I grew up in Altadena, California and spent the summers in Oceanside at this beach house so my mom, 2 brothers and I could escape the smoggy summer days in L.A. of the 70’s. I got my BA in Ornamental Horticulture and work as a Landscape contractor. I’ve been married to my sweetheart for 26 years and we have a son and daughter.

My dad promised my mom a beach house when they got married and many years later was able to save up enough to make good on his promise. I am thrilled to keep this family legacy property in the family to enjoy it for many generations to come.

No matter how many times we come down here the ever changing ocean view takes my breath away. It’s a timeless place where all the worries and troubles of life disappear. Incredibly, there is a fun surfing wave right out front called ‘The Rock’ for the obvious reason that there is a large solitary rock out in the water. Yes, the house is old built in the 1940’s but we’ve invested a lot into it to give it more amenities while maintaining its classic California beach house charm. The home has 3 levels each with a different vibe. My favorite is the beach level studio which is magical and has to be seen to be believed. The top level is a 2 bedroom 1 bath home which is great for a young family with kids to stay as everyone can be together. Families with older kids tend to split up with the parents appreciating the quiet and privacy of the studio to themselves while the kids are excited to have the independence of staying on a separate level. The middle level is small but has a full bed, fun perched twin bed in the hallway which is a kid favorite and full bathroom. It also opens out on the enormous middle level deck which is great for soaking up the sun. My mom loved to have fires on the beach so I upgraded the fire pit by lining it with bricks. Eating dinner on the beach table under the palm with your feet in the sand is a special treat. Hope you will enjoy the peace and relaxation that this house continues to provide for us.
