We had an excellent 5 nights here . Muriel and Michael were excellent hosts who lived downstairs- there if you needed them but not intrusive at all . The apartment was lovely with everything we needed . The pool was wonderful- we spent quite a lot of time there after visiting chateaux . It was the heatwave when we there so very welcome .It is soooo so peaceful and calm . But … it is in the middle of nowhere so you need to be organised with provisions. It seemed very central and we were able to visit quite a few chateaux but it was very hot so one a day was enough for us . We had a great time and would highly recommend. We left hot - but very relaxed. Thank you xx

Amazing Accomodation

We were looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday whilst being able to soak up the French way of life and Le Plessis was perfect! Muriel and Michel were perfect hosts. The accomodation and swimming pool were beautiful. Thanks for a great time

Perfect farmhouse base to visit chateaux

We visited chateaux east of Amboise and this was the perfect base. We were exhausted at the end of each day so accommodation in town would be a waste and parking a hassle. This farm house was very convenient to main road but quiet and the couple who own it are perfect.

Wonderful stay

This was a wonderful find. Le Plessis is a fantastic place to stay. Muriel and Michel are lovely and make your stay perfect. The loft is very spacious, spotlessly clean, fully equipped and really comfortable. Our daughter enjoyed her time in the pool and it is an ideal location to explore the Loire Valley. Le Plessis is completely peaceful and in a stunning location. We had probably our best stay in France here, and we would love to return. My only concern in praising this so much is that others will snap it up first!

Incredible Stay at Le Plessis

We had a magical time staying at Le Plessis! Michele & Muriel were incredible hosts. It was peaceful and not too far to Amboise. We had everything we needed at the house and felt so relaxed. The children loved the pool and we had so much space to enjoy time together on our summer holiday. Recommend this property highly if you are traveling to the Loire region with kids! (Our children are 7 and 12). Also we found a little winery only 5 min away! Definitely recommend this for a lovely and memorable holiday!

We had a wonderful time at Le Plessis. Michel and Muriel were fabulous hosts- very friendly and generous. The pool was lovely, though due to the weather we weren't able to use it as much as we would have liked. Beautiful grounds, surrounded by lovely countryside - so quiet and peaceful. We loved having the sheep and chickens roaming around nearby. The 2 cats were an added bonus as we're both cat lovers! We have visited the Loire valley 4 times and this was, by far, the best place we have stayed. Thank you to our lovely hosts for the longest aperitif evening ever (6 and a half hours!) with lots of drinks, snacks and laughs!! We felt genuinely sad to leave. We were so quiet and relaxed that on a couple of occasions, the owners were worried something had happened to us and came to check we were ok! It's ok, Michel and Muriel- we're not dead! Hahaha. Such a wonderful time, thank you xxx

Les Plessis is a fantastic getaway for anybody who cherishes holidays in a quiet retreat, and a well-situated place as a base camp for excursions in the Loire valley. The flat is fully equipped and modern with a separate entrance on the first floor of an idyllic farmhouse (more than 200 years old). The place is very spacious with separate sleeping rooms and a central living room/fully equipped kitchen plus bathroom. The amenities are great (pool, trampoline, dedicated eating place outside in a grape arbour etc). The place is central for instance between Chambord/Blois, Tours/Villandry and Amboise/Chenonceau; also close to excellent value-for-money vineries (e.g. Chateau de Valmer, Guertin and others in Vouvray). Les petit plessis is equally suited for families and cultured couples, also for several adults. Most importantly of course, Muriel and Michel are the kindest and most generous hosts. Merci pour tout et pour votre générosité, nous avons vraiment passé un excellent séjour!

We had a really lovely week. The apartment was a little gem but you do need to be ok on steps as an outside staircase. The pool was so welcome particularly as we had a couple of really hot days. Michel and Muriel were most welcoming and friendly during our stay.

Un sejour reposant très agréable

Le logement est parfait pour quatre à cinq personnes (nous étions 2 adultes et 3 ados), son emplacement idéal, en pleine campagne, pour visiter la région. L'accueil de Muriel et Michel a été très chaleureux

Séjour agréable en famille

Merci aux hôtes Muriel et Michel qui nous ont très bien accueillis et renseignés tout au long du séjour. Nous avons beaucoup aimé la région, petit bémol tout se fait en voiture pour aller visiter les différentes villes, châteaux, vignerons. Nous vous le recommandons pour un séjour en toute quiétude.

Ein sehr schöner und erholsamer Urlaub

Wir hatten leider nur 10 Tage,die wir ausgiebig genießen konnten... Muriel und Michel haben uns sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit,aber niemals aufdringlich durch unseren Urlaub begleitet. Die Ferienwohnung ist schön geschnitten,sauber und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet.Von hier haben wir die Schlösser in der Touraine mit dem Auto gut erreichen können. Der Pool war sauber,Liegestühle und Schirm waren vorhanden.Es gibt einen schönen Sitzplatz ,beschattet durch Weinreben,mit Blick auf den Pool und die weitläufige Landschaft. Wir haben vor nächstes Jahr wieder zu kommen. Merci Muriel et Michel et à bientôt ! die

Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful, on call throughout our stay. The pool was a very welcome addition to cool day after a day exploring. Beautiful accommodation in a very rural quite location.

Superbe séjour

Excellente communication avec Steven pour tous les détails pratiques. La localisation de la maison est aussi excellente car située au calme en pleine campagne mais à proximité de beaucoup de lieux à visiter. Le logement est très agréable. Tout est bien pensé pour passer de bons moments et se reposer. Un grand merci à Muriel et Michel pour leur accueil et leur bienveillance. Si nous devons revenir dans la région, nous savons où réserver !

Excellent Sejour!

Nous avons passez de très bonnes vacances au Plessis et avons été très bien accueilli par Muriel et son mari! C'est un très beau cadre, a la campagne avec quelques animaux de la ferme mais aussi une piscine pour se relaxer! C'était un séjour idéal pour nous (famille de 2 adultes et 2 enfants) avec à proximité les chateaux de la Loire et d'autres sites à visiter. Merci encore pour l'accueil et pour votre gentillesse. Nous recommendons vivement!

French Country Paradise

My friend and I stayed at one of the manager's great Paris apartments first, before opting for a French Country experience. Our stay in this huge apartment, over what was once the stables, was paradise. The tall ceilings, the amazing beams, and exposed stone. It was historic, but modern, with fast Internet, free calls to Canada, and English T.V. channels. We were minutes from Amboise, a town with lots to see, including DaVinci's home, the Royal Palace, and the open market. There was a yummy bakery in the small town, and a very upper end restaurant too - delicious! The owners of the farm were so nice and helpful, and the grounds well kept. We especially enjoyed feeding our left over bread to the friendly sheep in their field, and relaxing under the oaks, after visiting a chateau per day. We highly recommend this rental to families who want to discover the Loire Valley, and experience the best of the French countryside

Paradise in the French countryside.

My husband and I stayed in Le loft for a week last year and couldn't have been happier.It was everything we had ever dreamed of and even more! I'm writing this so late because I thought I had written a review but then realised I had only written in the guest book at Le Loft when we left. Everyone should know how wonderful this place is! We had just finished a fairly hectic 5 week tour of the UK, followed by visiting World War 1 and World War 2 sites in France so we were really in need of a rest. We found the place quite easily , thanks to Steven's very good directions and with help from our sat nav. We were greeted warmly by Steven, but Veronica wasn't there as she was away and not coming back until that night. When she did arrive she had the flu and was sick the whole time we were there for which she was very apologetic but she really needed to rest, which of course, we understood. Le Loft itself has all mod cons whilst being a very old farmhouse. The bed was comfortable, it was peaceful and quiet, beautiful views from the balcony---everything you could ask for in farmhouse accommodation. We had a great thunderstorm one night that went on for hours with lightning constantly flashing through the forest next door--it was wonderful.We even had visits from green tree frogs because it was quite humid and even hot some days we were there. Thank heavens for the ceiling fans! We were able to get our washing done there which was piling up after so long on the road without stopping for more than one night and Steven kindly helped with the washing machine and dryer. He was also most helpful with things to do in the surrounding areas and we only managed to cover a fraction of what he suggested! We did go to the local famous top class restaurant, Auberge de la Brenne which he recommended and we had an amazing meal there. There is just so much to see in this area and Le Loft is a perfect base, much better than staying in a hotel in a city. Just go there and see for yourself---you will never regret it! it's perfect.

A country retreat in the Loire Valley

The loft was a perfect retreat after the bustle of Paris. So quiet and loved driving along the country lanes to get to the chateaux. A long soak in the bath with a glass of wine after walking all day did the trick. Great hosts you made sure we had everything we needed and more even grapes picked right off the pergola. You must have dinner at Le Flueray restaurant as impeccable.

Everything we'd hoped

My wife and I stayed here and it was fantastic. When one thinks of a farmhouse loft in the French countryside, one thinks of a place like this. A beautiful location and so much nearby! Plenty of space to go for walks in the day, easy access to Amboise and the many castles of the Loire Valley. The hosts are very gracious and extremely helpful. The loft is absolutely wonderful--spacious and clean. The amenities were perfect; "normal" plumbing (for an American) and enough media access to get connected the few times we needed to. Just a wonderful place and a wonderful experience. I can't imagine that there's anything better.

Fantastic!

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights in September. Found it a little hard to find but what a treasure when you do! A beautifully furnished and clean apartment/loft, beautiful surroundings - better than the photos. Veronica and Steven were very kind, more than helpful in answering questions/concerns. Loved the delicious fresh tomatoes from the garden which Veronica kindly let us pick, also raspberries, chard and beetroot. It is a little out of the way, about 15 mins from Amboise, but a pleasant drive. Lots to see and do, 4 nights wasn't long enough. Absolutely recommend it!
