This is a spectacular home in a wonderful location with a world-class host! You will not be disappointed. I’d give it 6 stars if I could!We needed a large place for our family of 8 adults in PEI. We were very fortunate to rent here. It was perfect for our family and I highly recommend it.The home was exceptionally clean and amazingly well provisioned. Five good size bedrooms with 4 full washrooms plus 2 half washrooms.Right on the banks of the Hillsborough river with a beautiful deck and a fantastic view of Charlottetown across the river.Two sets of washer/dryer. Pristine gas bbq on deck. 10 minutes to Charlottetown. Lots of parking space. THREE coffee makers! With coffee and beans provided! TWO ovens a microwave. Two sinks for easy cleanups. Dishwasher of course.We have rented numerous homes and cottages across North American and Europe, but we have never had a host as terrific as Candy. When we arrived there were fresh baked goods provided plus milk in the fridge. When we asked her what board games were in the house, she turned it back on me to request which ones we wanted and she went out and got them for us. Midweek she surprised us with a bottle of wine and a significant gift card to ensure all 8 of us could try the local PEI ice cream (Cows). Candy gave us good advice on local restaurants - including places to avoid. In addition to all this Candy’s responsiveness was incredible - sub-hour in most situations.“You Gotta Stay Here!!”

“Above and beyond” house and host

Our stay at Candy and Edward’s lovely PEI house was superb. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the house and the amenities. Candy was an amazing host and extremely thoughtful about our comfort and enjoyment. The house is gorgeous and extremely comfortable, tastefully appointed and equipped. We were a family of 10 adults on PEI for our niece’s wedding. Everyone had a comfortable bed. Towels were fluffy. Spotless!! Views! We are all tennis enthusiasts and loved watching Wimbledon on the big screen TV and then playing a friendly family game on some nearby public tennis courts. Easy drive to Charlottetown. We highly recommend this house and host!!

Simply the best

Candy’s property exceeded all expectations. The house was perfect for our family of 13 - we were blessed to spend the week here along with our 3 daughters and their families. This home is very spacious and comfortable. The yard provided a wonderful space for running, playing and dancing by day and then by night while enjoying the fire pit. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals for the clan. Candy gifted us throughout our stay - beginning with pastries she had baked for us and she delivered pizza for lunch on the day we arrived. She even prepared dinner for us on our last night there. The location is perfect, full water view from the back yard and access to the water from the yard. Loved by all - ages 7 weeks to 66 years. When we return to Prince Edward Island we hope to stay there again.

Thank you for choosing our home. We were quite surprised by the low rating, as during your stay you expressed how much you loved the house, and at checkout you kindly mentioned how much you would miss it and appreciated our efforts. Our home already had enough space and beds to accommodate your family, but to meet your special request we went out and purchased two brand-new cribs and two high chairs. We also prepared gender-specific bedding in pink and blue for the children, along with toys, to make their stay feel more comfortable and homelike. Knowing that your little ones might crawl and play on the floor, we made an extra effort despite the tight check-in/check-out schedule that day. We carried out a deep cleaning of the entire 4,000 square foot house, wiping down all the floors with disinfectant wipes to ensure everything was safe and hygienic. In addition, we purchased a new outdoor carpet, disinfected it, and laid it over the existing carpet so the children could play with peace of mind, without parents needing to worry about using a previously lived-in carpet. I would also like to clarify that we do not hand over our home to a management company. Every detail is cared for personally, because it matters to us that the quality is consistent and thoughtful. Our goal has always been to create one of the very best villa vacation homes in Prince Edward Island, and we continually strive to achieve that standard. Although we don’t fully understand the reason behind this low rating, we respect every guest’s perspective. Please know that we will continue to uphold the highest standards and personally care for every detail, so that future guests can enjoy a comfortable, memorable, and truly special stay here on PEI.
