Better than advertised

We loved our stay! The cabin was in great shape - clean, modern, lots of space. The outside was up-to-date with lots of lighting. There are great views off the back patio, and the kids loved the swing under the patio. The grass behind the cabin was good for the kids to play on, and the kids explored the woods on the property. There isn’t another soul to be seen and you can’t hardly hear any other sounds from neighbors, if there are any. We certainly didn’t see any. We were in our own forest oasis! The owners, Joe and Lerene, are so easy to work with and they love to share their cabin with families. They are great communicators. Nothing but good things to say about them. We now call them our Arkansas friends! Don’t hesitate to stay here. You won’t be disappointed!

Perfect get away home!

Me, my fiancé, and some of her family rented the cabin for a full week for a family vacation. The owners were very nice and even made us brownies haha. Definitely recommend staying here as it was the cleanest stay I’ve ever seen away from home!

Family fishing trip

This cabin worked great for our Labor Day Weekend. Joe and Lorene were very helpful while we were there and the cabin is very close to the trout docks. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and we really enjoyed the living areas and the deck areas. We will definitely book this cabin again.

The owners were very cordial and provided a home away from home which made our stay very pleasing. The house is very open and a good floorplan with basically and entire mini house minus the kitchen on the bottom floor. The owners even provided a notebook with local things to do and contact numbers. Cedar Haven is definitely a great place to take your family when in Norfork or even Mountain Home which is a short 20 minute drive away. We would definitely consider this place again when we visit !!! 5 stars all the way around 😃

Joe and Lerene are retired school teachers from Indiana. Joe was a School Counselor and a Director of Guidance and Lerene was a most fabulous choral middle school teacher in Vigo County, Terre Haute. They have fished and visited the area sine the late 70s. Both love fly fishing and exploring the National Forests. Flyfishing is Joe's passion. Lerene is an excellent cook, wife ,Grandma and mother of two police officers - Marines. What ever the task is, she gets it done. We built the log home for our family and now offer it to you for your enjoyment and relaxation.
Joe and Lerene want you to have excellent vacation. What ever your need or desire we will make every effort to help you accomplish it in a timely manner. When you are here just call us. We are only a few minutes away and will take care of your concern immediately.

We bought the property to build a family vacation spot for our sons, wives, children and grand Children. It is secluded but only minutes away from the best trout fishing you can find. Whether you like to wade, fish from a long boat or drift boat, you can have a excellent trip on the Norfork River or the White River.
