We had a great one week stay at the Ali'i Kai condo in Princeville. We visited about a month after the hurricane hit the island, but the condo buildings and grounds were pristine with no visible effects. The complex is fairly spread out and not too big, so it never felt crowded or busy. The two bedroom, two bath unit was very spacious for two people, but it could easily accommodate two couples or a family. The condo felt very fresh as it had been remodeled not too long ago. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. We also made use of the beach chairs, beach umbrella and walking poles that are available for the guests. Besides the beautiful mountain view from both bedrooms, the living room and the balcony, the ocean is visible across the parking lot between the adjacent buildings from the kitchen and both bathroom windows. The location was ideal for us being 5 minutes from Princeville Center (groceries, restaurants, shops), 10 minutes from Hanalei beach and town, and 15 minutes from the shuttle bus parking lot for the Na Pali coast trail (be sure to reserve ahead). An unexpected bonus was the proximity to the secret turtle cave trailhead (right between two of the condo buildings), which was amazing. It's short but can be treacherous, so read up on it and check conditions before going. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.
