Verken de kust op steenworp afstand van uw voordeur in dit mooie en ruime Crescent City Beach House! Binnenin heb je een dramatisch uitzicht op de oceaan vanuit de meeste kamers met het dubbele van de woonruimtes, plus een volledige keuken en een extra lager gelegen kitchenette, waardoor dit huis ideaal is voor twee families om te delen. Deze verhuur omvat ook een gemeubileerd terras met een gasgrill en een grote, afgesloten achtertuin.

Wat is er in de buurt:
Wandel over de weg, steek een open veld over en kom aan de waterkant en op een parcours van zes mijl dat helemaal naar Point St. loopt George Park. Kijk uit voor walvissen, zeeleeuwen en drukke kustvogels, of gewoon op het strand voor agaten en schelpen tijdens je trektocht. Bekijk in het zuiden Battery Point Lighthouse and Park, een geweldige plek om de Frisbee te gooien en te kijken naar de vissersboten die hun vangst van de dag binnenbrengen. Er zijn ook restaurants waar u naartoe kunt wandelen, waaronder een door een familie gerunde pizzeria en een Thais restaurant. Jaarlijkse Crescent City-evenementen zijn onder meer de Del Norte County Spring Fair en de Sea Cruise Car Show die elk jaar in oktober wordt gehouden tijdens het Columbus Day-weekend. Andere leuke evenementen zijn het Smith River Days Festival, het Klamath Salmon Festival en het Blackberry Festival & Harvest Celebration.

Pretty nice.

The property was clean and in a convenient location. I’d stay here again. My critique is minor. Like most rentals they photograph nicer than they are. The master bed was a queen with no night stands and it was low to the ground. Why not get a proper sized king with night stands? Quite a few lightbulbs were out, the electronic starter on the grill didn’t work (and it was a bit old and funky). Maybe buy a new 150 grill every season? The hot tub is pictured but didn’t work (the hot tub was not listed but it was pictured). The shower in the master has a wimpy curtain that didn’t close properly, etc. Nothing tragic but it looks super premium but in reality it was just nice. Again, I’d stay there again, but I was expecting super premium (and the pictures look super premium). If money is an issue, charge a bit more and make it a bit more fancy. All and all a nice place in a nice location.

There was enough room for everyone’s needs. The downstairs tv area was great for the watching movies without bothering the others upstairs. The lighthouse and beach access so close was a wonderful amenity!

Family getaway

This was a wonderful place for three generations to be able to stay together but have their own space. The downstairs sitting area was wonderful for watching a movie while not disturbing the others upstairs.

Ocean view but house could be much better

Pros: The inside of the house was very clean and the ocean view from the kitchen and two bedrooms was fabulous. The close proximity to the lighthouse and city park was very nice. Cons: The house is premium prices for the ocean view, but it has the bare minimal amenities and does not have garage access. 3 of the 4 beds need foundations or box springs to properly support the matrices and bring the beds up to an acceptable height for entry and egress. The bedrooms have sheer curtains, so the street light lights up the downstairs bedroom all night long, and the sheer curtains the master bedroom make sure you're awake at sunrise. There are no curtains in the kitchen and dining nook, so you are living in a fishbowl as soon as the sun goes down and you turn on a light. The house was rented for 8 people, but there is barely seating for 4 in the upstairs family room, and there are no comfortable chairs available to enjoy the ocean view from the kitchen and dining nook. The eastern view from the house is over a city storage yard with old equipment and materials. Having access from the garage to the lower level would have been very nice for our mobility limited guests as the front stairs and a second level of stairs must be traversed to enter the upstairs or downstairs living areas and bedrooms. Both tv remotes have non-functioning power buttons, so the buttons on the sides of the tv must be used. The tv in the upstairs family room is very small. We would not have rented the house had we better understood the condition of 3 of the beds and the other issues. The view from the kitchen just isn't worth putting up with all of the other issues.

Great House

We had a great stay in Crescent City. We enjoyed the Redwoods that were close by. We had a spill of food in the kitchen and there was no access to a broom or a vacuum. We had to run to the dollar store to get a cheap broom and dustpan. Other than that, this was a great home for our large family.

The interior of the home was well maintained and comfortable. The bed in the master is thin and uncomfortable. There were some interesting people roaming the neighborhood and I wish we could have parked in the garage for more security. There is a trail across the street to the beach which was awesome. The view from the dining room was incredible. Great access to the Redwoods. Overall a great place, just wish the beds were better and some maintenance (light bulbs, electrical outlet faceplate) was improved.

Paradise "lost"

A seemingly beautiful house, with many issues, furnace didn't work, prop manager had to bring us portable heaters, electrical was incorrectly wired, lights flickered and breakers clipped, some of the towels smelled musty, carpet was wrinkled dirty and had dead insect. This could have been a wonderful rental, unfortunately all these problems have been neglected.

Cresent City stay

We enjoyed the stay. I house was as described and we enjoyed the location and the views from the front of the building. The only detraction was the multiple stains on the carpet on the entry stairs, upstairs entry area and some of the bedrooms. New carpet would definitely improve the review.

Great views, fun town!

The property had an amazing view of the Pacific and watching sunsets from the dinning room table was wonderful! The home is a little dated and was clean but not deep cleaned. The home is large and we enjoyed being able to spread out a bit. The town had a few fun shops that my teens liked shopping in. The people in the town were all very friendly. The only negative about the property were the beds. They were thin mattresses on a platform and left my back aching. I ended up sleeping on the couch after my first night.

Great rental!

This is a great home and so close to the beach! Lots of room and close to town. Kitchen has great supplies for cooking, our kids had all their own space. Would stay again!

Unmet Potential and Undisclosed Information

The property had a lot of potential but was poorly maintained. The outside of the house appears run down, in stark contrast to the well-kept neighbor's house. The dimming lights in the living room and master bedroom were not installed correctly as they had a strobing effect if not turned to just the right setting. Both the master bathroom and basement bathroom had jammed sink stoppers. Some of the curtain rods were lazily installed, as they would slide back and forth when trying to open/close curtains. The pictures included a photo of a hot tub, but it was out of service for the stay (in their defense it was not listed as an amenity in the posting, but I still found this to be misleading). The property did have gorgeous ocean and mountain views, however this was greatly smeared by the dump in the neighboring backyard. This eyesore took up nearly all of the views from the backyard balcony and was a large disappointment. The location of this property was very ideal, and we enjoyed quick access to the ocean, sightseeing, and activities. The home was spacious and comfortably accommodated our family of 7 for 6 days. If proper maintenance/updates were completed on this house and information on the backyard situation was transparent, it would have the potential to be a 9/10 stay.

Nice house beautiful view

House was in good shape and fit our family well. The cleanliness was questionable but liveable. There were dozens of bee hives underneath the roof that shouldn’t been there. Windows looked dirty but I believe it was from the outside. House itself was nice could prob use a new paint job as some areas were paint chipped but thats to be expected due to the salt air. Deck had a pair of chairs but no table to have our morning coffee at. Overall it was good for the price we paid.

Bare necessities

Location is fairly close for access to Redwoods. Nice ocean and lighthouse views. House is dated and in need of repair and paint. It does have 4 bedrooms on 2 levels. All queen beds of varying comfort. Window coverings are inadequate in bedrooms. The curtains barely cover the windows. A shade would be appreciated for privacy and room darkening. One of the bedrooms had no electricity. No operational outlets or lighting. Notified property management and they said “they would put in a ticket “. This issue went unresolved during our stay. Dated appliances and worn interior furnishings. Inside front door handle barely hanging on. Screws were loose and the handle was moments away from falling off. Weird single use powdered soap in shower. Bring your own. Not a bad choice for families with young children but it was underwhelming. Everything listed was there (sort of) but of lesser quality than expected. I would not recommend.

Wonderful location, large home

The location was great. Within walking distance to beach, lighthouse and restaurants. The interior was a little disappointing. Stained carpets, the cloth runner on the kitchen table was dirty/stained. There are no window coverings in the main living spaces so at night you are on display to the neighbors. The location and large spaces were enough to overcome these other things.

Amazing Home Right on the Beach

We rented this unit to have our family TG here in 2022. The views are amazing and restaurants, the pier and play ground are all within walking distance. We had a couple of minor issues which the property manager took care of very promplty. The only element that deserves a comment is that the carpet needs a deep cleaning. If we visit again, we'll rent again and we highly recommend to anyone.

Great small town vacation

The views from this house were amazing! Just a small walk to the beach, and other restaurants down the road. The food at Seaquake was always delicious. The carpets were a little dirty but our main complaint was that the air conditioner couldn’t keep up with cooling the house. It was faster to just leave the windows open, but with the number of homeless people around the time for that was slim. Would definitely recommend for people who love to explore nature and want to escape to a small town.

Family Vacation

This home has plenty of space for the family to spread out and relax or come together! So much exploring is within walking distance. The Redwoods are a short drive. You have everything you need for cooking meals in the kitchen, or restaurants are close by. Enough children's toys to keep them occupied when resting and even games and puzzles for the adults.
