We loved our stay at the River Estate! The house is spotless, well-appointed, and as described. It's a great place to use as a home base for exploring the north shore, which is recovering incredibly well from the most recent hurricane. We loved being just a short drive from Hanalei, while being able to escape to the quiet at the end of the day. Highly recommend this location!

Such a peaceful stay at a beautiful property! Mark is such a kind host and lovely to work with! We loved having the sound of the river and birds all around us. Kauai is getting back to what it was before the hurricane! We will be back!

Beautiful home on stilts that sits in a perfect tropical setting complete with babbling brook. A special home that welcomes. The air conditioning did seem to set off during the night but given everything else this was but a minor inconvenience as it never got warm enough to disturb our sleep.

Absolutely stunning home in an unforgettable location. Peace and serenity surround you with the flowing water nearby and rainforest all around. Thank you guys for an amazing place for us to get away from the craziness of life for a week and we will definitely be back as soon as we are able to break away again. 10/10 would highly recommend!

Really enjoyed our stay in River Estates. Mark was more than helpful to arrange anything I asked for...SUP's for the week, zodiac boat trip last minute, and helping us navigate the shuttle to Ha'ena State Park. Hanalei had a great farmer's market we hit up the first day to stock up on local produce as well as being a cool town to cruise around. The SUP's were great for paddling down to the private beach area, but there are also many beaches very close by to visit as well. The house was very clean and perfect for our needs. It felt like living in the jungle for a week. If it wasn't a 22 hour journey, we'd be back again soon!

House is very clean and well kept. Location is remote, just be prepared to drive a lot but that's part of being in a private area away from the resorts. Host was communicative, kitchen is well stocked, electric bbq is awesome outside, a lot of jungle noises which was a first experience for me. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

The property is beautiful. It is clean and well maintained. It is very peaceful. For those who like to cook, the kitchen was well equipped, better than most time shares and rentals. We will definitely return.

Excellent communication with the owner. Perhaps the best location we stayed in Hawaii. The house is in a beautiful spot; the river is ideal just as advertised.

Amazing place! Phenomenal beauty on the North Shore and close to the most beautiful beaches on Kauai. Host was super responsive and helpful. Everything we needed was there for us. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! Mark was an excellent host arranging kayaks and setting up a reservation for us for dinner. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is in a rural area and we enjoyed all the tropical sounds of birds, rain, chickens (yes, dogs but that didn't bother us) and of course the lovely little river behind the house. The property was very clean, well stocked with soft linens and comfortable beds. The owner Mark was just terrific, very responsive and helpful! Looking forward to a return visit :-).

Blissful

We had a blissful stay here - a lovely house in a beautiful setting, sparkling clean and well-appointed. Very quiet - we loved listening to the river and the birds. Comfortable beds, great bathrooms. Short drive to great beaches and wonderful food and shopping. We'd love to return!

Clean, peaceful and beautiful!

This was such a unique property in a cool location. Just minutes from Hanalei, this secluded property was super clean, stocked with everything we needed, and Mark was very helpful! I wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely return.
