Reunion in hays

Seriously the most unique, cozy, clean and well stocked place I’ve stayed. We got to meet the owner who was delightful and knowledgeable about the renovated property. WE LOVED EVERY detail. We’ll done. We look forward to staying next year for a wedding!!!

Very comfortable

We loved our stay at this beautifully restored historic home. We enjoyed looking at and reading about all of the interesting artifacts recovered during the restoration. And THANK YOU for the fresh eggs! I highly recommend this well stocked home.

Clean, Cozy & Cute!

Property is exactly as advertised. Clean, cozy cute and very charming! Very nicely decorated, loved the wallpapers! Had everything we needed. Super close to downtown, easy walking to coffee and restaurants. Owner was very easy to contact and work with. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again next time we visit Hays.

Lovely setting!!!!!

What a wonderful experience! These folks have thought of everything. It has 2 separate bedrooms with a nice little eat-in kitchen, and a comfortable front room. Newspapers found during renovation are framed and provide great conversation pieces. Downtown shopping two blocks away. Will absolutely be back!

Oktoberfest gathering

The house is beautiful and well maintained. Loved the location. Kleenex’s would be nice. We would also like to know the history of the house. When did it become a VRBO? What was it used for before that?

Just as advertised. Cozy, comfortable and near downtown shops. Would stay again when our travels take us through Hays, although on a Monday morning at 10 am none of the breakfast places, diners and coffee shops of Hays were open. Starbucks was open but we were hoping to support the local economy. Thanks for making the Hays history book available so we learned more about the place!

cool historic house

Costs a little more than the local hotels but the history and character of this place makes for a unique stay. I did not receive the access info via email and had to call the manager to gain access. While that was a pain, she was very pleasant and responsive :). The house is 128 years old so expect creaky floors, tiny bathroom, and the staircase is cramped as described. Overall, very cool place, we'd stay here again.

Off the beaten path

Very comfortable and quaint, walking distance to downtown Hays. Comfortable bed, what a great place to stay!
