The home and the grounds were great. I actually think the home was better than depicted in the photos. Very spacious and comfortable. Mike was easy to work with and the response time with any questions we had was great.

We had a great time staying at Michael's place. Everything was as described and we were pleasantly surprised by the number of available board games which helped occupy our children. There are definitely a lot of bugs (mostly outside) but that's expected given the location in the woods. Overall we had a great time and a great experience and would definitely stay here again!

This is a fantastic property. Very unique. The host is very accommodating and responsive. Even though we had a good bit of rain, the pool was great. We loved the isolation and quiet as well. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a remarkable home - a real gem. We’re architecture enthusiasts and the opportunity to stay in this well-loved home based on Frank Lloyd Wright’s principles was a wonderful experience. The kids enjoyed the spaces, the pool. We did too. The host, Michael, was always responsive. Have recommended this to many others already. And we would love to return!

The mid-century modern design is beautifully preserved and well maintained, giving the whole property a timeless, curated feel. We brought our dog and had no issues. The pet-friendly setup and secluded surroundings made it easy to relax without worrying about neighbors. The space itself is generously sized and feels private in the best possible way.The weather did not corporate while we were there, so the pool stayed more of a scenic backdrop than an actual amenity, but it looked pristine and clearly gets great care.

Coolest Place to Stay!

We had a great stay at this beautiful house. We really enjoyed the pool too! The house was clean, cozy and overall just a fun place to stay. Michael, the host, was quick to communicate, was super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

Quiet setting great vibes

House was great. Loved the vibe of the architecture and the kids had a great time in pool. Kitchen was well stocked, extra beach towels and plenty of books to read were nice perks to a little family getaway.

Wonderful Property and a Historic Home

We chose this home for its location, space and unique build quality. It was an excellent stay and a great place to meet up with some of our family as my mother-in-law lives in the area. Michael was responsive and hospitable. The property was beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Thanks for letting us stay!

The Wright House was the right house for us.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving reunion with family at this house and enjoyed getting to see Frank Lloyd Wright-esque architecture from the inside. Michael, the property manager, was very responsive to our questions and to our needs.

A great trip back to the 60s

This is a fantastic property, it’s a time capsule of early 60s. The house is really just amazing architecturally, the back patio and pool area are serene. We felt the owner communicated very well and was flexible, overall a great experience.

This adorable and well-maintained house offers plenty of space with multiple gathering areas, making it ideal for large families or group getaways. The home is exceptionally clean and thoughtfully laid out, providing comfort and charm in every room. The spacious back patio is perfect for BBQs and outdoor entertaining. We didn’t get to enjoy the pool due to the cold weather, but it looked amazing and will be a hit in warmer months!

Hidden Mechanicsburg Gem

The 'Wright' Retreat was clean, well stocked, and very private. It is close to various Harrisburg/Hershey/Gettysburg attractions but the in-ground pool was a bigger hit with the kids. We spent a couple of days just enjoying the pool. Michael was easy to work with and responsive to all messages and inquiries.

Absolutely relaxing environment! All you need to bring is your swim suit and personal care, everything else is provided even towels for the pool. The kitchen is overly supplied with all equipment. A very lovely getaway. Thanks Micheal for everything....

Amazing!

Our family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights and found the house very unique. It was very spacious and the beds very comfortable. We enjoyed travelling to Hershey Park and other nearby attractions. My children loved the pool - especially swimming with the pool lights on in the dark. My daughter enjoyed playing outside with the cats every day - Minx especially craved attention! The literature supplied by the owner for nearby restaurants was appreciated. We enjoy Chinese food and the take-out at the Giant store was delicious (close by and easier than making our own meals!). Thanks for allowing us to stay at the Wright Retreat Michelle.

A wonderfully relaxing family vacation

We picked this house based on logistics. We are scattered around the country and wanted to minimize plane fares. We also wanted a house with a pool and one that allowed dogs. But this house FAR exceeded our minimal expectations. What an honor to stay in a house designed by one of Frank Lloyd Wright's students, especially because we have made an effort to visit various Wright houses open to the public. The highlight for us was definitely the wonderful pool and we were lucky to have perfect weather. But the house, which is comfortable in every way, would have kept us relaxed and entertained in rainy weather also. We at almost all of our meals at the house and it was more than adequately equipped. The bed arrangement, with a semi-private room for two of our daughters, was ideal. We would definitely come back.

Large communal spaces, great outdoors and nice pool

Overall the property is as listed. It has a lot of the owner’s belongings in it and it is clear that this place was lived in for a long time. As a result, the house is a bit tired in places. It had a few bulbs out here and there, and had a smell of mothballs along the main corridor but nothing major. For a family getaway, it’s perfect. Great pool (with box of toys/floats) and outdoor area surrounded by peaceful woods, and a firepit. Inside, the kitchen is well-equipped and there are 3 communal rooms. Lots of old games in the cupboards and books galore. Great bedroom for kids, with an ace bunkbed. Showers (wetrooms) are amazing. Great laundry facilities and 2 x fridges so perfect to stock up. Shops very nearby ranging from groceries to Starbucks to CVS. Farm shops are a must - Paulus has great outdoor area for kids, with animals, play place and sand pit. In sum, really nice spot. Perhaps could do with a once over to make it 5 stars and also worth refreshing the listing photos to show off everything. Nevertheless, great spot and we really enjoyed our stay

Unique property

We were looking for a dog-friendly house with a pool to disconnect for a few days and this definitely fit the bill. It's a unique layout and the 6 of us had plenty of room to spread out. The host was very responsive whenever we needed to contact him. I love to cook and the house had a surprisingly well-stocked kitchen - even though the area is secluded there is a Giant 5 minutes down the road so it was easy enough to pop out for groceries and supplies. The only improvement I can think of is the house could use a deep clean at the end of the season. Totally get it's an older property (we live in one too!) but there were a lot of cobwebs in corners and the windows could use a wipe down.
