LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Beautiful 3-bedroom 2.5 bath Cape in Groton Long Point. The home has character with hardwood floors, lots of windows, and is full of antiques (my parents have an antiques shop in Mystic). The kitchen has granite counter tops and a center island. Relax on a large private deck with a hot tub and a very nice outdoor shower. There is also a backyard surrounded with trees that is very private (the back fence was recently replaced). The home is spacious with over 2300 square feet, and includes a long den as well as a living room. It is two blocks from the water in a private beach community which is only a few miles from the Mystic Seaport. Activities in the community include swimming, sailing, fishing, kayaking, and tennis.

The house was built in 1947 and has exposed wooden beams and high ceilings throughout the ground floor, and 15-foot vaulted ceilings in the 2 largest bedrooms on the second floor. Each of those bedrooms has its own bathroom. The third smaller bedroom with a window is adjacent to the bathroom with a sunken tub. The long den has a piano and a full-size futon. There are 2 velvet floor mattresses (in addition to 2 queen-size beds and 1 twin-size bed in the upstairs bedrooms). Large Smart TV for streaming (no cable), patio furniture, linens and towels, kitchen supplies, etc., are included.

There are three beaches within walking distance, along with the marshes and the nearby woods with deer and hiking trails. There are lots of birds in this area, and Mystic with its fine restaurants, bars, and Aquarium is just a ten minutes’ drive. 2024 Availability: our home is still available July 9 - 20 and August 11-18. There is a 5-night minimum and a 5% discount on 7+ night rentals which VRBO will apply automatically. No cleaning fees.
