75 Steps to private beach where sea turtles nest May through October

Our little piece of paradise on Manasota Key is an “old Florida” complex built in 1961 in a kquiet, comfortable, laid-back setting with its own private beach.

Just 75 steps away from the Gulf of Mexico, our one bedroom unit with queen size bed in the bedroom and queen sleeper sofa in the living room, can sleep up to four people. Unit #8 is located in a separate, one-story building with just two side-by-side units, behind the main two-story building. The bathroom is accessible through the bedroom. There is ample seating for dining inside and outside. A fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals at home. There is also a nice propane grill right outside.

There is a free laundry room for guest use, with multiple washers and dryers. There is patio seating outside the laundry facility so you can relax while doing your laundry.

There is easy access to the beach, around both ends of the main building (the larger, 2-story building in the pictures). Enjoy beautiful sunsets, a quiet sandy beach, fishing from the shore, screened-in swimming pool, hot tub, and just plain relaxing. There are many restaurants close by, along with shopping, bars, boat rentals, and parasailing. Stumpy’s Free Ride shuttle service is available to transport you to all of these places. There are also several golf courses within a ten-mile radius, some as close as 3-4 miles.

Turtle season is May through October, when you may see turtles laying their eggs, or even see the eggs hatching. We had eight nests on our piece of beach in 2021.

Our beach is equipped with lounge chairs, and you will find pool noodles and beach toys in the storage unit near the hot tub.

Free Wifi and streaming services (Hulu is provided) will keep you connected to your “other world” should you so desire.

No pets allowed. Check in after 3pm and check out at 10am.
