur te verhogen. Wanneer verhuurd als een 1 of 2 slaapkamers, de andere slaapkamers zijn niet beschikbaar. U vindt de volledige 1. 800 sq. Ft hebben. Bovenste verdieping van het betonnen gebouw aan jezelf.

De woning is volledig omheind en heeft een poort. Gelegen op een rustige weg in woonwijken met luxe herenhuizen aan de overkant. Maar perfect voor uw huwelijksreis, zo rustig en romantisch zeer geschikt voor gezinnen of meerdere paren.

Slaapkamer en badkamer HOOGTEPUNTEN
De ruime 16 'door 14' master bedroom beschikt over een queen size bed, dual side rieten tafels met laden en lampen. Deze hoek slaapkamer is voorzien van een rieten kaptafel en een manshoge spiegel en een ventilator aan het plafond. Alle bedden (master en gast) zijn uitgerust met lakens en spreien. Geniet van het uitzicht op de tuin en de Atlantische Oceaan, evenals de prachtige wind uit drie ramen. De drie vloer tot plafond kasten geven je veel ruimte voor uw kleding en voorzien van lamellen deuren. De vloeren zijn betegeld en hebben kleedjes.

De master bad is voorzien van een grote glazen blok douche en een wastafel met veel kastruimte eronder. U zult genieten van het kruis bries door ramen aan beide zijden. De grote spiegel maakt zich klaar dat veel gemakkelijker. De vloeren zijn betegeld. Dezelfde functies op de tweede badkamer.

De twee 12 'met 14' guest slaapkamers zijn voorzien van queen size bedden met een dubbele kant rieten tafels met laden en 2 lampen. Ze hebben elk drie van vloer tot plafond kasten met slat deuren. Beide slaapkamers hebben twee ramen met een prachtig uitzicht over de oceaan en uitzicht op de weelderige tuinen. Een kaptafel en passpiegel u helpen bij het sneller klaar. Smart granieten aanrecht en tegelvloeren. Volledig uitgerust met alles wat je nodig hebt om te koken tot een storm! De keuken biedt een van de twee ingangen van het appartement.

SALON HOOGTEPUNTEN
De woonkamer biedt een mooie bank die maakt het kijken naar een DVD op de 26 "TV geweldig entertainment. U kunt ook naar de radio of spelen cd's luisteren. De inrichting is een flashback naar de oude dagen van Barbados plantocratie, met mahonie eindigen tafels met 2 lampen en een salontafel. Great accommodation in Barbados!

The 3 bedroom apartment on the top floor is very nice, clean and well appointed. The full service kitchen is an added plus. It was perfect to sleep 6 of our twenty-something kids on a family vacation in Barbados!

Very enjoyable stay at Mermaid Apartments!

I was set to stay at the Mermaid Apartments from 6/7-11/2017. Because of flight delays, I didn't get there until the 8th. I have to say that I wish I could get my day back to have one more day there! The Mermaid Apartments was all that I needed while I was there. My stay was on the full top level. I rented one room, and I had the rest of the apartment to myself. There were no other renters of the other two rooms that were available. Before I got there, I compiled a grocery shopping list and the housekeeper went shopping for me, which saved a ton of time and energy, and I was able to cook breakfast and lunch while I was there. I had everything I needed. ANNNND, NO BUGS!! There is no air conditioning in the apartment, but there are fans. At night, I was able to sleep with the windows up and without getting eaten upper harrassed by bugs. Lynn (I believe is one of the managers) is the sweetest and most helpful person! She made sure I had everything and she came to check on me my first morning there. I went to a wedding at The Crane Resort, and it was a hop, skip, and jump to get there. I walked there during the day in no time; maybe 15-17 min walk?? I didn't walk there in my wedding guest attire, though. It was too hot for that! I could also walk to the private Crane Beach which is less than a 10 minute walk. Beaches are my favorite, and I t was wonderful. Now, there wasn't anything that was a complete turn off, but I will say to be careful if you go out and you leave the windows up while you're gone. I was there during the rainy season, and that rain is unforgiving! I went out for a run in the morning and left the windows up, thinking I would be alright. Well, I got caught in the rain (which felt amazing, lol) but when I came back to the apartment, it had rained all inside! That was my bad, but just a warning to be careful with that, or you'll have a mess on your hands to clean up. I think that's it! It's very spacious, comfortable, and I felt like I was at home. Try it out and see how you like it!

Wonderful views in a tranquil setting !

If you are looking for spacious and comfortable accommodations in a quiet and scenic neighbourhood this is the place for you. We have just returned from a two week stay at this property and enjoyed it very much. It is well equipped and its proximity to the Crane resort is a plus for us for dining on occasion as well as swimming at the beach. We walked or ran in the friendly neighbourhood every day meeting nice folks along the way who shared many things of local interest. The bus stop is on the corner for trips further afield and car rental is available too should you want to tour the island. What a pleasure to be picked up on arrival at the airport and transported to Mermaid apartment where all our groceries were already in the cupboard and the fridge ! The highlight of our stay was two Bajan dinners prepared especially for us by Shelley our housekeeper ! She is a pro! A big thank you to the Mermaid Team who made this all possible.

Loved Mermaid Apartment!!

I travelled to Barbados this January/2016 and had a great experience. Loved the mermaid apartment. Although we did not eat in often, it had everything needed to do so. The only thing missing was a BBQ :) I would definitely stay here again and recommend staying here.

Wondeful stay at Mermaid Apartments at the end of 2015

We had a wonderful stay at Mermaid Apartments at the end of 2015. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed for our week long stay including a laundry machine, all kitchen appliances (dishwasher, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, fridge with ice maker), satellite TV with plenty of channels, wifi internet, phone service, two floor fans, etc. The phone service (see tips below) and internet was reliable and fast enough for normal activity. The location is a two minute drive from Crane Beach, which was our favorite beach on the island. Also, Ginger bay was just a short walk away and was almost always secluded, though we did not venture far into the water there due to the currents. A car is definitely needed in order to explore the island. Bridgetown and Holetown on the West end of the island are about 30-35 minutes away by car and St Lawrence Gap was about 20-25 minutes away. Maggie, the owner, was very helpful and answered all of our questions promptly and in detail. Shelley the housekeeper, was at the apartment when we arrived and showed us around. Lynn, the apartment manager, stopped by to check up on us and gave us many tips on places to visit and eat. She was extremely friendly and helpful and delight to speak with. The only issue we had was the bedrooms got quite hot at night when the windows were down, which we had to do for three nights due to intermittent heavy rains. The winds would make the rain blow into the apartment if the east side windows are kept open. A few tips: - When making local calls on the house phone, be sure not to enter the 246 area code. If you do include this area code, or an international area code, the phone service will disconnect for a few minutes. Also, it seems the internet connection cuts out for a brief moment when phone calls are made. - The apartment has a cooler that can be used. It does not have portable beach chairs/umbrella (these can be rented at the more popular beaches for 15-20 USD per pair) - Make reservations at restaurants ahead of time (especially on weekends and holidays) - Many restaurants had very long (60-90 min) wait times for walk-ins, despite having many tables open (they may have fixed seating times). - If renting a car, rent a gps or bring one and load BajanNav maps onto it. This made driving and navigation significantly easier. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Mermaid apartments and would highly recommend it.

Wonderful apartment in a peaceful area

We had a fantastic two weeks at this beautifully furnished and very spacious apartment. The residential street where it is located is very quiet and the beach is very close by. There is no night life but a couple of restaurants are within walking distance as is the Crane Resort. Everything is supplied including dishwasher and laundry detergent (no food) and the kitchen has all the cooking utensils you could want. A car is not necessary unless you want to go sightseeing, but even then you could take a taxi and have the driver do a tour for you.

Wonder week with family

Spent a week in the Mermaid Apt with my wife and three children. Ages 8,13, 16. Wonderful experience, everything stated by previous reviewers is correct. A beautiful beach is a short walk away, and is very private. Saw one other local couple enjoying it while we we were there. If you plan on sightseeing, rent a car as most of the attractions are about 20 -30 minutes away, closer to the Caribbean side of the island. Also, most of the restaurants are away from this side of the island, so if you don't plan on doing some of you own cooking, a automobile is desirable. The bus stop to town is just 2 minute walk around the corner. Overall this is the perfect place, and the perfect location if you want to have access to it all. Peace and tranquility, reasonable access to attractions, close to airport, safe, great beach, and a wonderful sea breeze that beats any air conditioned hotel room!

Wonderful apartment!

Everything was exactly as described on the website. What must be also mentioned is how homey and cosy this lovely apartment was, and so quiet and peaceful after our ten days at Hastings! The property is very clean and everything show attention to detail, the furnishings are very lovely and we really enjoyed every facet of the property....we had evening glasses of wine on the upper deck and watched the beautiful colors of the sky and setting sun, we enjoyed our breakfast and lunch in the covered patio with the comfy chairs, we had romantic dinners by candlelight at the glass topped table, and enjoyed preparing our own meals in the well equipped Italian kitchen! The internet service was great, and we also reclined after dark, watching a movie on the leather sofa. The bed was very comfortable, and the entire layout is very spacious. Maggie was tremendously helpful and responded quickly and often to my emails with various questions. I would definitely recommend this to a friend, as long as it was still available for us to rent! We enjoyed walking every morning, we took many different routes, but found our favorite walking adventure was to the ruins at Sam Lord's Castle, the Shark Hole, and also walking along the cliffs with the amazing views of the ocean. We also loved just relaxing and enjoying the view of the gardens, the sound of the sea, going to nearby Ginger Bay and exploring the 'bat cave' there. We ate at Cutter's - they have terrific 'cutters' (flying fish sandwiches) and they will also deliver right to Crane beach, they come by every noon hour to see if you want to order anything. We did, and it was very convenient. We also enjoyed the rum punch at the Crane, be sure to check out their happy hour from 530 - 630 every evening (except Monday), the pina coladas were tasty as well. We cooked our own meals, so didn't try any other restaurants. We absolutely loved our stay and have already planned to return again next year!

Fantastic Stay!

Picking up the keys and getting to the apartment went very smoothly. We were impressed with both the apartment and its location. The apartment was huge and well appointed. It really felt like a home away from home. Located in a safe area, nestled amongst some million dollar homes, it's just a short walk to a quiet beach. What did we like best? - spaciousness. You won't feel caged in here. - the breeze throughout the place was wonderful, especially for sleeping. - huge roof top deck and it's view. - sunroom for reading - bright airy bedrooms with lots of closet space - large bathrooms - big kitchen with icemaker - fast reliable WiFi - excellent cable TV. We didn't miss any of our favourite shows from back home. - quiet We liked everything about this place. We've visited Barbados every year for over 40 years. This will be our accomodation of choice in the future. Thank you for making such a beautiful place available!

Fabulous place to stay

Great place. Apartment was immaculate & beautifully furnished. Great view of ocean. 5 minute walk to a private sandy beach & 10 minutes to Crane Resort. Kitchen was fully equipped and it was great to have a barbeque. Loads of clean towels and linens. Internet worked perfectly. Super upper deck for evening cocktails. The Property Manager was very nice & super helpful. Only bad thing was our visit was too short - will stay longer next time!

Paradise at Crane Beach

Mermaid Apartments were everything we had hoped for. Situated in a peaceful residential area by Crane beach, the sound of the surf sent us to sleep at night and the cooling breezes from the Atlantic ocean kept us cool. The accommodation was comfortable, spacious and extremely well equipped. Nowhere is that far by car and we explored all over the island during our month's stay, always delighted to be able to return 'home' to the apartment. friends who live in Barbados came to visit and were so impressed they are thinking of renting it for 'local' vacations! A magic spot.

Quiet, comfortable and clean

We recently stayed at Mermaid Apartments for a week and enjoyed it very much. The apartment is exactly as represented and is very clean and comfortable. We rented it as a one bedroom, so after we had made our choice of bedroom, the other two were locked off. The apartment is very roomy and especially useful is the glassed in verandah because the property is on the windy side of the island. Here you could open windows to let in as much breeze as you wanted but still be sheltered. There was maid service three times a week and the management company was helpful and readily available to answer questions. This all added up to a very pleasant stay and terrific value for the money. It is only a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach but you do need a car to go anywhere else. The Crane Hotel is a 5 minute drive away and it has several restaurants. There is also a good Bajan Deli closer to the apartment but it is only open during the day. There is a large grocery store 10 minutes drive away. However if you want to visit the main tourist area with its myriad of restaurants and shops, it is a 30 minute drive. We would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a quiet and comfortable place to get away from it all.

I have stayed in Barbados...

I have stayed in Barbados many times. I must say our stay at Mermaid apartments was the best. The location was so convenient, the staff at the office was kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and our housekeeper was hard working and thorough. I will be staying at Mermaid again - actually, the very next chance I get !!! What a fantastic experience.

We found everything we needed at Mermaid. Great location, all the ammenities,wonderful breezes,friendly staff,and exellent acomadations.I can't think of anything we could have needed more.I would not hesitate to return and recomend the Mermaid not only for value but location, ease and sheer beauty. Our family, the Chandlers, were some of the first settlers in Barbados, arriving in 1637. This property came to us from out mother's side of the family. Our great-grandfather, Sir Herbert Greaves, purchased the land and it has passed down to us via his daughter and granddaughter who was our mother. We are the fourth generation to own this property.

We just love the peace and tranquility of Mermaid Apartments. Being away from the noise and bustle makes this the perfect place to relax and unwind. Sitting on the patio reading a book and all you hear is the ocean, the birds and the wonderful Atlantic breezes. At night you will be serenaded by the local 'Whistling Frogs'. Being on the top floor of a concrete building enhances the quiet. Mermaid boasts beautiful gardens. There are windows on four sides. The views of the Atlantic Ocean are breathtaking, you can see forever. Barbados is a fun and safe island, only 21 miles long and 14 miles wide.
