Gulf Shores, Alabama is a family-friendly beachfront town. Best beach trip ever!

My family and I had the best time. The condo fit our needs perfectly. It was close to the main tourist attractions but far enough away to not be so crowded and on top of one another. Even though this is an older complex, the condo was clean and well maintained. Hopefully we can return to it on our next visit.

Family vacation

upon arrival our door code didn't work (granted we were about 15 minutes early). After our check in time the code still did not work so after 2 phone calls we finally got a new code that worked. Once we finally got in our unit it was a complete mess. Housekeeping had not been there to clean the unit so another phone call to get that taken care of. Finally go to get our things in the unit about 2 hours after our check in time. The unit was smaller than it appeared in the pictures online but we made it work. After the issues of checking in we had a great vacation. Location definitely a plus!!

Great Location but there were issues

Although the location of the property was fine, we had issues from the start. When we arrived, someone was in our parking spot and we noticed the signage around the property regarding appeared to be vandalized so that part of the wording giving information about assigned parking was removed. Eventually another guest located the person that was in our spot. It turns out they were a group of college graduates that had many people staying in one condo. Other areas that need work: • The dryer lint cover was missing so the lint came off on our clothing. • The tub in the guest bedroom becomes clogged when using. • The washer makes a knocking noise when washing. • On the second day, when we tried to enter the condo the batteries in the keypad were dead, so we called maintenance and they responded quickly. Maybe batteries should be changed after every rental so that doesn’t happen. • The overall cleanliness of the unit was clean, however there were other items that could have used cleaning. The ceiling fans in the bedroom’s downstairs were dirty, the blinds were dirty, and the pantry shelving as well as the floorboards needed cleaning.

Overall good value. Had to buy our own toilet paper and paper towels.

The was that it was on the beach. The not so good is that we may have witnessed child trafficking out of one of the units.

The Beach - barefoot steps away!

This condo gave us just what we needed - a relaxing place right on the beach! Kids were in and out of the pool and surf all day long. The shoreline was amazing! One unpleasant surprise was that the shoreline was closed to pets, so we found we had a pet friendly condo with limited things to do with dog. (This will factor in to whether we return to the area.) With the third bedroom we had plenty of room for the kids. Location was close to plenty of restaurants and within walking distance of ice cream - bonus!
