The space
New listing!! New Host!! Nestled away for privacy and room to play, the home has plenty of room for everyone. The house situated 20 mins from Gulf shores town where you will find plenty to do and be able to come back to the comforts of a true Vacation, no congestion,no lines, no overcrowding of the beaches. This beach getaway is the one you have been waiting for. If you really want a true vacation this is the complex to be at.
We have a few local shops and restaurants in the area .
Master bedroom has a comfy king bed, the room is decorated beautifully, the-coral room has an en-suite with bathtub and shower combo. 2nd bedroom- whale room has two queen beds and two build in twins beds a closet and a chest of drawers, plenty of room for everyone’s beach items and clothes.
3rd bedroom has a lovely comfortable queen bed and decorated beautifully the-flamingo room. Each bedroom has a smart tv.
Kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked in case you want to cook some home baked meals. The living room and dining room has plenty of space for everyone to sit, relax and to enjoy their family meals or even watch a movie.
Last but not least the screened in porch is everyone’s favorite, you can listen to nature, you can hear the frogs all the time you can hear the waves crashing but best of all looking up at the stars at night is really just beautiful, the night sky is black, there is no street lights or big buildings in this area so the stars light up the big beautiful sky. The whole cottage is yours. In this community you have available to you two pools and a game room with two bathrooms but you can also feel free to relax in this neighborhood it’s very safe and family friendly. You can walk the beautiful natural habitat we live in which is just amazing! Ride your bike in this beautiful area. Go for a jog. Chase each other with water guns. Do what ever your heart desires. Just have fun! Trails for golf carts or just walk them. The trails lead directly to the beach access. Every families favorite thing to do is the golf cart ride to the beach.Rent some kayaks go on mobile bay and tour behind the Rookery 3 Neighborhood.

Fort Morgan beach does not have life guards or a flag system so please text ALLBEACHES TO 888777 to get your daily updates on rip tide and beach information for your own safety.


No boats . No trailers No RVs. .
No golf carts belonging to guests are allowed on Rookery III premises as we are ran by a COA and this is in the rules and regulations.

Need a tent or chairs left at the beach for you, for your whole stay, call Ft. Morgan Beach Rental, ask for Walt.

Need a golf cart , call Island Cart Rental ask for Tim or Coastal Cart Rental, you do not need a parking spot or pass for golf cart.


2 parking spaces only, which is paid with cleaning fee, if you need a third it is a $100. And only if available. Please ask ahead to secure a spot, space is limited in prime season.

Sassy Bass restaurant, liquor and grocery store. Turn right at exit.

Sassy Bass at the plantation. Sits on the beach.

Tacky jacks 2 (1 is in town). Bay views and great sunsets from the deck. Karaoke downstairs.

Tiki Cookout and BBQ ( owned by Sassy Bass ) has pizza and subs at the shop. Quick Stop!

Fort Morgan historical site is just a couple of miles from the Rookery located at the end of the peninsula, the beach there is also the best place for collecting shells.

All beach photos sunset and sunrises are my photos from the Cortez beach which is the closest beach exit from The Rookery .

You can catch the dolphins doing what they do best, watch your feet sometimes the stingrays swim by in the Gulf and lots of other sea life. Get the kids some nets for the tiny little fish! And the crabs at night time! ( included in the beach closet)
This area is surround by nature bunnies are every where, it’s the experience that ever child needs and adults should experience at least one time in their life, you will fall in love with this beautiful area .

If you leave your doors open please expect to invite some of nature in your home. Do not even ask for a refund . Please close your doors. We are surrounded by Bon Secour national wildlife preserve.

You will receive such southern hospitality your next thought will be to move here. I’ve had at least four guest from rentals tell me they were going to try and buy here. This is the place to be. You won’t ever forget the feelings you had of being here.


This area you will lay on the beach, swim in the pool, ride your bikes, go do all the activities in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach have to offer, maybe go paddle boarding, kayaking, Wind surfing, regular surfing go to the trampoline park climb the walls hit a couple of baseballs, or try the new Jurassic mini golf, do the challenge rooms, water park indoors / outdoors go to Owa do the roller coasters even go to the skate park and go skateboarding what ever your heart desires. Lots of golf courses. Fish until you can’t fish no more. Go to fort Morgan historical site and explore all day long.
Dolphin cruises are popular. Pirate ships are super fun. Tiki cruises are great for adults. So much to do, come ready for the greatest time of your life. Get your calendar out and get it ready for a fun packed vacation.
Have a picnic on the beach have it set up with pillows and a tent and food- Call Beach Moms-Get married on the beach.

Have a family reunion/school reunion in The Rookery 3 we can get you a bunch of houses here, there is 48 rentals available.
If you come in season with turtles laying eggs and hatching please stop by visitor center and purchase red flash lights to explore the beach so the turtles do not lose there way looking to get to the Gulf. .
Grab a bucket and a net for night time exploring with your kids there is little crabs every where it’s the best of fun they will ever have, you will enjoy the moon light on the gulf and the beautiful stars and the Milky Way in the night sky. .

During your stay you are provided with some beach chairs, adult and children beach towels, beach toys, floats, boogie boards goggles etc.
If you break them please replace . If you buy items and don’t want them leave for next guest don’t just garbage them, you might just make the next guest a very happy person. All we ask is leave them back all clean and tidy in the closet.

When you arrive you will be given a gift as a thank you for choosing to stay with us.

Your master bathroom with have a gift bag of essentials and the 2nd bathroom will be supplied with a starter pack of sample size shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap. The lotion is lemon grass it helps when we have pesky mosquitoes around!
Grey make-up cloths please use instead of white wash cloths, disposable make up cloths. Face mask’s as a treat. I want you to have a great vacation. You will be given larger bath towels to wrap around the body, high quality large bath towels and wash cloths .
The kitchen will be supplied with a starter pack of kitchen paper towels. Dish cloth and small dish cloth, sponge two detergent two dishwasher soaps, dish soap, 5 trash bags. A bag with cleaning cloths and a bottle of multi purpose spray to clean any mess or wipe counter tops.
Please do not wash white towels with any colors these need to be bleached every wash. Sand makes them discolor.

I am available 99% of the time and will do anything I can to make your stay as wonderful as I can, it’s my mission to make sure you have the best vacation ever. I will do my best from the minute you arrive.I hope you smile and go yes this is absolutely wonderful.

Going to Restaurants- go before 4:30 or go after 7:30 to miss the crazy crowds or you will be waiting on a list in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach in the summer . Or go a little further. Most don’t take reservations. If you have Amex there is one or two that take that dining app reservation!
