Right across the street from the golf course, this gorgeous brick home is just a short drive to Beech Mountain Ski Resort, restaurants, festivals, and events, as well as a quick hop over to the Buckeye Recreation Center and Buckeye Lake. Set on nearly a half-acre, this 3,600-square-foot home is surrounded by trees and lush, grassy lawn. Enjoy the golf-course and tree-lined view from the large, covered deck, cup of coffee in hand.

Inside, you’ll find funky and eclectic decor – puzzle masters in particular will love the framed puzzles in the downstairs living room. The main living space lives large thanks to vaulted ceilings and an open floor plan that combines the living room, dining area, and farmhouse-style kitchen, which features all the space and appliances the chef could need to create family meals. Multiple living spaces and dens offer little nooks for study, work, or play. Board games and plenty of books will keep everyone entertained even if weather falls through. Other in-home entertainment options include free WiFi, cable, and four streaming-capable TVs. End the night with a frosty beverage on the deck, or gather in front of the gas fireplace before bed. Two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs each offer a sound night’s sleep.

Large comfortable home in quiet area
Second time we've stayed in this home. This is a nice large home equipped with everything needed to feel at home. Located in a golf course community with great views of the mountains through the trees, and quiet neighbors. Having a garage was a huge help when trying to pack the car in the pouring rain. Will be staying here again in the future.

A Mix of Expectations – Gorgeous Property, Some Hiccups
Having stayed at this Vacasa property in Banner Elk last spring, we were eager to return for a Labor Day weekend getaway, reminiscing about the quiet, cozy, and home-like ambiance we experienced before. However, our enthusiasm was quickly replaced with disappointment upon our recent visit. Pros: *Ambience: The house still retains its quiet, cozy, and home-like feel which we adored during our last stay. Cons: *Amenities: Several amenities were not up to par. The TV cable was non-functional, the fireplace couldn't be started, and the master bedroom had a missing lamp shade. *Customer Service: Our attempts to communicate the issues to Vacasa were met with lukewarm responses. Despite texting them multiple times, there was no active initiative from their end to resolve the problems. No one visited the property during our 4-day stay to address or inspect the concerns. *Lack of Amenities: Notably, the property does not offer a grill, something potential visitors should be aware of. *Noise Issues: A particularly unsettling aspect was the noisy refrigerator. It not only produced a loud rumbling noise but also caused a palpable vibration felt in the master bedroom, making nights rather restless. Conclusion: While our first visit to this property left us with fond memories, our recent stay was marred by multiple issues that remained unaddressed. We hope that Vacasa takes our feedback seriously and ensures better maintenance and customer service in the future. We'd advise potential visitors to verify the amenity status before booking.
