Relaxing hacienda stay!

Anniversary Stay

Absolutely stunning. Beautiful house with killer views, could not get much better along this coast. Anniversary trip to Mexico and what a great place to celebrate.

Perfection...

This place was just perfect. The view, the house, the staff, the owner, the property manager, the food, the price, the location, the beds... just perfect! We travel a lot and are all planning on coming back to Casa Melissa again!

Home away from home!

Amazing property with an unparalleled view of the Pacific Coast! This home feels safe and relaxing while providing close access to the local social scene and beaches. Definitely would recommend to any group looking for an authentic Mexican getaway with cliffside luxurious perks.

Beautiful place

Melissa was extremely thorough and helpful before, during and even after our stay when a few items got mistakenly left behind. The house was very spacious with multiple rooms and a small casita. The pool was beautiful and the view of the ocean was outstanding. We loved our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Melissa

Our stay at Casa Melissa was perfect. The house and the setting are both beautiful- 180 degree views of the ocean and amazing sunsets. The staff took excellent care of us. We highly recommend a visit to San Pancho. It's a laid back, authentic Mexican village. If you do go, a stay at Casa Melissa is a must.

Gorgeous views!

We loved our stay at Casa Melissa! We had a great family vacation with 10 people & there was plenty of room for everyone. The views up and down the coast were magnificent! One of our favorite things to do was just lay in the pool & watch the birds fly by at eye level. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Relaxing Paradise

WOW!.... Casa Melissa is a great property to relax and be spoiled. The property is well taken care of with beautiful grounds. Our family enjoyed the spectacular pool. The services are wonderful: Nidia cooked a couple special dinners - some of the best food we've had. Iris and Otto were extremely attentive to all our needs. I highly recommend a stay at Casa Melissa!

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay at Casa Melissa and the town of San Pancho. Nidia is our house manager's sister and daughter of our usual cook. She is a professional baker but I have never had her cook for me. Looks like I have been missing out. I know her cakes are great! Wonderful that you could have a great vacation even in the time of Covid. We enjoyed having you and hope you get a chance to return.

The view

The property offers adequate space and offers a functional layout. The pool is nice and warm and has the best views, watching the sunsets was the best part of our trip. The property is not in walking distance to the town nor a beach but a short drive, the road to the property is steep and requires 4X4.

I am sorry that the location did not meet your expectations. Yes, it is a mile from town and 1/4 mile from the north end of the mile long beach. I thought that was made clear in both our information sheet, as well as on the vrbo site. When we are at Casa Melissa, we walk to town along the beach several times a week. I don't know why Calle Melissa needed a 4x4 - perhaps construction disrupted things. Most people rent a car and some have used golf carts.

Book it...TODAY... you won't be sorry!

Can't say enough good things about the property and staff at Casa Melissa. We spent 5 nights and will have memories to last a life time. The views are even more beautiful than the photos posted. Absolutely jaw dropping. Great for a family vacation or girl's trip. San Pancho is easy to walk to and the people are so gracious, warm, and welcoming. Would love to make this an annual trip. Thank you Melissa!!!!

Wowza !

This place does not disappoint in any way. I’ve stayed in some pretty Cool places on the Pacific Ocean, and Casa Melissa rises to the top of the list. The Views are amazing from any where on the property. I have waited for over 15 years for it to be available for my travel dates, and finally the stars aligned, and I got my wish. I hope to stay here many more times. Thank you Melissa for sharing your Wonderful place with us, we feel blessed.

Loved Our Stay

The property was wonderful!! The owner was very informative and accessible. The pictures don't do the view justice. It is breathtaking when you pull up to the house. The staff was highly attentive, grounds and house very well maintained. We had one issue with the gate not opening, and it was resolved immediately! If you stay here, you MUST hire Yeyo to cook. We had him for 3 dinners and 1 brunch, and his company and cooking were spectacular!! We will absolutely be back:)

Family Christmas getaway

When we arrived at Casa Melissa, we quickly agreed that the pictures did not do justice to how beautiful this property is. It exceeded expectations. We ate 4 meals at home: Red Snapper, Fajitas, Coconut Shrimp, and Chili Rellenos. Yeyo is an excellent cook and we'd strongly recommend using his services. Before the trip, I had an extensive dialog with Melissa and she promptly answered all questions asked from travel, to eating recommendations, to personal safety. I would highly recommend this property.

Lovely place for a getaway

House was very well maintained and had everything we needed. The pool was a delight. It was a bit isolated which was good. We used taxi recommended by Iris to go to San Pancho and Sayulita. She was always helpful no matter what we asked. It was hot in Mexico in August. The bedrooms are air conditioned, but not the rest of the house. That said, our stay was delightful. We would return, but at a different time of year

Amazing!

Everything was beyond our expectations. Everything... Working with the home owner Melissa - Amazing! She answered every question so promptly and was so informative and kind. Casa Melissa - Amazing. So clean, comfortable, well appointed, lay out was perfect! Iris, Yeyo and their helpers - AMAZING! We were there for only 4 nights and it felt like they were family. Food was amazing, the house we kept so clean - they went above and beyond. They are all irreplaceable. We hope to come back next year and make Casa Melissa our home away from home.

Paradise!

We had a fabulous time at Casa Melissa! It was so peaceful and relaxing and the views are stunning! We had Yeyo and his wife Francis fix 2 breakfasts and 3 dinners during our stay and it was so delicious. We had fun zip lining and walking to the beach but the best part is hanging out at the house, watching the birds, and staring at the ocean from the pool. I did not want to leave! My boyfriend proposed to me in the pool so this made the trip even more special:) We did not miss the use of our phones and didn't watch TV so it was a true escape from reality. What a View!

We chose August, probably the hottest and most humid month to visit Casa Melissa, but we had a wonderful time! Melissa has made visiting so easy with prompt communication and spot on advice. Read all the previous reviews and you will see that there is not one negative response. Diva for a shuttle from the airport, Gecko car rental, Mega shopping. I don't think I have had an easier stay anywhere. The construction is quite impressive, but we didn't have any problem. It is a good idea to rent a suv with good clearance though. The views are so amazing, and we were in the pool for hours, but especially at sunset. Thanks Melissa for a wonderful week in San Pancho!

Amazing Location and house

Casa Melissa was incredible. It's one of the most beautiful spots we have ever been to. The house, tennis court and pool were all in great shape and used constantly by our group. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. The house and kitchen were fully stocked with all the equipment and amenities we could think to use. We saw humpback whales, dolphins and many types of large birds from the pool and patio, and used the (basket full) of binoculars often. It is a little difficult to find at first, but Melissa gives thorough directions, and once you figure it out it becomes simple. The grounds manager helped us rent a golf cart (which was delivered to the house) on the first day. We found that more fun to take rides in to town to go to the beach and out to eat. It's a special place, and we won't forget it.
