Hi Gracie, Thank you for your kind words about our little Rhodes Family Farmhouse. We're so glad you enjoyed its unique charm and loved your stay. I was surprised to read about the issue with the air conditioning, as we had no idea there was a problem during your stay. In our check-in information, we ask guests to text us when they arrive, so we can communicate, so we can address any issues right away. Had we known, we would have sent someone out as quickly as possible to take a look. I do understand that your stay coincided with an extreme heat advisory, which certainly made the situation more uncomfortable. Regarding the trash, because the property is in a rural area with bears and very resourceful raccoons, we have to be especially careful about how garbage is handled. Our cleaning team does not provide trash removal, so arranging that service separately would increase costs that we'd have to pass along to every guest. To avoid raising our rates, we leave that choice up to each guest. As we stated in our check-in and out information we would have happily taking that for you for a slight cost.
