This modern lodge is seconds from the freeway, 5 minutes from Shasta Caverns and Shasta Lake, and a quick 55 minutes (traffic/weather depending) to Mt. Shasta for Skiing/snowboarding or other winter fun, and just 15 minutes to Bethel! The main floor features 4 distinct gathering areas, including a MASSIVE single-slab redwood table that seats 22, and beautiful pool table. The second level features 2 additional large gathering areas/living rooms, each with a big screen TV that are networked together so large groups can use both living rooms but watch the same movie! The 8 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms are all at the back of the house, beautifully decorated with themes of the surrounding area, including lakes, mountains, forests, and outdoor adventures and fun! The Gathering Place at Shasta Lake is perfect for your next group gathering…. you won’t want to leave! Except, of course, to spend time on the Lake, the Mountains, or area attractions!
No events/weddings. Perfect for things like reunions, large family/friend gatherings, church groups, etc.
We do have a Ring Doorbell at the front door and Ring Security camera at the back door, when activated can record audio/video

Annual family trip

The house was perfect for our needs, plenty of beds and space. It was a short 5 minute drive to Baily cove where we launched the sea-Doo's everyday. Holiday harbor was only a few minutes further where we rented a day cruiser for some of the time we were there. We all had a wonderful time and I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing Gathering Place for our large family!!!

We were fortunate to spend the entire week at this amazing house with our extended family of 20 people! This house has an incredible open layout with a large kitchen, large dining table where everyone can eat together, multiple couches and tvs to hangout, as well as pool table and foosball! Fun for all ages including our kids!Easy drive to Shasta Lake and to Redding!Would love to stay here again! A

"THE BEST EVER"

WOW! What a large and spacious place with 8 BR and all sorts of different arears for every age. The premier item was a table that was made of one slab of wood. It was fabulous and seated all 22 of us. We ate, played games and just sat around and talked. We spent 3 nights playing in the sun at Shasta Lake. This is a "must do" at least once in your life. My family felt it was well worth the journey. We loved it so much we plan to return again!

Great for a retreat

This house worked great for our staff retreat. It was close to Bethel, where we attended a conference. The house had large gathering areas, and plenty of bedrooms.

Christmas Cabin

Rented for a week to spend Christmas with family. Beautiful home with ample space. The owners were awesome and went above and beyond when we had an issue.

Wonderful Vacation House

It was wonderful experience staying at this property. Perfect for family with kids. Our kids loved it !!! so did adults 😁😁. We wished we could stay another night. only thing we missed was the christmas tree 😪😪

Family and friends reunion

Fabulous layout of house facilitates small groups and large groups to visit and catch up. Also, the floor plan is comfortable for large groups to stay overnight and enjoy one another. We were able to fix many meals and enjoy them together as one large group and make very special memories. We look forward to scheduling another family vacation at this property.

Works well with Adults & kids

Despise some malfunctioning hardware (fan & lights & A/C) this stay was a blast. Lots of room for our 9 littles, plus 13 adults! Lots of space for everyone & that table was really perfect!! We had a great time on the lake for a day renting a pontoon boat at Holiday Harbor (so close!) and going to Shasta Caverns the other day. This house is perfectly named, it is a fantastic “gathering place”.

Beautiful House, Great Host!

The house itself is beautiful with a great, open layout for large groups to have enough space for everyone (group of 30+) while still feeling connected. The host was excellent with communication and was very helpful during the reservation process and throughout our entire stay. 10/10 would recommend.

Aimee and Andrew were very kind and considerate hosts. They were very communicative and were always happy to help make our stay as comfortable as possible. This home was new, clean, and in great shape. I appreciate their customer service and would most definitely be interested in returning for another stay at The Gathering Place.

Great for family reunion!

Description does not do this place justice! Third floor is specifically geared towards kids with big nets to play on and multiple beds. We had a family reunion with 27 people and it accommodated us no problem. Super close to Shasta caverns and multiple marinas and 15 minutes from Redmond. Great kitchen with all the amenities. Would have been nice to have additional fans for additional air flow in the home with so many bodies but besides that it was a wonderful place. They also had multiple barbecues and ample storage for recycling and trash.

Family Reunion

This place is amazing and delightfully surprising because it is so unique. We had adults and children of all ages and everyone found a place to have fun whether it was playing pool, foosball or finding a quiet corner to read a book. There are nets on the second and third floors that spread like very sturdy hammocks across spaces. We have a lot of Spider Man fans in our family and they were in 7th heaven as they struck poses or danced across these nets. We didn't see photos of the kitchen in the listing but it was big enough to cook for a crowd. We could have used a second refrigerator, but the large cooler in another room did the trick. There are so many things to do in the area! We enjoyed Shasta Caverns that are just down the road. If you stay, don't miss the incredible waterfalls like Burney and McCloud! This was a very memorable stay for us and we would highly recommend staying here! The home is well maintained and was immaculately clean!

Great large group rental!

My only reluctance in giving this place a good review is that it may not be available for our next group gathering. We were an all adult group but this place would be great for kids and multiple family units. The heart of the place is the massive slab table where we could sit everyone in our group for meals. Tons of room for everybody be and the pictures don't show the top floor loft with 4 beds and netted lounging area that would be awesome for kids. Cell reception is not great which is typical in mountainous country but conveniently you can go about 200 feet down the driveway and call your boss and let them know you won't be reachable for the rest of your vacation. The internet was down during our stay apparently due to the antenna being knocked loose during the heavy storms going on during our trip - manager was notified and is having it repaired. Altogether 10/10, this place is peerless in terms of large group gathering places where everybody gets a real bed to sleep on and not some funky couch being called a bed.

Great venue

This property was excellent for our family birthday party. Plenty of rooms, beds, etc. for all. CONS: No internet! Caused a few college students a problem. No phone connection! Caused some to not be able to contact home. We had a moth infestation so bad we couldn’t go outside. If you quickly opened and shut the door, you would have 10-20 moths rush in to the house. The electrical plugs in the kitchen and on main floor were dead. Had an electrician with us. Ran circuit breaker and GFI’s in line and all were dead. Don’t believe that you have internet or cellular from VRBO. It is inaccurate. All in all, we had a great time and the venue was perfect for a large group.

Great setup for large group gathering!

Everything about our stay was on point. Easy renting experience, property owner was very responsive with our questions, concerns and very timely with information. The home was great and had a lot of room for our group. It’s located in a nice secluded area with easy access to the freeway and the lake. The property was clean and ready when we arrived. The property does have some wear and tear with some of the furniture which could easily be fixed with a once through with a handyman but otherwise in great shape. The home was stocked with plenty of supplies for prepping food. We really enjoyed are stay and will absolutely consider renting during the summer time to enjoy the lake.
