We call her “Solmate” because we believe she’s the perfect beach getaway for those families and friends looking to create wonderful, intimate, and forever memories while at Folly Beach. Situated at the far end of the island, on the quietest stretch of sand, you’ll enjoy fellowship and serenity while soaking in the gorgeous views of ocean and beach from this quaint, 4 bedroom, 2 bath, beach-front bungalow.

Beach living at Solmate is conveniently all on one floor. The master bedroom with its wonderful ocean views and private access to the newly replaced back deck has a king bed while the other two bedrooms are queen. The master shares a full bathroom with the second queen bedroom. The third bedroom has a queen bed as well and has a view of the front garden. There is also one larger bedroom with 2 full beds that works well for children or adults. The two full bathrooms each have a tub that makes bathing children easier. The kitchen is fully equipped including French press coffee maker as well as traditional drip style/Kcup combo, waffle maker, and Ninja blender. If you don’t feel like cooking, don’t worry, there are fabulous restaurants nearby for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Although Solmate is very child friendly with step stool in bathroom, booster seat, and pack n/play, please know that pets and smoking are not allowed. Also, out of respect for our neighbors and owners, no events are allowed that exceed the maximum occupancy of the home. Must be 25 years old or older to rent.

For your enjoyment there is an outdoor shower on the newly replaced back deck, charcoal grill and plenty of private parking. Also provided are Turkish beach towels, beach chairs, plush bath towels and luxury bed linens (with cozy, down duvets in our colder months) throughout the home for your comfort.....please enjoy them. Keyless entry is one more way we try to help you simplify your stay.

The Folly Pier, completely replaced in 2023 with restaurant/bar, and Center Street with all the shops and restaurants are only a 20 minute walk down the beach or 5 minute golf cart ride. A 10 minute walk in the opposite direction up the beach lands you in the county park and provides for the most amazing sunsets in Charleston. No matter where you are on the beach, keep a look out for the dolphins....they are everywhere. And if you like a treasure hunt, there is no limit to the number of sharks’ teeth found in the sand. A 35 minute drive and downtown Charleston’s many amenities are at your fingertips.....don’t forget your credit cards! If you plan to bring a boat, the Folly Beach boat landing is less than 2 miles from the house and has excellent access to the Folly River. Take the Folly River east to access Kiawah Island or Morris Island Lighthouse and Fort Sumter to the west. It is also tons of fun and easy to rent golf carts, kayaks, paddle boards and other gear right on the island.....

This property is raised which does require climbing stairs to access. No elevator access. Must climb stairs.

The property is cleaned by a professional cleaning company that follows CDC cleaning guidelines.

Check In Information: After booking, a day before your arrival, you will receive the address and basic reminders about check in time and parking. Check in time is 4pm and at check in you will receive the keyless entry code, specific parking information, wifi username and password, as well as keypad instructions.

Check Out Information: Check out time is 10am. Our dedicated housekeeping team will take care of all aspects of cleaning the house including linens. We do ask that upon your departure that you ensure you take all belongings with you and lock the door.

The exterior of this property is monitored by video surveillance. Outdoor cameras are located at the front of the house overlooking the driveway and back of the house overlooking the deck. The cameras are motion activated and record audio and visual 24/7.

Payment information: If you choose to pay in installments, if the second payment is not made on or before the 60 day before arrival mark, your reservation will be cancelled without refund.

Cancellation policy: We do adhere to our cancellation policy. Please review before booking. We encourage our guests who book to purchase their own travelers insurance in case they need to make a cancellation.
-Hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th. We follow a strict cancellation policy and do not issue refunds unless The National Weather Service or local government authorities order mandatory evacuations. Additionally, South Carolina weather can be unpredictable in the summer; in the event of loss of power and/or internet, or any other "out of our control" situation due to local storms, we will not grant refunds.
