Pretty and perfectly located!

Excellent location for walking to all attractions, yet quiet enough at night to sleep. Beds comfy but a bit tight for 4 adults. Great kitchen space and lovely hosts. We will be coming back!!

Family trip to Old Orchard Beach

Very clean. Location is super convenient to downtown Old Orchard Beach. No view of the beach and the train is a bit noisy at nighttime but it’s hard to avoid if you want to be downtown. We had a good time, thank you.

Sister’s Weekend

Every year my sisters and sister in law get together for a girl’s weekend. We chose this spot after our weekend last year in Boothbay Harbor. The owners of this property were wonderful and we were able to chat with them a bit during our stay. They were very nice and accommodating. Thank you.

Clean but cheap.

My family and I stayed here for a weekend get away. Knowing we were visiting off seasons, we were expecting the pier to be closed, which it was..along with most of the shops near by. The area is great and I would love to visit again in the summer. As for our recent trip... our first impression was okay. We arrived later than planned, the keybox was hard to find, and the key box was difficult to get into. Upon entry, the unit was freezing! It was probably 35 outside and the heater was all the way off, and with baseboard heating...it took forever for it to warm up. The unit was clean but the 2nd bedroom bed appeared lumpy(?). Upon further inspection, the bed was falling through the frame. It's a very old bed and I believe the mattress was too. The master bedroom was better, but the bed was uncomfortable. The bedding appears old. We were traveling with a 4 year old that used the 2nd bedroom and as I checked the window, it was unlocked and physically impossible to close all of the way, and upon further inspection, all of the windows in the unit were unlocked. As far as security goes, there should be at least a deadbolt on both of the doors. The toilet broke while we were there, thankfully the owner was near by and got the part for the toilet but before we knew it...my husband was fixing the toilet on our vacation. :( Other things: The dishes appeared dirty, wash before you use! Dont forget your towels and coffee filters. I would no recommend this unit for anyone with younger kids.

Thank you for your review! We agree that Old Orchard Beach is definately a summer resort destination! The streets close up after Columbus Day weekend but the ocean is always present and awesome! We take great pride in this property as we just purchased it this year! We have personally cleaned each and every unit throughout the season and feel as though we are meticulous with our inspections. We are sorry to hear the dishes did not appear clean, we will add extra time inspecting those in the future. We agree the bedspreads are hotel-like as we purchased it from a hotel and felt it would be unnecessary to replace them as they are new...but dated. The lock box is hidden from the street for safety reasons with a 4 digit combination number to open it, a standard lock box which seems to have worked all summer for our guests. We do agree that the 2nd bedroom bed needs to be replaced which will happen for the 2017 season as we were essentially booked for 2016 and could not possibly replace mid-season. We will look into the window not locking in the 2nd bedroom, it was locked when we purchased the property, we would imagine guests have opened them throughout the season to let in the ocean air in and we will make sure it is lockable in the future. We were very fortunate to be onsite when you let us know the toilet handle broke off as we quickly got to the hardware store to buy the new part before they closed! We are very hands-on owners and very willing and able to fix broken mishaps, we must have misunderstood as we were thrilled when your husband offered to put the new one back on as we were in the yard building a shed. We are very thankful for suggestions, it's what will make our property even better for next year!

Great Location!!

Our stay with JK Rentals was great! Awesome communication and excellent location. Arcade and amusement park was just a minute or two walk! The rental was clean as a whistle and the checkin process was seamless, we even were able to check in early, which we appreciated! The only thing we were bummed about is having to go to Walgreens down the street to get toilet paper - because we were only left with a half a roll for a 3 night stay. We assumed there would be an extra roll lying around but there wasn't and we didn't want to bother the owners at 8:30 pm. Not a big deal at all, just wanted to point it out. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Fun Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was in a perfect location, just a short walk from the beach and the pier which was great with two little ones. There was plenty to do in the area to keep us all entertained. The owner was very friendly and quickly responded to any texts through out the weekend. We hope to stay here again one day.
