This cabin is located very close to Boone. Easy to get to and from downtown, pet friendly, very clean and well stocked if you want to make meals there. The home is well maintained, everyting works well, and is well looked after between guests. We enjoyed our time at the cabin and would definitely stay here again in the future.

This cabin was adorable and had everything we needed. You feel like you are in the woods sitting on the peaceful deck we saw several deer walk through in the evening and morning, and a raccoon in a tree. This place is quiet and peaceful among the beautiful trees. The bedrooms are very private with two floors in between, and had we not been traveling through for only one night, this would have made a relaxing base camp retreat to explore the area for several days. Do heed the advice about the driveway, and pulling out carefully, but we had a regular SUV and navigated easily. With snow might be trickier but owner makes every attempt to represent the property accurately. We would absolutely rent again when we come back to explore the area.

Great communication! Close to Boone with nature included. We saw 6 deer in the backyard. Excellent internet and worked great for our dog.

Everything went very smooth, cabin was excellent, and enjoyed the trip. Very clean and nice. Good location to everything in Boone.

The cabin lives up to its name as a "Cozy Cottage" Great price for the area. Would consider staying there again. The owner was very easy to work with.

We absolutely loved our stay. It was perfect to be just outside of town where it was nice and quiet. The house had plenty of room and all the major necessities. We would recommend it and would stay here again.

Great stay close to App State

This is an adorable cottage with plenty of room, all the amenities of home, nestled in the woods yet only minutes to Boone and App State. Wish we were staying more than just one night!

Such a cute cabin and it was wonderful to stay at! Dennis communicated quickly and the check in and check out process was smooth. Would definitely stay again!

Hidden gem

House was very cozy, but not small at all. Great space for couples to have time together, but space from friends. Ample kitchen supplies to cook simple meals and both keurig and pot style coffee pot to cater to everyone.

I loved this property from the moment I saw it! It was even better in person. The rooms were clean/beds were comfortable/kitchen was great/furniture was comfortable/and had three Roku Smart TV’s. Our Mini-Doxie has separation anxiety so we were especially glad that the cabin was Pet Friendly. My husband grew up in Boone and went to ASU. I lived there for three years and also went to ASU. We have many ties to Boone and try to go there and stay for a couple of days every two years or so. We toured around for two days and reminisced basically!Dennis is a great communicator and host. He provides info about both check in and check out in advance. This was very helpful! Check in is a breeze. If you experience a problem he cares and will get to you promptly. He will take care of it in a very timely manner. There is a very precise booklet of procedures and things to do. The house has plenty of board and card games. Also appreciated the small refrigerator as well as the large one.If you have never visited Boone may I suggest eating at The Daniel Boone Inn which has been a favorite of ours for years. The Peddler is a great steakhouse as well. Grandfather Mtn is a great place and Tweetsie Railroad of course. If you are looking for App State Gear the Boone Mall has a great store.We really enjoyed our visit down memory lane! Thank you!

Great Location

If you're looking for a nice cabin near Boone, this is it. Just a few miles outside of town, we made day trips to Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and West Jefferson. Cozy cabin with one bedroom upstairs and one downstairs, each with its own bath. The fire pit was used every day although the short walk down the hill was a little tricky without a clear path. My walking stick came it handy. All in all, a nice stay.

This is the best VBRO we have ever used. The location is great, close to Boone and Blowing Rock. The house was immaculate and the bed was extremely comfortable. Loved the gas fireplace. It just felt like home. Highly recommend!

Great Place- Very Accommodating

We really enjoyed our one night stay at the cabin and wish we had stayed longer! The hosts anticipated every need guest could have from small touches like providing cotton pads and feminine products in the bathrooms to having board games in the living room. There’s even a mini fridge for overflow items like water if needed. The bedrooms were larger than I expected, and both bedrooms have a balcony. The host was so responsive and accommodating and we will.be back.

Peaceful

Quiet. The setting was beautiful and peaceful. The fire pit offered a wonderful fire with watching a beautiful sunset and six Deer in the woods. We were really blessed with our travels of not having snow and ice because we would not have made it up the driveway. Hope to revisit in the future.

Our family of 3 stayed here in July for a college visit to App, which is only 10 minutes away. The cottage was great. Having bedrooms and bathrooms on the upper and lower levels, with the living room and kitchen and half bath on the main level gives everyone enough space. The main and lower levels have outdoor decks, and there is a nice covered front porch at the main entry .The interior is beautiful and clean; the directions provided by the host were accurate and easy to follow, and check in was seamless. It is convenient to Boone and App to the north, and to the Blue Ridge Parkway about 5-10 minutes to the south. We loved it and highly recommend the cottage. The only concerns would be if you have trouble with stairs, as both bedrooms are accessed by stairs. And, in ice, the driveway might be tricky, but otherwise it is easy to access in any car or SUV. Would love to visit in the fall, as it’s wooded setting would be especially pretty!

Great cabin for the family

The cabin was clean and great side for our family of 4 and pets the house had everything we need it and more they really thought about everything including our pets there was extra stuff in case you forgot something the house was located a couple minutes from many attractions and shops overall great we will definitely be back

No regrets!

Beautiful cozy cabin close to everything without the noise! With split floorplan so much privacy! At the end of the day when we went to our perspective bedrooms we were able to read, watch TV, or listen to music without disturbing each other at all! Kitchen was adequately furnished, bed and bath linens were premium quality, and the cabin was spotless. No more searching for accommodations in Boone! We have found the perfect spot!

Extremely clean and organize. Everything you need for your stay is there.

The only thing you need to bring is your own food in case you wanna cook. Everything super clean and very conservative looks like new.
