On a scale of 1-10, I would rate my stay a 20. This is the nicest VRBO I have ever stayed in. The host had tremendous attention to detail to the point of having my wife's favorite wine waiting on us. The host provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and hiking trails. I highly recommend this establishment and would not hesitate to stay again if I was in Carmel. SUPERB!!

We really enjoyed our stay, Our only problem was with the road noise from Hwy 1. Being one block away, the traffic woke us up every morning around 6 am. We live in the country, and are used to a very quiet environment. However, we realize there's not much you can do about your location. Otherwise, we were happy with the room.

Our visit to Northeast Carmel a few weeks ago is nice. The place was clean, the check-in was easy and the location was great. My husband and I stayed only a couple of nights, in which the nights were cold. We were freezing and slept poorly all night. We honestly have never stayed at a place that didn't have appropriate heating. The hosts only had a Dyson Hot & Cool purifier, in which they gave us written guidelines not to fun the Dyson more than one hour. It's also posted on their VRBO site not to run it more than an hour due to fire hazards. We did read this prior to our stay, but didn't realize that it was their only heat source. Interesting, I looked up the Dyson product and found it erroneous for Dyson's can run continuously. I was shocked, but at that point, we were checking out and heading home. Overall, the place was very nice, and I would come back if they provided appropriate heating.

Very very genuine hosts with a charming cottage. Having wine and coffee waiting for us in the room was very kind. We enjoyed having access to a private garden as well as a very convenient parking spot. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a stay in Carmel! We will be back!

This "Carmel Destination Retreat" provided the perfect getaway. The place was immaculate and filled with all the amenities that you might need and want, including parking. The location was ideal for walking to downtown Carmel or driving to nearby destinations, such as 17-Mile-Drive, Monterey, and Big Sur. The hosts were phenomenal. Their descriptions were accurate and the directions were easy to follow. They accommodated our needs and provided us with helpful info of local favorites. We would highly recommend staying at this "Carmel Destination Retreat" to explore the surrounding area or as a stopover on your drive on Highway 1. Sue & Dan

Cute little place, close enough to the town centre to walk to dinner, yet in a quiet neighbourhood far from crowds. The hosts are very welcoming and responsive, and keep the studio really well stocked with small consumables for the kitchen and bathroom.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at David and Brenda’s. Their studio was well equipped, comfortable, clean and in a great location. Close enough to walk to everything but also very quiet and calm. Communication was excellent all the way through, they are very thoughtful and leave no stone unturned. We would not hesitate to stay in their studio again when returning to Carmel!

Lovely private guest accommodations with hosts who have thought of everything! Really grateful for all the amenities provided and tailored treats. Great recommendations for local eats and walks/hikes. We didn't have to do any research at all, and loved all of our activities and meals. Really nice to be able to walk into town and to the beach through the carmel by the sea community. Very gracious and accommodating hosts that want you to enjoy your stay, very responsive and available should you have any questions. Everything inside spotless, comfortable and roomy, with all that you will need.
