Our Charmhouse property was originally a farm, and sits way back away from College Ave, surrounded by pastures. We have a 4 night MAX stay. We are 1.5 miles from Old Town Square. Deer and other wildlife visit our yard frequently. The main house is occupied, but your space is the private (locked and secure) back portion and entire upstairs of the home. It is a simple place, and we hope you can appreciate the serenity. No parties allowed. This a NON smoking property. There is no AC, but lots of fans. The large garden space is shared, but generally the paver deck along the fence is enjoyed by the guests, and side yard/deck enjoyed by owners. It’s on two acres, so quite a bit of room! There is a no-cook kitchenette (city ordinance) which includes a microwave, coffee pot, small refrigerator, and a barbecue out back that you are welcome to use. Fort Collins is a foodie and craft beer haven, so you can enjoy Old Town restaurants and breweries and heat up leftovers once home. There is bar-top seating, a small kitchen table, as well as outdoor picnic table with lounge chairs to enjoy our peaceful setting. We have a work desk area, and wi-fi. It has limited “lounging” space in the unit, and lots of space to stretch out outside. There is a small social enterprise run on the property that does not interfere with guests in any way. Fort Collins is recognized as a top bicycling city, with many trails across the entire city. Two bikes and locks are available for your use, and the Bike Co-op is a block away for more rentals, if needed for your group. The Cache la Poudre River is designated “Wild and Scenic” and white river rafting is available on the river up the canyon, while locally, you can enjoy tubing, swimming and fishing within minutes from our home. The Whitewater Park is a mile away. The iconic “Lyric” is a block away. It is an outdoor movie theater and music venue, and we can enjoy their music heard in our backyard. Colorado State University is three miles away, with its beautiful campus and Flower Trial Gardens. Visiting parents and prospective students are welcome! Rocky Mountain National Park, Cheyenne Wyoming, and Denver are within an hour’s drive. Horsetooth Reservoir is a 25 minute drive where you can enjoy water sports, hiking and picnicking. Summer is heaven here! (We do allow one small-medium sized crate trained dog on the property, with a $100 per night pet rent.) Please inquire about your furry one BEFORE sending a booking request. We do not allow more than one dog. We do not have secure fences, and the property is shared with deer and other wildlife. Although we understand you might want to enjoy your vacation while leaving your dog behind, we ask that it be limited to a 2 hour time frame. (It breaks our heart to listen to your loved one's cries.)
