Vergeet uw zorgen tijdens het zonnebaden bij twee mooie zwembaden. Verjongen in het bubbelbad. Geniet van uw favoriete films of kabeltelevisie in de woonkamer en beide slaapkamers met queensize bedden. TV met dvd-speler is ook beschikbaar in de kinderkamer waar u twee aparte bedden zult vinden. Serenity Cottage ligt op 4 mijl van de prachtige witte zandstranden van het schiereiland Fort Morgan en midden in het nationale natuurreservaat Bon Secour. Vertraag en kom weer in contact met de natuur en met jezelf. Luister naar vogelgeluid in de ochtend en 's avonds krekels en kikkers. Serenity Cottage in the Rookery is de perfecte plek om je geest te herbouwen en je opnieuw te verbinden met je familie.

Hoewel ver weg van de drukte en verwarring, is Serenity Cottage omgeven met mogelijkheden om te spelen en te ontspannen. Het complex heeft tennisbanen en plaatsen om uw boot te parkeren. Twee bootlanceringen die toegang bieden tot Bon Secour (Mobile) Bay zijn vlakbij. Twee uitstekende golfbanen zijn ook in de buurt. Eén is slechts twee mijl van de Rookery. Het natuurreservaat biedt verschillende gemakkelijke paden door het moeras van zaaggras en het dennenbos waar je 500 verschillende dieren- en vogelsoorten kunt tegenkomen. Fort Morgan Peninsula bevindt zich in de vogel- en vlindermigratieroute. In het vroege voorjaar en de late herfst leeft het hele schiereiland met vogels en vlinders, waaronder koningen en Golf Fritillaries. Naast de gebruikelijke meeuwen en zandpijpen, kunt u ook torenvalk, anhinga, visarend, grote blauwe reiger en verschillende soorten haviken, waaronder scherpe Shin en Cooper, tegenkomen. Neem je camera mee zodat je je eigen stukje paradijs mee naar huis kunt nemen. Historische Fort Morgan is slechts 4. 5 mijl van het huisje. U kunt de autoveerboot nemen die u over de baai naar Dauphin Island brengt, waar u meer wandelpaden en het Dauphin Island Sea Lab vindt.

En vergeet het strand niet! Witte zandstranden en blauwgroen water strekken zich zo ver uit en je kunt in beide richtingen kijken. Lage bevolkingsdichtheid van Fort Morgan betekent dat zelfs in het midden van het zomerseizoen, stranden niet druk zijn. In de lente, winter en herfst kun je de hele dag op het strand doorbrengen en nooit een andere ziel zien. Na een leuke dag vol plezier, zal Serenity Cottage, gebouwd in de lokale stijl van de kust, je thuis verwelkomen om achterover te leunen, tv te kijken, bordspellen te spelen, lekker te knuffelen met een goed boek, of gewoon genieten van de sereniteit van de prachtige Gulf Coast in Alabama .

Voor reserveringen gemaakt vóór 1 oktober voor het winterseizoen (januari en februari) is minimaal 60 dagen (minimaal twee maanden) vereist. My husband and I stayed at the property with our three year old. The property was clean and had everything we needed! It was close to the pool which was nice and just a short drive to the beach. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Amazing property minutes from beach!

This property was great! The location was a few minutes to the beach and easiest to drive to. It had everything we needed for our vacation, including beach toys (sandcastle tools, boogie boards, beach chairs & beach umbrella!). It was clean and comfortable. There are 3 bedrooms, and a fold out couch, for a total of 5 beds. Each room has a Roku TV & WiFi, which was helpful for traveling with teenagers! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The location was far enough away from everything that it was quiet and relaxing! This property is a duplex, but I only heard our neighbors once the entire week. Great property for our family vacation! We had a great time and are already looking forward to going back!

Misleading....

The check in was confusing. The property was located at least 21 minutes from the rental office. It would have been easier if the key was left at the cabin in a lockbox. The cabin was clean but very sandy. The toilets Were backed up on arrival and we had to use the plunger a few times. After using it it worked the remainder of our stay. The VRBO listing was misleading, I thought I was renting a home not a duplex Although it was a decent community it was still misleading.

Family Vacation

This property is very close to the beach and pool. I loved having access to the amenities! Friendly neighbors! The house was VERY clean and comfortable. Nice tv’s in every room. Couple of things to improve the experience: 1. The kitchen is not very well stocked with utensils nor pots and pans. We absolutely made due but it would have been nice to have a toaster and more dishes. 2. While we were there the grills were removed from the neighborhood. 3. It appears there was a big leak in the ceiling and the repairs weren’t complete. Maybe the owners were waiting for the off season. This didn’t impact our stay. We had a great time in quiet Ft Morgan! We never once heard any neighbors. The residence were very friendly. I would totally rent this house again.

Clean and in Good Repair But Know Before You Go

The pros: This property was clean and well maintained, overall. It was well decorated and safe. The community pool is clean and in great shape. Location: Know that Fort Morgan beaches are not nearly as clean or nice as, say, Perdido Key, but that is not the fault of the property. The Fort Morgan fishing beach is great for crabbing and fishing but not so much for swimming. Cons: The tennis court has massive cracks in it. We brought our rackets but found the surface unusable. No pool toys or floats are available so buy or bring your own. The kitchen was not well stocked for lots of cooking, so if you plan on cooking...bring a basic pot and pan that you like, metal spatulas if you need them. All pots and pan were inexpensive Teflon and cooking utensils were plastic and flimsy. We use only metal for cooking so this was a downside for us. This unit had NO beach toys, boards, umbrellas, or chairs. So if you want to paddle board, boogie board, sand castle, umbrella yourself, use a chair or anything else...you are on your own. You will have to buy those items and leave them on the beach if you don't want to haul them home. You will also have to haul all that stuff to the beach which is generally not a short walk. The living room tv was too small for comfortable watching with lots of people. We had to shift the couches around to be able to see which made it hard to get up and get popcorn but....once we did that it was passable. The unit has very few games and no DVDs but does have a DVD player so bring any movies you want to watch. There was free internet tv with a variety of movies and shows. Wifi security is LOW so use a VPN, etc. I got no data usage from my phone using AT&T so slow/low security wifi is what there is. Also be aware the master bedroom only has a queen bed, not a king. To sum up, this is a good, lower budget choice. Just know what you are getting. We were expecting a bit more from the kitchen and amenities so will be more careful in choosing next time.

Love Fort Morgan

We stayed at the Rookery as a last minute change to our family vacation. It was a really nice cabin like feel by the beach. It was a pleasant stay. The grounds were very well maintained. The only complaint that I can give is the twin beds in the third bedroom were not very comfortable for the kids to sleep on. You could feel the springs and the kids ended up sleeping g on the couch. Other than that we truly enjoyed our time.

Cute decorations but basics need an upgrade

We just returned from a stay at this property. It was a place to land in the evening from the beach. The decorations are inviting; however, there are some basics that need upgrading. The mattresses and linens need replacing, especially the two mattresses on the 2 twin beds. You can actually feel the springs with your hand, and they were uncomfortable for my teenagers. Unfortunately the washing machine broke while we were there. The garbage disposal sounds like it is about to break, and the sink of the shared bathroom doesn't drain well. The place was not fully cleaned when we arrived. We were able to work around all of these things. Thankfully we had family staying in a nearby house and were able to use their washing machine. Also the wifi barely works, so we were only able to use it intermittently. The area we were in seemed to be more of a dead spot as it barely gets cell coverage as well. It is just something to be aware of with planning. It is about a 5 minute drive from the local beach. We enjoyed listening to the frogs "singing" in the evenings at the nearby pond.

Last minute rental

This was a nice place. Family friendly and pkenty of room to sleep. Only complaints are the dryer is old and doesnt dry well and the lady on the phone with the rental place stated the beach was a football field away and walking distance. IT WAS NOT. It also looked like they haf paibted because all of the string lights they advetized and porch furniture had all been drug out and left in the yard and all the equipment was thrown on the side of the house. Was walking distance from the pool. This served well for what we needed quickly.

Rookery 202

Unit 202 is nice and spacious and the decorations are so fun and beachy! The furniture is very nice and comfortable. Love the string lights on the screened-in porch! The only issue we noticed was a good bit of hair in the master bathroom tub drain and on the tile floor. It obviously had been mopped but maybe the mop wasn't cleaned or rinsed beforehand..? I would suggest a light blocking curtain on the master bedroom window since the street light just outside stays on all night. We did enjoy our stay and would definitely recommend The Rookery to others!

Brief Spring Break Trip

The cottage and its neighborhood was very cute and we liked the decorations in the duplex. To any looking to rent - it is a good twenty minutes from the main part of Gulf Shores! I didn’t mind the distance but it did mean allowing for drive time to go to more populated beaches and restaurants that our teens preferred gong to. Also the hot water tank was not very adequate for showers for five people coming from the beach and getting ready to go out in the evenings. We enjoyed the area and always find Gulf Shotes and Fort Morgan to be very beautiful!

Family Trip

Overall we enjoyed our stay. It’s a quiet neighborhood with friendly people. The rental felt comfy and good size space for being a duplex. Kids loved the pool which was right across and we liked that we almost had it all to ourselves on the weekdays. Fort Morgan beach is very close and we also visited the Gulf Shore beaches and even did a day trip to Pensacola. Only issues were the toilet bowl in one of the bathrooms had some sort of water line, so wasn’t cleaned very well or just an old toilet. Also, one of the Queen mattresses in the back bedroom is pretty uncomfortable, it’s sunken in on one side. Should be replaced. And when we got there, there was a water leak from the a/c but we called and they came and fixed it while we went out to dinner. On one day they were doing some repairs at the pool so we called the property managers to see when pool would be back open and they had no idea who to call about that. They said they would call me back, but didn’t the whole day so I called back and again said they would find out and call me back and never did. Eventually the next morning we saw pool was back open. But would have appreciated a call back from the property managing company like they said they would. But overall enjoyed our stay, made the best of it and didn’t let these little issues ruin our fun!

Thank you for your review! We did call the HOA at The Rookery two times, and left a voicemail both times, but our call was never returned in regards to the pool - we do apologize about that. Overall Satisfied

The property was very nice. The cleaning crew wasnt the best as there was sand all over the floor when we arrived, but other than that, the rooms all had plenty of space and we really enjoyed our time.

Beautiful and quiet

The check in/check out process was so easy. The house was beautiful and clean. It was so quiet and peaceful and the pool was right there so we just walked to it every day. The closest beach access was closed for repairs so we had to drive a little ways for that but the views along the way are gorgeous so I'm not complaining! We had an amazing time and we will be going back asap!! I couldn't be happier with this property.

Weekend getaway

The house was perfect!!! All I had to do was relax I never even heard the neighbors. The beach was so close it was nice not having a long drive to and from.
