I booked for a solo getaway to decompress and it was just what I needed. Private, beautiful lake view, cozy cabin. Being able to hear the lake was so nice and it was an easy drive to Sturgeon Bay downtown. Even had a little deer visit right outside my window. Would love to bring my husband and little one sometime - the property is very family friendly.

Great host, beautiful property for sunsets, spouse loved the decoration and feel of the spaces, short drive to town, quiet location with occasional deer-turkeys-squirrels, would stay again.

The cottage was beautiful and well-equipped with everything we needed for a wonderful stay, It was thoughtfully decorated and had a comfortable, lived-in feel that you don't often experience with vacation rentals. We enjoyed watching sunsets from the private waterfront yard and cooking a meal on the grill. The host shared thoughtful recommendations for things to do in the area. This place is truly a hidden gem, and we hope to have the opportunity to stay here again!

Perfect little cottage

We were looking for a small, quiet place on the water to get away from the city for the weekend, and this was exactly what we needed! Everything was quaint, comfortable, and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much!

The Stuga was absolutely divine! The whole cottage was perfect. Comfy beds, complete kitchen and relaxing living room. We will be booking this cottage again.

Such a cute cottage. Provided everything we needed for our time in Door County. The beautiful sunsets over Lake Michigan were a bonus, as were the deer and hummingbirds. We loved it; probably one of the top vrbo places we have stayed.

We stayed at this property recently for a quiet weekend. It was very nice, well kept, and the host were very gracious and friendly. Beautiful location and an amazing sunset.

We had a great time visiting the Stuga. A very charming and cozy place perfect for the 2 of us. Well stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. A nice launching pad to see the rest of Door County.

Wonderful!

Loved the little cabin. Felt at home immediately. Facility spotless and everything we needed was there. Watching the sunset was a trip highlight. The owner was a gracious hostess.

Loved it!

We were extremely pleased with the cottage! Although it was small they efficiently used every available space well! It was surprising that there were 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms! The location was very nice and quiet. Beautiful view of the lake! Highly recommend this location for a nice quiet getaway!!!!!!

Wonderful getaway

What a wonderful place the Stuga is for a relaxing weekend getaway. My two daughters, young grandson and myself enjoyed several days at the Stuga. Our host was most gracious and the Stuga is so very warm and inviting, right down to the wonderful selection of books, soft lighting and the little touches that made us feel right at home. The location is quiet and off the beaten path. Perfect for anyone looking for a quiet time enjoying nature.

This little guest house was perfect for my little family of 3. Right on the water. Barbro was such a sweet woman. Nice and close to a boat launch, perfect for my husband who is an avid fisherman. Perfect quiet getaway!!

Cute and Charming

Charming cottage with sweetest host. We did not get to enjoy the outdoors much due to weather and bugs, but the yard was large and had everything you needed. Would definitely recommend if you want to be away from it all, but next time we will stay more centrally located in Door County.

It was a great place to stay. The host was very responsive and helpful. The place was very well equipped with everything you need for cooking. The view from the house to the lake was very pretty as well, and you can make a little bonfire to relax with the view of the lake. The host had all the materials for making a fire and they even left some things for s’mores . We definitely come back.

What a lovely place! We were welcomed by the host upon arrival and she even gave us a few local recommendations that were good for kids for our weekend. The cottage was perfect for our family of four, and had all we needed to cook meals and relax together during our stay. The kids (5 & 3) really loved the swings on the property and the beach was great for viewing sunsets and stars. The eat-in kitchen was cozy, but it was also nice to have the outdoor table and chairs to enjoy a nice evening. Especially appreciated were the puzzles and books, lots of linens, well stocked kitchen, cozy decor, and kindness of the host! We had an excellent experience and would stay here again.

Cozy & Quiet

This little cottage nestled in the woods, surrounded by wildlife (saw 4 deer in the yard and 7 wild turkeys!) was very clean, and quite. Beautiful yard and outdoor seating area! Very well equipted with everything you will need in the kitchen and bathrooms. The only downside were the mattresses in the small bedroom need replacing.
